Gıda Kaynaklı Viral Gastroenteritler

Virüsler, az sayıda gen taşıyan küçük bir genomdan ve bu genomu koruyup konak hücreye girişini sağlayan protein bir kılıftan oluşurlar. Diğer canlılardan farklı olarak aktif bir metabolizmaya sahip değillerdir. Çoğalmak için içine girdikleri hücrenin protein sentez ve enzim sistemlerinin kontrolünü ele geçirir, çok sayıda kopyalarını ürettikten sonra çoğunlukla hücrenin ölümüne yol açarak hücreden dışarı çıkarlar. Gıda içerisindeki sayıları değişmez ancak gıda ile iletilebilirler. Uygun işlemlerle gıdalarda etkisiz hale getirilebilirler. Hastalık etmeni bazı virüsler et, süt ve enfekte olmuş hayvanlardan gelen ürünler arasında bulunabilirler. Virüslere bağlı gastroenteritlerin sıklığının özellikle gelişmiş ülkeler başta olmak üzere giderek arttığı gözlenmektedir. Viral gastroenterit etkenlerinden Rotavirüs ve Enterik Adenovirüsler, çocuklarda akut gastroenteritlerin en sık görülen etkenleridir. Gıdalardaki virüsleri saptama yöntemleri yeteri kadar tatmin edici değildir ve gıda tedarikinin rutin olarak izlenmesinde tespiti çok zordur

Background: In previous studies, the relationship between career choice and psychological factors has been discussed many times. On the other hand, we have less information about interaction between early maladaptive schemas and career choice. Subjects and methods: We planned to evaluate the specialty preferences of doctors in the perspective of schema theory. Doctors from the 2 to 10 years of their careers were included in the study. A Sociodemographic data form and Young Schema Questionnaire - Short Form 3 was applied to 275 participants; 167 clinical specialties and 108 surgical specialties. Results: According to our results surgeons scored higher in emotional deprivation, mistrust / abuse, social isolation / alienation, defectiveness / shame, and emotional inhibition. As schema domains, surgeons scored higher disconnection and rejection and excessive responsibility and standards. Conclusions: Early maladaptive schemas can affect the choice of profession and the ability to adapt. Understanding early maladaptive schemas can play a role both in orientation towards the right career choice and in resolving negative factors related to the work environment

Seismic stratigraphy of the north-western Sea of Marmara shelf along the North Anatolian Fault system

The Ganos Fault, a part of the Northern strand of the North Anatolian Fault system, is an active- strike slip fault and divides the narrow NW shelf of the Sea of Marmara into two parts near the town of Gaziköy. This paper presents recently collected shallow high-resolution seismic data to discriminate the sedimentary successions, each characterized by distinctive stratigraphic patterns on both sides of the Ganos Fault. Two main units, namely U1 and U2, and three para-sequences (U1a, U1b and U1c) were identified, depending on their internal reflection patterns, accommodation depths as well as the presence of conformity and the unconformity surfaces. The thickness of Unit U1 reaches its maximum at the northern side of the Ganos Fault; it is much thinner to the south. The para-sequences of U1b and U1c have “progradation” and “aggradation to progradation” depositional characters, respectively. This probably implies fluvial deposition controlled by sea- level fluctuations. Unit U1b can only be observed at the northern side of the Ganos Fault, while Unit U1c at the southern side. Units U1a and U1b were deposited during the transgressive system tract, while Unit U1c was deposited during a sea-level fall and/or a lowstand phase marked by an erosional surface. The marine terraces in the study area are shallower than those along the northern shelf of the Sea of Marmara, possibly due to successive tectonic displacements along the Ganos Fault, which also controls the distribution and thickness of the parasequences identified in this study

Forecasting of Turkey inflation with hybrid of feed forward and recurrent artifical neural networks

Enflasyon öngörülerinin elde edilmesi önemli bir ekonomik problemdir. Öngörülerin doğru bir şekilde elde edilmesi daha doğru kararlara neden olacaktır. Enflasyon öngörüsü için literatürde çeşitli zaman serileri teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Son yıllarda zaman serisi öngörü probleminde esnek modelleme yeteneği nedeniyle, Yapay Sinir Ağları (YSA) tercih edilmektedir. Yapay sinir ağları doğrusal veya eğrisel belirli bir model kalıbı, durağanlık ve normal dağılım gibi ön koşullara ihtiyaç duymadığından herhangi bir zaman serisine kolaylıkla uygulanabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada Tüketici Fiyat Endeksi (TUFE) için ileri ve geri beslemeli yapay sinir ağları yaklaşımı kullanılarak öngörüler elde edilmiştir. Çözümlemede kullanılan YSA modellerinin öngörülerinin girdi olarak kullanıldığı, YSA’ya dayalı yeni bir melez yaklaşım önerilmiştir.Obtaining the inflation prediction is an important problem. Having this prediction accurately will lead to more accurate decisions. Various time series techniques have been used in the literature for inflation prediction. Recently, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is being preferred in the time series prediction problem due to its flexible modeling capacity. Artificial neural network can be applied easily to any time series since it does not require prior conditions such as a linear or curved specific model pattern, stationary and normal distribution. In this study, the predictions have been obtained using the feed forward and recurrent artificial neural network for the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Do Avanafil and Zaprinast Change Some Selected Cytokine Levels In Ovariectomized Rat’s Liver?

Studies reported that phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE-5Is) positively contributed to bone-mineral-density and thickness in rats with ovariectomy, which have the same condition with postmenapozal period. To explain the positive contribution mechanism on bone mineral density of PDE-5Is, we investigated the effect of zaprinast and avanafil on levels of some pro -or anti-resorptive cytokines in ovariectomized-rats. Albino female rats (8 months and 250-350 g) were used and four groups of equal-number were randomly assigned (n=6). Groups; was the sahm operated, positive control (OVX), Zaprinast and OVX, Avanafil and OVX groups, respectively. The levels of Estrogen, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10 and TNF-α were measured by ELISA kits, in liver of rats. IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α levels were high in groups with OVX compared to sham group, while IL-10 levels were low. Also, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-α levels were low in zaprinast and especially avanafil-treated groups with OVX and were similar to the sahm group values (p=0.001 for IL-1β, p=0.045 for IL-6, p=0.008 for IL-8, p=0.006 for IL-10, p=0.026 for TNF-α). Zaprinast and especially avanafil inhibited IL-1β, 8 and TNF-α and increased the IL-10 levels compared to the OVX group. This may support opinion that PDE-5Is enhance bone mineralization by inhibiting proresorptive cytokines
