Polyphenols as Suitable control for Obesity and Diabetes
Modern life is characterized by physical inactivity and poor food choices, which is often a prerequisite for unhealthy weight gain and overweight/obesity. These factors unlock the emergence of a number of diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular problems, different types of cancer, etc. The pursuit of scientists to seek strategies to prevent, relieve and cure the patient leads to the usage of natural compounds of potential beneficial effect. Polyphenols are a large group of naturally occurring secondary metabolites mainly found in plants and beverages. The presence of these secondary metabolites seems to decrease the manifestation of miscellaneous disease-causing symptoms. The purpose of this review is to synthesize information about polyphenols and their potential in controlling obesity and diabetes. Polyphenols are considered as health-beneficial sources and thus could be involved in novel strategies for preventing diabetes and obesity complications

Lesions of Ligamentum capitis femoris as a cause of the necrotic changes in Articulatio coxae
Aim of the research There is more and more research on one rather underestimated object, which is a part of the hip joint - namely Ligamentum capitis femoris. Many doctors still believe that it plays a minor role in joint trophism, but a number of studies disprove this. The present study aims to demonstrate the lesions that occur in the hip joint when the Ligamentum capitis femoris (also known in literature as Ligamentum teres) is found damaged, with a focus on the blood vessels going alongside the ligament and supplying the head of the hip joint. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the pathological changes that occur in the hip joint due to obstruction of the arterial vessel entering the joint together with the ligament. This vascular change can be a result of many factors - traumatic, septic and aseptic.Materials and Methods To achieve our goals we set the following main tasks: to examine the structure of Ligamentum capitis femoris with an optical microscope after staining the samples with Hematoxylin Eosin and AZAN and to make a comparative complex analysis of the morphological characteristics of Ligamentum capitis femoris in humans.ResultsThe examination of ligaments from cadavers - which have pathological changes in the hip joint - clearly shows the damage of the Ligamentum capitis femoris. Conclusions From the histological examination we conducted, we found that Ligamentum capitis femoris has a biological, mechanical and trophic role in the hip joint and its preservation is important in preventing future complications

Representatives of the Prunus genera, found in almost every country and continent, have been recognized not only for their delicious fruits and nuts, but also because of their beneficial properties. To date, numerous cultivars have been phytochemically studied, leading to the identification of various compounds including terpenes, tannins, flavonoids, phenolic acids, carotenoids, fatty acids, and so on. Pharmacological studies on Prunus species have also revealed a variety of bioactive potentials including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, hypolipidemic, antidiabetic, brain protecting, and other evidence based uses. This review covers articles, retrieved from scientific databases, using βPrunusβ as search term (βall fieldsβ) and with a specific time frame set for search. Information about Prunus amygdalus, Prunus armeniaca, Prunus cerasifera, Prunus persica, Prunus domestica, Prunus avium, and Prunus cerasus was selected and summarized giving information about their ethnopharmacological uses, isolated phytochemicals, and pharmacological activities.ΠΡΠ΅Π΄ΡΡΠ°Π²ΠΈΡΠ΅Π»ΠΈ Π½Π° ΡΠΎΠ΄ Prunus ΠΌΠΎΠ³Π°Ρ Π΄Π° Π±ΡΠ΄Π°Ρ ΠΎΡΠΊΡΠΈΡΠΈ Π² ΠΏΠΎΡΡΠΈ Π²ΡΡΠΊΠ° ΡΡΡΠ°Π½Π° ΠΈ ΠΊΠΎΠ½ΡΠΈΠ½Π΅Π½Ρ. The Problem of Juvenile Pregnancy in Bulgaria in the Context of Obstetric Care
It is an alarming fact that in Bulgaria in recent years, in the context of declining birth rates, there has been an increase in pregnancies during adolescence. This article analyzes the state of the problem and discusses its social and medical aspect in the context of obstetric health care. Materials and Methods: Analyses of own research on this problem were used. Demographic and health parameters for the years 2010 - 2017 were analyzed. The results show that the total birth rate has decreased, reaching 9β° in 2017, and every sixth child was born by a mother under the age of 20. The causes of juvenile (adolescent) pregnancy are multifactorial and constitute an important public health problem. Discussion: The overall birth rate in Bulgaria has decreased dramatically. Bulgaria ranks first in Europe by the share of births by mothers under the age of 20. Every sixth live-born child in our country belongs to this age group. Birth and teenage birth bring many risks, both in terms of course of the pregnancy and the life and health of the mother and fetus. Conclusion: Teenage pregnancy is an important public health problem. This requires integrated actions across sectors. It is essential that the midwife and the female counselor intervene in the prevention of early pregnancy and health care of the mother and the fetus

A histological presentation of Ligamentum capitis femoris
Aim of the studyTo present the morphological structures that make up the Ligamentum capitis femoris (also found in the literature as Ligamentum teres) with a focus on the blood vessels which are located alongside it, thus supplying the head of the femur with blood. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the significance of the ligament regarding the destructive changes in the hip joint and to investigate to what extent the pathological changes are related to age, sex and overexertion. The blood supply of the caput femoris from r.acetabularis of a. obturatoria passing through the ligamentum capitis femoris is demonstrated and the connection with the development of various degenerative diseases of the hip joint such as osteoarthritis, aseptic and septic necrosis. This is a pilot study that will include groups of people of different age and gender.Materials and MethodsTo achieve our goals, we examined the structure of Ligamentum capitis femoris with an optical microscope, after staining the preparations with Hematoxylin Eosin and Azan. We performed a comparative complex analysis of the morphological characteristics and somatotopic features of the Ligamentum capitis femoris in humans. Results Ligamentum capitis femoris is composed of collagen fibers, fibrosis and adipose tissue. This is the only ligament in the human body through which passes a vessel from a.obturatoria - r. acetabularis. It contributes to about 25% of the blood supply to the femoral head. This is an essential connection between the two fragments of the joint - proximal, represented by the acetabulum and distal, represented by the caput femoris.ConclusionLigamentum capitis femoris has a biological, mechanical and trophic role in the hip joint and should not be considered a rudimentary structure that loses its function with age (4). The principle of minimal ligament damage in all invasive procedures should be followed, as well as the gentle treatment in exercise of strength sports
Selection and Characterization of L-Ethionine Resistant Mutants of Trichosporon cutaneum
Trichosporon cutaneum R57 and its l-ethionine resistant mutant NZ94 strain were investigated. The amino acid analyses of cell content of both strains were carried out. The pool of free methionine in the mutant strain is enhanced 16.5 times. The total amount of sulphurcontaining amino acids in the mutant cells was significantly increased from 36.8 in the wild strain to 113.4 mg/g protein in the mutant strain. In the process of mutant strain cultivation there was found a high excretion of free methionine (259 Β΅g/ml) in the medium. It was shown that the amino acid content of both wild and mutant strains would be helpful for formulating of new improved animal nutritional diets
