    Get PDF
Purpose: This paper conducts a thorough examination of the theoretical and empirical literature on the influence of public debt on economic growth in both developed and developing economies. The drive of this research is to determine whether there is mutual agreement on the effects of public debt on economic growth in global economies.   Design/methodology/approach: A literature review approach is adopted, and the current implications and future directions are explored based on theoretical and empirical analyses.   Findings: The investigation uncovers a range of contradictory information on the relative influence of public debt on economic growth. Although most of the literature reviewed supports the negative impact of public debt on economic growth, several other studies have found a long-run affirmative influence of public debt on economic growth via the fiscal multiplier effect. The article also uncovered that a few more research back up the Ricardian Equivalence Hypothesis (REH), which claims that there is no relationship between public debt and economic growth. Overall, it indicates that theoretical models and empirical studies produce indecisive outcomes based on a variety of criteria such as the level of development of the sampled nations, the methodology utilized, data coverage, and the researchers' choice of control variables, among others.   Practical implications: The outcomes may assist policymakers and governments in designing fiscal policies by analysing how existing debts affect the level of growth

    Get PDF
Purpose: This study's goal was to examine how customer satisfaction at Jordanian five-star hotels served as a mediator between the effects of website quality and e-trust on customer loyalty.   Design/methodology/approach: Questionnaires were the primary method used in the study for gathering data. The survey was created using data from earlier research and given to visitors staying at several five-star hotels in Amman, the country's capital. A convenience sample of 401 people received questionnaires from the researchers. The valid data was examined using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and SPSS V.25 (AMOS V.20).   Findings: The study found a favorable relationship between website quality and customer loyalty as well as a positive correlation between e-trust and consumer satisfaction. Additionally, there is a direct correlation between customer satisfaction and loyalty.   Research implications: Hotels should take steps to gain the public's trust if they want their websites to be regularly preferred by visitors. The website should also show a relationship between its target audience and the information and images about the hotel by consistently updating both. It has been demonstrated that users of online hotel booking websites exhibit higher levels of trust in websites. When a customer sees what to expect when staying at the hotel, their sense of risk reduces.   Originality/value: In order to research the marketing function of hotel services, which today heavily rely on online hotel reservations, this study is a ground-breaking endeavor to improve the worldwide tourism industry. The results should spur Jordanian hotels to research the factors that influence customer loyalty for online reservations

The pandemic COVID-19 proved as a great challenge for today world. The “Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan” timely control it due it’s aggressive actions against pandemic COVID-19, in contrast with other “MENA” countries. Where the government encouraged domestic tourism to reduce the burden on this sector. The purpose of this study is to lay emphasis on the Jordan domestic tourism in light of the investigation as to how digital marketing influence intention to domestic tourism with the moderating role of price, and the role of mediator perceived ease of use (PEOU). In order to achieve the objective, the study has adopted quantitative technique of analysis. The study has initially collected the primary data through questionnaire. The data were collected from 377 respondents (customers want to do domestic tourism) by using a convenience sampling technique. In the second step the collected data is analyzed by using statistical tools i.e. SPSS and AMOS. The outcomes of the “structural equation modeling”, concluded that digital marketing has significant relationship with PEOU and intentions to domestic tourism. Moreover; PEOU has a significant relationship with intentions to domestic tourism. Additionally, the PEOU also work as a mediating factor in association between the digital marketing, and intention to domestic tourism. Hypothesis on moderation effects were not justified. The outcomes of such study are useful to the domestic tourism industry for identifying tourists' needs during COVID-19 pandemic

