    Identification of Immunohistological Changes in the Thymus Gland of Male and Female Rats with Endocrine Glands Disorder

    Endocrine disorders is the result of a hormone imbalance, a condition characterized by a gland producing too much or too little of a hormone. This imbalance can be caused by:Issues with the endocrines feedback system−its main job is to keep hormones in the body perfectly balanced but it can malfunction and cause an imbalance a genetic disorder or infection or disease or injury to an an endocrine gland.The study amied to know the changes that occur in the thymus gland as a result of endocrine disorders in order to explain and analyze them accurately,as well as an immunological comparison between males and females.Twenty−four male and female rats Rattus norvegicus were divided into three groups of eight rats each : The first group (G1) received normal saline for 21 dayꓼ The second group male(G2), rats were given 6 mg / kg metoclopramide by intraperitoneal injection for hyperprolactinemia induction for 21 daysꓼ The third group femals (G3)was given metoclopramide 6 mg / kg intraperitoneally to induce hyperprolactinemic rats.After the end of experimental [21 days ], Measure prolactin hormone, and the thymus gland  was removed, processed and examine for histomorphological changes. The result of the study revealed that is a significant (p<0.05) in prolactin and( WBC) in the two hyperprolactinemia group when compared with the control group.And when compared a group of hyperprolactinemia the males and agroup hyperprolactin females.Note a significant difference(increase)in the male group compared to the female group.And the resuit of the study showed asignificant decrease(p<0.05) in weight and size the thymus gland in hyperprolactinemia male and female group compared with the control group.The histologicale study in male and female laboratory rats of the two hyperprolactinemia group also showed clear histological changes compared to the negative control group,reprsented the cortex area increased compared with the medulla area ,where the cortex−to−medulla ratio was about 3:1 .The limited numbers of epithelial cells were observed in the medulla area where the increase in lymphocyte numbers was significantly observed.Also, Hassall‘s corpuscles were not observed in the medulla.AS note the limited deposition or almost absence of collagen fibre in the medulla area.The study concluded endocrine disruption has a significant and noticeable effect on the size and weight of the thymus gland on the one hand and a histological effect on the other hand

    Kota Makassar, sebagai pintu gerbang kawasan Indonesia Timur, perlu menyediakan segala sarana dan prasarana kota, termasuk jalan akses menuju ke pusat kota. Salah satu jalan alternatif yang akan dibangun di Makassar adalah Jl. Abd. Dg. Sirua, yang dapat menghubungkan pusat kota dengan daerah di bagian selatan. Dalam membangun jalan alternatif tersebut perlu diindentifikasi pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja sistem lalu lintas. Studi ini bertujuan memprakirakan dampak pembangunanan jalan alternatif terhadap kinerja sistem lalu lintas. Pengambilan data meliputi data primer, yang diperoleh melalui survey lapangan, dan data sekunder, yang diperoleh melalui survey institusional. Analisis dilakukan dengan membandingkan karakteristik lalu lintas sebelum dan sesuadah jalan alternatid beroperasi. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa terjadi Perubahan karakteristik lalu lintas setelah jalan alternatif beroperasi., yaitu derajat kejenuhan berubah dari 0,67 menjadi 0,33, tingkat pelayanan dari C menjadi A, dan kecepatan lalu lintas dari 29 km/jam menjadi 48 km/jam.     Does digital transformation matter for operational risk exposure?

    Basel Committee recommends banks maintain a capital buffer for operational risk exposure based on business volumes, assuming aggressive actions for quicker business growth could increase risk exposures. We argue that technological innovations expose banks to more operational risk because technology helps increase business volume, but system failure, problems with internal processes, and disruptions from external and internal security threats are inherent to technology. Based on 10 years of data for 264 banks from 43 countries, we find that digitalized banking operation is an underlying driver of operational risk that comes with increased business volume. Banks proactively take more operational risks by increasing cyber spending to tackle FinTech competition in the digitalized economy. Digitalization could generally matter for operational risk exposure, but the natural experiment does not find cybersecurity threats per se could increase operational risks even though cybersecurity appears to be a serious threat to digital banking. The study creates new avenues for future research

    Regulation of FcεRI Signaling in Mast Cells by G Protein-Coupled Receptor Kinase 2 and its RH Domain

