    Quasi-Newton FDE in One-Bit Pseudo-Randomly Quantized Massive MIMO-OFDM Systems

This letter offers a new frequency domain equalization (FDE) scheme that can work with a pseudo-random quantization (PRQ) scheme utilizing non-zero threshold quantization in one-bit uplink multi-user massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems to mitigate quantization distortion and support high-order modulation schemes. The equalizer is based on Newton's method (NM) and applicable for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmission under frequency-selective fading by exploiting the properties of massive MIMO. We develop a low-complexity FDE scheme to obtain a quasi-Newton method. The proposed detector outperforms the benchmark detector with comparable complexity

Error Rate Analysis of GF(q) Network Coded Detect-and-Forward Wireless Relay Networks Using Equivalent Relay Channel Models

This paper investigates simple means of analyzing the error rate performance of a general q-ary Galois Field network coded detect-and-forward cooperative relay network with known relay error statistics at the destination. Equivalent relay channels are used in obtaining an approximate error rate of the relay network, from which the diversity order is found. Error rate analyses using equivalent relay channel models are shown to be closely matched with simulation results. Using the equivalent relay channels, low complexity receivers are developed whose performances are close to that of the optimal maximum likelihood receiver.Comment: 28 pages, 10 figures. A rare cause of acute abdomen: radiotherapy-induced bladder rupture

Introduction: Spontaneous intraperitoneal rupture of the bladder, which is rare, is a life-threatening condition. In emergency services, when patients present with lower quadrant abdominal pain and acute renal failure in the patient's laboratory findings consistent with curriculum vitae should be suspected if there is a history of radiotherapy. A cystography is the most accurate and precise method to make a diagnosis. The definitive solution is surgery, which depends on the condition of the patient.Case Report: A 52-years-old female patient with diffuse abdominal pain applied to our emergency department with complaints of high fever and hematuria. The fact that operated from cervical cancer medical history and undergone radiotherapy was learned. A physical examination of the abdomen and midline defects detected a urine-like liquid coming from the defect. Cystography was also performed because of being macroscopic hematuria to patient, and bladder rupture was detected. Conclusion: The aim of this phenomenon in our presentation. If patients who present to the emergency department with acute renal failure and peritonitis with a medical history of radiotherapy have a history of pelvic radiotherapy in the curriculum vitae with acute renal failure and peritonitis emergency signs, spontaneous rupture of the bladder is to emphasize that occur years after radiation therapy should be considered

Pricing Decisions in Educational Institutions: An Activity based Approach

AbstractThe number of private high schools is significantly growing due to recent increase in the demand for private schools. Therefore, it has been crucial for the administration of private schools to be able to gain competitive advantage and to make strategic decisions including pricing decisions. Private schools have to determine appropriate annual fees in an intensely competitive environment in order to attract new students or not to lose current students. Many factors such as customer demand, attitudes of competing educational institutions, public image of the school, political environment, legal regulations, country's economic conditions and other factors are effective in pricing decisions. An educational institution determines the education fee using either market based or cost based approaches. In this study we will focus on cost-plus pricing approach. A private school may determine the fee by adding a sufficient profit margin on the cost of resources consumed to provide educational services in cost plus pricing approach. Therefore in this approach accurately calculating the cost of services is significantly important. Activity based costing (ABC) method is a new approach in allocating indirect costs to cost objects and determining the unit costs by producing the most accurate data needed by the administrators and as an alternative to traditional costing methods. In this study we will implement the activity based costing method in a private school and determine the annual fees using activity based approach. In the study, we provide application of strategic pricing decisions in an example of a Turkish private high school

Instructional design taking roots from globalization toward institutionalization

Generally most of the instructional design (ID) models describe the process for the design and development of instruction as graphical representations of the teaching process. Even though there are many types of ID models, only a few distinctions exist among them. Most of the designers attempted to implement new models onto earlier versions, and, therefore, a vast number of ID models bear a resemblance to each other. Since new learning and emerging instructional theories, technologies, and better comprehension of the human mind are exposed, the improvement of ID models toward better ones becomes crucial. Hence, new instructional design models come into sight due to these constant changes. It is necessary to expand appropriate instructional design models to unravel the troubles of teaching, learning and/or training system
