Savor & Share
As an avid cook, I take pleasure in experimenting with new dishes and exploring diverse flavor combinations. However, I currently lack an organizational system for my recipes, as most of them remain unwritten. Unfortunately, when friends and family ask me to share my recipes, I often confuse them and make it difficult for them to follow the steps correctly with my verbal explanations. To address this issue, I have decided to compile my recipes into a cookbook that will serve as an organized and easy-to-reference collection. This will enable me to easily alter and share my recipes with others. The completed project includes a cover design, a color palette, various typefaces, and two recipe page designs which will serve as a foundation for future recipes as I continue to augment the book

An adolescent girl with signs and symptoms of anaphylaxis and negative immunologic workup: a case report.
BackgroundThe increasing incidence of allergies and allergic reactions among children and adults has become a major public health concern. The etiology of allergic reactions can often be confirmed based on a detailed history and supportive testing. However, there are cases where the underlying factors are more complex and difficult to identify.Case presentationHere we present the case report of a 14-year-old Caucasian girl with weight loss and a 3-year history of reported angioedema culminating in five intensive care unit admissions over the course of 2.5 months. Her initial clinical presentation included hypotension, dyspnea, and reported facial edema, but allergy and immunological workup were negative. A psychiatric workup identified an eating disorder with food restriction, comorbid major depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and posttraumatic stress disorder. A close collaboration between Adolescent Medicine, Allergy and Immunology, and Psychiatry helped disentangle medical from psychiatric problems, including fluoxetine medication effects, as well as develop a treatment plan that was acceptable to the family. The angioedema was ultimately diagnosed as factitious disorder.ConclusionsThis patient's treatment highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach, a multifactorial etiology that needed to be addressed by multiple specialists, and the importance of long-term treatment and support
Predicting Binge Eating and Body Dissatisfaction in a Naturalistic Environment Among Women Who Binge Eat From an Attachment Theory Perspective
Introduction: The current study examined naturalistic and momentary relationships among binge eating, body dissatisfaction, negative affect, depressive symptoms, social self-esteem, emotion dysregulation, and attachment anxiety and avoidance. Method: Participants were 55 undergraduate women who owned a mobile phone and who had binge eaten at least once during the past 28 days. All participants were screened to confirm the presence of binge eating and then completed measures of attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance. Participants then received seven text messages per day for 14 days. These text messages contained links to measures of state negative affect, state depressive symptoms, state social self-esteem, state emotion dysregulation, recent binge eating, and state body dissatisfaction. Results: Depressive symptoms and low social self-esteem predicted subsequent binge eating. Negative affect, depressive symptoms, and low social self-esteem predicted subsequent body dissatisfaction. Attachment anxiety moderated the relationship between negative affect and subsequent body dissatisfaction such that greater negative affect was associated with greater body dissatisfaction for those lower in attachment anxiety, but not for those higher in attachment anxiety. Findings revealed several significant pathways wherein different aspects of emotion dysregulation mediated interactions between attachment anxiety and negative affect and/or social self-esteem, on binge eating and/or body dissatisfaction. Discussion: Momentary psychological states predict subsequent binge eating and heightened body dissatisfaction, and the strength of these relationships depends on womens levels of attachment anxiety. Interventions for binge eating and body dissatisfaction should address attachment insecurity and emotion dysregulation, as well as eating disorder symptoms, in order to maximize therapeutic benefit
