    Pemuteran Village is one of the villages in Gerokgak sub-district of Buleleng Regency which has big potential of aquaculture to be developed especially from milkfish enlargement activity in pond. The purpose of this research is to know the water quality condition of milkfish pond and to know the suitability of pond water quality in an effort to increase the profit of fish farming business (Chanos chanos Forskal) in Pemuteran Village. The research method used is purposive sampling. Data analysis used is scoring in the assessment of the suitability level of aquatic quality for fish breeding. Then the water assessment using matching method to compare the physics and chemistry of the waters of a location with the desired conformity criteria for milkfish cultivation.The result of the research shows that the condition of water quality of milkfish pond farming in Pemuteran Village is in optimal condition and included in the appropriate assessment (S1) based on the assessment of the suitability of water quality for the milkfish cultivation business.Desa Pemuteran merupakan salah satu Desa di Kecamatan Gerokgak kabupaten Buleleng yang memiliki potensi perikanan budidaya yang besar untuk dikembangkan terutama dari kegiatan pembesaran ikan Bandeng di tambak. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kondisi kualitas air tambak bandeng dan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian kualitas air tambak dalam upaya untuk meningkatkan keuntungan usaha budidaya Ikan Bandeng (Chanos chano,Forskal) di Desa Pemuteran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling.Analisis data yang digunakan adalah scoring dalam penilaian tingkat kesesuaian kualitas perairan untuk budidaya ikan bandeng.Kemudian penilaian perairan mengunakan metode matching untuk memperbandingkan karakteristik fisika dan kimia perairan suatu lokasi dengan kriteria kesesuaian yang diinginkan untuk budidaya ikan bandeng. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kondisi kualitas air tambak budidaya bandeng Desa Pemuteran berada dalam kondisi optimal dan termasuk dalam penilaian sangat sesuai (S1) berdasarkan penilaian kesesuaian kualitas perairan untuk usaha budidaya bandeng

    Gastropod community structure in traditional irrigation system (Subak) Sembung, North Denpasar

    Rice fields are one of the artificial wetland ecosystems. The Subak Sembung area is one of the rice fields as well as an ecotourism area in Denpasar City. The existence of gastropods is quite a lot found in this rice field area. This study aims to determine the structure of the gastropod community in the Subak Sembung area and to determine the abiotic factors of gastropod habitat in the Subak Sembung area. Data collection was carried out from three stations in December 2021 to January 2022 using the transect method. The transect line is stretched horizontally parallel to the irrigation flow. Five quadrants measuring 1x1 m2 were placed alternately along the transect line and data on the number of individuals and species were taken from each quadrant. Overall, as many as 7 species were found, with a moderate diversity index with a value range of 1.34-1.40. The uniformity index of the three stations was found to be > 0.6, with a dominance index close to 0 or the species was evenly distributed and none was dominant. Abiotic parameters such as temperature with value around 26,7oC-27,4oC, pH 7,5-8, c organic 2,52%-3,03%, muddy substrate in all stations, nitraet 0,35mg/L-0,45mg/L, fosfate 0,35mg/L-0,39mg/L

    INFLUENCES CONCENTRATION OF CADMIUM TO COLOUR CHANGE AND MALE SEX PERCENTAGE NEONATES Daphnia magna

    Abstract Cadmium is one of dangerous heavy metal and it can cause water pollution. As an alternative early warning toward heavy metal in water, Daphnia magna can be used as biology indicator water pollution that caused by heavy metal. Daphnia magna is organism that ussualy used for bioassay in many progressing countries, because that organism have important role in freshwater ecology, short life cycle about 3 weeks and sensitive toward chemical environment. Grade of toxicity heavy metal can measured with lethal and sub lethal parameter. In Daphnia magna, sub lethal parameter that can be observe are colour changes and male sex percentage neonates. The purpose of this research was to know the colour changes and male sex percentage neonates Daphnia magna in different concentration of cadmium. Target of this research is to gets information about level colour changes and male sex percentage neonates Daphnia magna in different concentration of cadmium. The main parameter was colour changes and male sex percentage neonates and the secondary parameters were water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and NH 3 ) The result of research of giving different cadmium concentration to the adult female Daphnia magna not showing significant influence, nevertheless it is showing significant influence toward male sex percentage neonates Daphnia magna. The treatment with cadmium concentration 0,0004 mg/l produce 100% male neonates Daphnia magna. Water quality during research were in optimal conditions to support Daphnia magna life, those are temperature 26°C, pH range from 8,0 -8,2 and dissolve oxygen (DO) range from 8,5 -9,0 mg/l and ammonia 0 -0,03 mg/l

    Ikan sidat (Anguilla sp.) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan Indonesia berskala intemasional dan merupakan komoditas ekonomi tinggi karena mempunyai kandungan protein tinggi sehingga menjadi daya tarik bagi para konsumen. Pasokan benih sidat masih tergantung pada hasil penangkapan di alam, sehingga terjadi ke­ terbatasan dalam kontinuitas. Kondisi tersebut diperparah dengan infeksi bakteri patogen, khususnya aeromonas hydrophila yang menyebabkan angka kematian tinggi pada budidaya sidat. Upaya untuk mencegah dan me­ nanggulangi serangan bakteri A. hydrophila pada kegiatan budidaya ikan sidat dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan alami yang aman dan ramah lingkungan seperti bawang putih, yang mengandung zat aktif allicin dan minyak atsiri yang dapat membunuh bakteri merugikan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan ekstrak bawang putih sebagai pengobatan infeksi bakteri aeromonas hydrophila dengan dosis yang berbeda, yaitu Perlakuan 1 sebesar 15 mg/ml, Perlakuan 2 sebesar 25 mg/ml dan Perlakuan 3 sebesar 35 mg/ml dengan cara disuntikkan pada intramuskuler. Ikan yang terinfeksi patogen akan terjadi perubahan pada darahnya, melalui pemeriksaan hematologi dapat dijadikan salah satu cara untuk membantu diagnosa penyakit dan mengetahui proses penyembuhan pada ikan secara efektif.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan hematologi ikan sidat yang terinfeksi bakteri aeromonas hydrophila, yaitu terjadi penurunan jumlah eritrosit, penurunan kadar hemoglobin, peningkatan jumlah leukosit dan peningkatan kadar hematokrit. Perubahan hematologi menunjukkan terjadin­ ya perubahan fisiologis ikan. Berdasarkan hasil uji F (Anova) membuktikan bahwa pengobatan menggunakan ekstrak bawang putih dengan dosis  15 mg/ml, 25 mg/ml dan 35 mg/ml berpengaruh secara nyata (signifikan) terhadap jumlah  leukosit, eritrosit,  kadar hemoglobin dan hematokrit ikan sidat (p<O,05). Namun perlakuan ekstrak bawang putih sebesar 15 mg/ml, 25 mg/ml, 3S mg/ml berbeda secara nyata dengan kontrol positif dan kontrol negatif dalam mempengaruhi jumlah leukosit,  jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan kadar hematokrit
