    Champs d'intérêt : infiltrer, habiter, spéculer [ III ]

    No full text
"Champs d'intérêt : infiltrer, habiter, spéculer [III] presents the processes at work within different infiltrating art practices, as seen by authors Julie Bovin and Julie Bélisle. Julie Bovin systematically examines the projects realized by 3e impérial since 1997. "She imagines an extensive, complex map, marked by the quest for specificities of human and territorial identity; her meticulous endeavour of decoding and observation traces out the temporal reach of artistic action and of its rootedness in the territory". Julie Bélisle, on the other hand, situates an approach to the praxis of the artist's residency where "a moment of extreme receptivity in which the inhabited world is seen anew" is brought to the fore. She explores the understructure of this practice through a critical survey of infiltrating art works by Guy Blackburn, Ève Cadieux, Éric Cardinal, Josée Dubeau and Alain Fleurent." -- p. Terrains d'entente 2003-2004

"Terrains d'entente is a residency and public art program based on the presence and explorations of artists who produced a series of dynamic interventions into the everyday life of community. Terrains d'entente situates us at the centre of a divergence, yet to be defined. This program elicited interest in a cause, a need or even something obvious to be defended for all the artists. It tacitly suggested they find common ground to create discussion and exchange." -- p.[4] of cover