This article establishes an e-government adoption structure to survey the mediating roles of perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), & trust, as well as the moderating role of transparency, in citizens' adoption of e-government services in the Jordanian public sector institutes. A quantitative approach using the questionnaire method was employed to test this model. Based on a snowball sampling, 423 questionnaires were staff of public universities in Jordan. Structural Equation Modelling was used to analyze the data. The findings show that PU and PEOU have a significant impact on service quality (SQ). Furthermore, PU, PEOU has a significant association with the adoption of e-government. More likely, the study found a link between SQ and e-government adoption through PU and PEOU. Also; trust plays a mediating role among PEOU and e-government adoption. It also shows that accountability enhances the PEOU’s commitment to e-government adoption. This article adds to e-government analysis from a theoretical as well as practical viewpoint. Theoretically, this research established a conceptual context for a greater understanding of e-government implementation in Jordanian public universities. Nonetheless, this article provides a comprehensive review of the acute causes for e-government adoption to provide practical input to Jordanian decision-makers on how to convince Jordanians to embrace e-government

Impact of digital HR technology between green human resources and environmental performance in Jordanian banks

    Get PDF
The present study investigates how green human resource management practices (GHRM) affect Jordanian commercial banks' environmental performance. It also examines the moderating effect of digital HR technology. A survey questionnaire was used to gather data from 12 commercial banks and 4 Islamic banks. PLS-SEM was used to analyze the data from the sample size of 402 questionnaires that were given to HR managers and supervisors at these institutions. The results indicated that dimensions of GHRM are strongly correlated to the environmental performance. In addition, digital HR technology has a negative effect related to environmental performance. Similarly, from the five indirect effect hypotheses, only one was supported, the moderating role of digital HR technology between green empowerment and environmental performance. To optimize the environmental advantages, digital HR technology integration into sustainability programs calls for original thought and inventive solutions. Banks can boost their environmental performance while simultaneously increasing their HR procedures and employee engagement by incorporating these novel concepts

    Get PDF
Using web-based technologies in various HR procedures is the concept of Electronic Human Resource Management or E-HRM. It makes a big difference to the efficiency of the business by providing several options for getting things done quickly. Nevertheless, there has been scant investigation into this field, and its maximum potential remains untapped, despite its meteoric rise. The present research also suggests adding the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to the E-HRM continuity model to find out what factors affect workers' behavioral intention to use E-HRM systems, and how awareness plays a role in this. In order to help advance E-HRM as a field, this study aims to expand the theoretical bounds of existing research. 400 prospective employees were scouted from Jordanian five-star hotels as part of the convenience sampling procedure used to get the data. Starting in January 2022, the data was collected over one month. We used a Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Smart PLS on the dataset to evaluate our hypothesis. The study found that behavioral intention to use E-HRM is significantly influenced by perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, and subjective norms. The results only backed up two of the four hypotheses on the moderator effect. Hotel workers will be better able to handle high levels of stress and conduct their jobs more efficiently if the industry adopts E-HRM technology

    Get PDF
Purpose: The goal of this study is to determine how organizational justice (OJ), employee silence (ES), and workplace bullying (WB) affect turnover intention (TI). ES and WB play mediating roles in this study, and work stress (WS) acts as a moderator between ES, WB, and IT.   Design/methodology/approach: The study has selected for a quantitative method of analysis in order to meet its goal. 370 nurses from Jordan's public hospitals filled out questionnaires based on a random sample. Smart PLS 3.3.3 was used to evaluate the data.   Findings: Results show that OJ is highly impacted by IT. OJ also has a close relationship with ES and WB. ES and WB hence have a substantial relationship with IT. More significantly, the study showed that the OJ and IT were mediated through the ES and WB. Additionally, WS acts as a mediator between WB and IT.   Practical implications: This paper adds to the body of theoretical and applied research on turnover intention analysis. This study's theoretical framework should make it easier for individuals to understand the difficulties that come with the intention to turnover in Jordan's public hospitals. However, this study offers Jordanian decision-makers with useful guidance on how to encourage Jordanians to lessen their intentions to turnover by thoroughly examining the critical factors that influence turnover intention.   Originality/value: It is important to take into account the rising rate of employee turnover at Jordan's public hospitals. Turnover has become a significant concern for management on a global scale
