    Sensitivity of Mantel Haenszel Model and Rasch Model as Viewed From Sample Size

    The aims of this research is to study the sensitivity comparison of Mantel Haenszel and Rasch Model for detection differential item functioning, observed from the sample size. These two differential item functioning (DIF) methods were compared using simulate binary item respon data sets of varying sample size,  200 and 400 examinees were used in the analyses, a detection method of differential item functioning (DIF) based on gender difference. These test conditions were replication 4 times. For both differential item functioning (DIF) detection methods, a test length of 42 items was sufficient for satisfactory differential item functioning (DIF) detection with detection rate increasing as sample size increased. Finding the study revealed that the empirical result show Rasch Model are more sensitive to detection differential item functioning (DIF) than Mantel Haenszel. With reference to findings of this study, it is recomended that the use of Rasch Model in evaluation activities with multiple choice test. For this purpose, it is necessary for every school to have some teachers who are skillfull in analyzing results of test using modern methods (Item Response Theory)

    This study examines the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in supporting the capital of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Tebaban village. SMEs have an essential role in the economy in Indonesia, especially for the village-level government. However, the existence of SMEs is often ignored and does not receive the support of the local government. Therefore, the government must involve BUMDes to support the existence of SMEs, so that the community can increase the village's potential.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) dalam menopang modal Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) desa Tebaban. UKM mempunyai peran penting dalam perekonomian di Indonesia, khususnya bagi pemerintah tingkat desa. Tetapi, keberadaan UKM sering diabaikan dan tidak mendapat dukungan pemerintah setempat. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah harus melibatkan BUMDes untuk mendukung keberadaan UKM, agar masyarakat dapat meningkatkan potensi desa tersebut

    This research aimed to develop guided inquiry-based learning instruments on environment change material that was based on local coast learning resources that could improve students\u27 scientific skill and achievement. The learning instruments developed were a syllabus, lesson plans, assessment instruments, and student worksheets. This research employed Borg and Gall\u27s development model. Expert validation and readability test showed that the products were valid and did not need any revision. The students\u27 achievement on scientific skill belonged to the categories of good and very good, and their completion achievements were above 75%. Their response belonged to the categories of positive and very positive. As the result, it could be concluded that the learning instruments developed in this research were able to improve the students\u27 scientific skill and achievement.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran materi Perubahan lingkungan berbasis inkuiri terbimbing bersumber belajar lingkungan lokal pesisir pantai yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan ilmiah dan hasil belajar siswa. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terdiri dari silabus, RPP, instrumen penilaian, dan LKS. Model pengembangan yang digunakan mengadaptasi model Borg and Gall. Hasil validasi ahli dan uji coba keterbacaan mencapai kategori sangat valid sehingga tidak perlu direvisi. Pencapaian nilai untuk keterampilan ilmiah siswa pada kategori baik dan sangat baik dan hasil belajar siswa tuntas diatas 75%. Respon siswa pada kategori positif dan sangat positif. Hal ini menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan ilmiah dan hasil belajar siswa

    Tidal swamp lands containing acid sulphate is easily become idle land, which can be fixed by reducing oxidation process of pyrite (FeS2). The pyrite oxidation causes disturbance on the growth and yield of rice plant. An experiment was conducted by means soil leaching in order to reduce accumulation of pyrites. The research had been conducted in Simpang Jaya village, Barito Kuala District in 2012 using a split plot design with three replications. As the main plot was leaching, and no leaching treatment, while as the subplot was soil tillage, i.e., 1) control, 2) weeds cleared without tillage, 3) soil tillage at a depth of 15 cm, and 4) soil tillage at a depth of 30 cm. The results showed that the leaching treatment combined with tillage at a depth of 15 cm or 30 cm increased the number of rice tillers, shoot dry weight, and number of panicles per hill, and number of seeds per hill, thus the leaching treatment was able to increase rice production

    Prolonged QTc-Interval in Liver Cirrhotic Patient: Prevalence and Its Relationship with Severity of Liver Dysfunction

    Background: The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of prolonged QTc -interval and it\u27s relationship with the severity of liver dysfunction in liver cirrhotic patient in the outpatient clinic of Hepatology, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo General National Hospital Methods: cross sectional study. Eighty one subjects was recruited and being followed as a consecutive non random sampling. The patient was divided according to the modified Child-Pugh classification and undergo to the ECG examination (with minimal 2 leads have measured QT-interval; one of these is II, aVL, V2 or V3 lead). Result: The prolonged QTc-interval prevalence in liver cirrhotic patient was found in 55 subjects (67,9%) with the mean 448.6 msec (SD = 28,9; 95% CI = 442.2 - 454.8). Using the Forward Stepwise Method in multivariate analysis to the independent variables (p < 0.05) was found only the modified Child-Pugh classification had strongly correlation with the prolonged QTc-interval (OR = 11.2; 95% CI = 3.57-35.47; p = 0.000) Conclusion: The prolonged QTc-interval prevalence in liver cirrhotic patient is 67.9%. The prolonged QTc-interval were strongly associated with the severity of liver dysfunction

    Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Team Asissted Individualization (TAI) Terhadap Keterampilan Menyimak Pada Siswa Kelas II Sekolah Dasar

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pra eksperimen dengan jenis desain one group pretest posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II SDN 2 Janapria sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saat Pretest yang tuntas secara individual dari 20 siswa hanya 4 murid atau 20% yang memenuhi kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Secara klasikal rata-rata diperoleh sebesar 59,9% berada pada kategori rendah. Sedangkan posttest dimana dari 20 siswa terdapat 14 siswa atau 70% telah memenuhi KKM dan secara klasikal nilai rata-rata sebesar 76,3% kategori tinggi. Perolehehan dari hasil analisis statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan rumus uji t dengan jumlah t hitung 10,08 yang lebih besar daripada t tabel = 2,093. Berdasarkan data disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan menyimak siswa kelas II SDN Janapria Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023

    The hidden curriculum of a special education program in a Junior Science College in Malaysia

    The purpose of this study was to explore the facets of the hidden curriculum in a Junior Science College from the perspective of students labelled as gifted. This college is set up specifically for gifted and high academic achiever students. A qualitative approach was chosen to gather the data from former students and current teachers of this college. The data was collected from three focus group interviews with 16 former students, individual interviews with four students and 6 teachers, observations of school activities and document reviews. The data was analysed manually, codes and categories were identified and a rich description based on the categories was written to answer the research question. The results showed that the hidden curriculum is the result of the practices, procedures, rules, relationships, structures and physical characteristics of the Special Education Program (SEP). Eight themes were identified which resulted in the learning of intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. The study concluded that the hidden curriculum facilitated the transmission of social norms while the learning improved positive interpersonal and intrapersonal skills in the students, in spite of the restrictive nature of the special education program. According to the results, it can be concluded that flexibility and creativity in instruction promotes positive traits in students and teachers
