This study included a qualitative evaluative research evaluation model CIPP (Context, Input,  Process, Product) developed by Daniel L Stufflebeam. Data Collection techniques used interviews, Observation and documentation.the result showed In aspect context program, regrouping is needed by school in an effort to imrove the quality of education. In aspect of input program, the planning of regrouping human resources, funds, facilities and the mechanism for implementing the regrouping program is fulfilled and running well. In aspect process, regrouping program of school, not fully implemented according to the objectives of the program. especially in the management of abandoned school buildings, there is a waste of buildings, the school and the Education Office need to be wise and creative in terms of the utilization of the school buildings that are left behind, so that the objectives regrouping of school rcan be fully implemented properly. And aspect product, the implementation regrouping program of the school is fully implemented well, has improved the quality of education in schools, increased student achievement, increased number of students, the use of education funds is more efficient and infrastructure is more effective in terms of use.   &nbsp

Transfer of Swahili ‘until’ in contact with East African languages

    Get PDF
Swahili has transformed the noun mpaka ‘boundary, border’ into a function word ‘until’, which has successfully spread to many other East African languages with locative and temporal readings. The grammaticalisation originated in a N-N construction without an associative ‘of’ interpreted as limiting the action adverbially. The main function is in the time interpretation of ‘until’. I provide an overview of this transfer in East Africa by looking at a large number of languages and argue that parallel independent grammaticalisation is not what is at stake but rather transfer of the function word and the preposition-like function.Descriptive and Comparative Linguistic

La dimensione religiosa: problemi di metodo

    Get PDF

We study software "black box" testing for programs designed with the B method. We provide semantics for such programs, observational semantics based on execution traces. Keywords: software testing, B method, formal specifications, test oracle, program correctness.

    Get PDF

The Clause Structure of the Shimaore Dialect of Comorian (Bantu)

276 p.Thesis (Ph.D.)--University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2009.In my dissertation, I argue that lexical subjects in Shimaore are actually in topic position, and that subject and object markers are markers of agreement, rather than being pronominal in nature. I argue for the relational nature of this agreement, not relying on an agreement phrase in the clause structure of the language, and using an approach to agreement similar to that of Henderson (2006). In addressing the order of functional projections in Shimaore, I draw on work by Cinque (1999) and Julien (2002), among others. In addition to the affixation that is the focus of these two authors, Shimaore also has two functional projections that are represented by vowel harmony between the vowel in the verb stem and the "final vowel". I demonstrate that when this vowel harmony is blocked, it is because the verb is no longer in a local relation with the head of the projection in question (namely, a retrospective aspect phrase and a habitual phrase), due to the raising of the verb and formation of a complex head that distances the verb from the head involving vowel harmony.U of I OnlyRestricted to the U of I community idenfinitely during batch ingest of legacy ETD

    No full text
Based on the case of Peng Chau, a small 1 km² island with 5,700 inhabitants in the Hong Kong archipelago, this article examines how the island’s inhabitants and environment are engaged in a contingent relationship, characterized by fragile yet resilient bonds. To explore this, an original field study (participant observation, interviews, and mapping) was carried out on three characteristic "goods" of the island: local T-shirts, outdoor chairs, and papayas. The analysis, supported by a theoretical framework on different types of goods in economics, highlights both the importance of the population’s characteristics (in terms of ethnic lines, sectors of activity, and age profiles) and the particular relevance of the local scale (that of the island)—while acknowledging that larger or individual scales may also play a role—in understanding certain ways of fostering commonality. This contemporary fieldwork is consistently contextualized within the island’s longer history. The article, co-authored, reflects the exchanges between the academic world and local community actors in the field. It draws freely from several disciplines: geography, anthropology, demography, urban planning, and economics
