    A Pricing-Based Cooperative Spectrum Sharing Stackelberg Game

    We consider the problem of cooperative spectrum sharing among a primary user (PU) and multiple secondary users (SUs) under quality of service (QoS) constraints. The SUs network is controlled by the PU through a relay which gets a revenue for amplifying and forwarding the SUs signals to their respective destinations. The relay charges each SU a different price depending on its received signal-to-interference and-noise ratio (SINR). The relay can control the SUs network and maximize any desired PU utility function. The PU utility function represents its rate, which is affected by the SUs access, and its gained revenue to allow the access of the SUs. The SU network can be formulated as a game in which each SU wants to maximize its utility function; the problem is formulated as a Stackelberg game. Finally, the problem of maximizing the primary utility function is solved through three different approaches, namely, the optimal, the heuristic and the suboptimal algorithms.Comment: 7 pages.     Service level agreement framework for differentiated survivability in GMPLS-based IP-over-optical networks

    In the next generation optical internet, GMPLS based IP-over-optical networks, ISPs will be required to support a wide variety of applications each having their own requirements. These requirements are contracted by means of the SLA. This paper describes a recovery framework that may be included in the SLA contract between ISP and customers in order to provide the required level of survivability. A key concern with such a recovery framework is how to present the different survivability alternatives including recovery techniques, failure scenario and layered integration into a transparent manner for customers. In this paper, two issues are investigated. First, the performance of the recovery framework when applying a proposed mapping procedure as an admission control mechanism in the edge router considering a smart-edge simple-core GMPLS-based IP/WDM network is considered. The second issue pertains to the performance of a pre-allocated restoration and its ability to provide protected connections under different failure scenarios

    O(αs)O(\alpha_s) Corrections to BXse+eB \to X_s e^+ e^- Decay in the 2HDM

    O(αs)O(\alpha_s) QCD corrections to the inclusive BXse+eB \to X_s e^+ e^- decay are investigated within the two - Higgs doublet extension of the standard model (2HDM). The analysis is performed in the so - called off-resonance region; the dependence of the obtained results on the choice of the renormalization scale is examined in details. It is shown that O(αs)O(\alpha_s) corrections can suppress the BXse+eB \to X_s e^+ e^- decay width up to 1.5÷31.5 \div 3 times (depending on the choice of the dilepton invariant mass ss and the low - energy scale μ\mu). As a result, in the experimentally allowed range of the parameters space, the relations between the BXse+eB \to X_s e^+ e^- branching ratio and the new physics parameters are strongly affected. It is found also that though the renormalization scale dependence of the BXse+eB \to X_s e^+ e^- branching is significantly reduced, higher order effects in the perturbation theory can still be nonnegligible.Comment: 16 pages, latex, including 6 figures and 3 table

    OPTIMIZATION OF THE CROPPING PATTERN IN CENTRAL YASIN DISTRICT GHIZER, GILGIT-BALTISTAN

    In this research study Linear Programming (LP) Model is applied to determine the maximum profit from the three major crops (wheat, maize and alfalfa) in Central Yasin District Ghizer, where agriculture is the main source of income, however, due to population growth the agricultural land is used to construct buildings, which has minimized the land for agricultural use. In such a challenging condition a method to suggest the cultivation of a maximum profitable crop is the need of time. Therefore, LP model is an appropriate method to decide the profitable crop and to maximize the profit. The study was conducted employing quantitative method of research, with the purpose to compare the maximum profit per annum from the major crops, and to determine the beneficial crop among the three major crops in Central Yasin. All the farmers of the study area who grow the crops were the target population of the study and samples from the target population were selected using random sampling technique. Data was collected by conducting survey in the study area, where self-made questionnaires were distributed among the samples individually and responses were noted on the spot. The raw data is organized and analyzed using Microsoft Excel for LP model formulation. The result showed that the average land used for the cultivation of wheat, maize and alfalfa in the study area is 0.924 acres, 0.664 acres and 0.75 acres respectively. Furthermore, results of the LP model showed that alfalfa is the optimal solution rather than wheat and maize, and it (alfalfa) gives an average annual net profit of Rs.195634.488

    Supersymmetric Effects on Isospin Symmetry Breaking and Direct CP Violation in BργB \to \rho \gamma

    We argue that one can search for physics beyond the standard model through measurements of the isospin-violating quantity Δ0Γ(Bργ)/2Γ(B0ρ0γ)1\Delta^{-0} \equiv \Gamma(B^- \to \rho^- \gamma)/2\Gamma(B^0 \to \rho^0 \gamma)-1, its charge conjugate Δ+0\Delta^{+0}, and direct CP violation in the partial decay rates of B±ρ±γB^\pm \to \rho^\pm \gamma. We illustrate this by working out theoretical profiles of the charge-conjugate averaged ratio Δ12(Δ+0+Δ0)\Delta \equiv {1 \over 2}(\Delta^{+0} +\Delta^{-0}) and the CP asymmetry ACP(B±ρ±γ)A_{CP}(B^\pm \to \rho^\pm \gamma) in the standard model and in some variants of the minimal supersymmetric standard model. We find that chargino contributions in the large tanβ\tan \beta region may modify the magnitudes and flip the signs of Δ\Delta and ACP(B±ρ±γ)A_{CP}(B^\pm \to \rho^\pm \gamma) compared to their standard-model values, providing an unmistakeable signature of supersymmetry.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures (requires graphicx

    Preparation and Characterization of New Mixed Azo Ligand Complexes with Some Metal Ions and in Vitro Biological Activity and Molecular Docking Study of their Ni(II) and Hg(II) Complexes

    New mixed azo imidazole ligand complexes of Ni(II), Cu(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) were prepared using (E)-2-((4- chloro phenyl)diazenyl)-4,5-bis(4-methoxy phenyl)-1H-imidazole (CPDMI) as a primary ligand and (E)-2-((4- bromo phenyl)diazenyl)- 4,5-bis(4-methoxy phenyl)-1H-imidazole (BPDMI) as a secondary ligand, the general formula for all ions was [M(L1L2Cl2)]. H2O. The prepared metal ion complexes were characterized by FT-IR, UV‒Vis spectrophotometric, 1H-NMR, mass spectral analysis, molar conductivity, and magnetic moment techniques. Based on the obtained data, the suggested molecular structure of all the metal complexes is octahedral geometry. The biological activity of the free ligands and their Ni(II) and Hg(II) complexes has also been studied. The molecular docking study was employed to predict and optimize the antibacterial outcomes, and a satisfactory concurrence between experimental and theoretical results was observed