    Agonist-induced phosphorylation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) by GPCR kinases (GRKs) promotes their desensitization and internalization. Here, we sought to determine the role of GRK2 on FcεRI signaling and mediator release in mast cells. The strategies utilized included lentiviral shRNA-mediated GRK2 knockdown, GRK2 gene deletion (GRK2flox/flox/cre recombinase) and overexpression of GRK2 and its regulator of G protein signaling homology (RH) domain (GRK2-RH). We found that silencing GRK2 expression caused ∼50% decrease in antigen-induced Ca2+ mobilization and degranulation but resulted in ablation of cytokine (IL-6 and IL-13) generation. The effect of GRK2 on cytokine generation does not require its catalytic activity but is mediated via the phosphorylation of p38 and Akt. Overexpression of GRK2 or its RH domain (GRK2-RH) enhanced antigen-induced mast cell degranulation and cytokine generation without affecting the expression levels of any of the FcεRI subunits (α, β, and γ). GRK2 or GRK2-RH had no effect on antigen-induced phosphorylation of FcεRIγ or Src but enhanced tyrosine phosphorylation of Syk. These data demonstrate that GRK2 modulates FcεRI signaling in mast cells via at leasttwomechanisms.     Complete gluon bremsstrahlung corrections to the process b -> s l+ l-

    In a recent paper, we presented the calculation of the order (alpha_s) virtual corrections to b->s l+ l- and of those bremsstrahlung terms which are needed to cancel the infrared divergences. In the present paper we work out the remaining order(alpha_s) bremsstrahlung corrections to b->s l+ l- which do not suffer from infrared and collinear singularities. These new contributions turn out to be small numerically. In addition, we also investigate the impact of the definition of the charm quark mass on the numerical results.Comment: 20 pages including 11 postscript figure

    Matrix Gravity and Massive Colored Gravitons

    We formulate a theory of gravity with a matrix-valued complex vierbein based on the SL(2N,C)xSL(2N,C) gauge symmetry. The theory is metric independent, and before symmetry breaking all fields are massless. The symmetry is broken spontaneously and all gravitons corresponding to the broken generators acquire masses. If the symmetry is broken to SL(2,C) then the spectrum would correspond to one massless graviton coupled to 2N212N^2 -1 massive gravitons. A novel feature is the way the fields corresponding to non-compact generators acquire kinetic energies with correct signs. Equally surprising is the way Yang-Mills gauge fields acquire their correct kinetic energies through the coupling to the non-dynamical antisymmetric components of the vierbeins.Comment: One reference adde

    Fractal capacitors

    A linear capacitor structure using fractal geometries is described. This capacitor exploits both lateral and vertical electric fields to increase the capacitance per unit area. Compared to standard parallel-plate capacitors, the parasitic bottom-plate capacitance is reduced. Unlike conventional metal-to-metal capacitors, the capacitance density increases with technology scaling. A classic fractal structure is implemented with 0.6-μm metal spacing, and a factor of 2.3 increase in the capacitance per unit area is observed. It is shown that capacitance boost factors in excess of ten may be possible as technology continues to scale.     يهدف البحث الى معرفة تأثير البلازما الباردة على البكتيريا المزروعة على راشي السمسم في جسيماته الطبيعية وحجم جسيمات النانو. بدءًا من استخدام عملية تجزئة الصور اعتمادًا على طريقة العتبة، يتم استخدامها للتخلص من انعكاس الشرائح الزجاجية التي توضع عليها عينات السمسم. تم تنفيذ عملية التصنيف لفصل راشي السمسم الطبيعي عن غير الطبيعي. الراشي غير الطبيعي يظهرعندما نمت البكتيريا على راشي السمسم بعد تركه  لمدة يومين في الهواء، ان عملية التصنيف الموجه  معدل k-  استخدمت  لتصنيف المنطقة المصابة والمنطقة الطبيعية والمنطقة المعالجة. والبكتريا المعالجة بالبلازما الباردة، مدة التعرض دقيقتان. تم حساب الميزات التركيبية المتعلقة بمصفوفة التدرج اللوني ذات المستوى الرمادي للنسيج الطبيعي وغير الطبيعي والمعالج، ومن الواضح أن مجموعة  النسيج المعالج لها أفضل الميزات مقارنة باالمجاميع  الأخرى. أظهرت النتيجة أن راشي السمسم المعالج بالبلازما له نتائج جيدة مقارنة مع راشي السمسم النانوي  المعالج بالبلازما. وذلك لأن البلازما تزود راشي السمسم بالحرارة وتجعل جزيئات السمسم النانوية تتجمع معًا.The aim of the research is to investigate the effect of cold plasma on the bacteria grown on texture of sesame paste in its normal particle and nano particle size. Starting by using the image segmentation process depending on the threshold method, it is used to get rid of the reflection of the glass slides on which the sesame samples are placed.  The classification process implemented to separate the sesame paste texture from normal and abnormal texture. The abnormal texture appears when the bacteria has been grown on the sesame paste after being left for two days in the air, unsupervised k-mean classification process used to classify the infected region, the normal region and the treated region. The bacteria treated with cold plasma, the time exposure is two minutes. The textural features related to gray level co-occurrence matrix are calculated for the normal, abnormal and the treated texture, it is obvious that the treated texture class has the best features compared with the other classes. The result shows the sesame paste treated with plasma has good result compared with nano sesame paste treated with plasma.  This is because the plasma provides the sesame paste with heat and makes the sesame nano particle congregate together
