UUM Research Topic Guide
Currently, e-learning can be considered as one of the most popular learning environments. This study seeks to design and develop an e-learning system which is called Research Topic Guide System (RTG) at University Utara Malaysia (UUM).
Research topic can be as critical issue for student during starting their research. Therefore, lecturers or experts will be able to provide student by suggestion research
topic to be as a pointer to start their research. Furthermore, UUM as a research-oriented university does not have in the existing e-learning system any platform that
can be considered as research guide to meet students' needs. The existing e-learning system is generally deficient in constructing an open research environment; although it is more important to a research-oriented university. Hence, development research environment which it can be used as guide for student might help them to satisfy the suitable topic that is consistent with their interests. Mixed methodology and integrated general research methodology within research methodology are used to achieve the objectives of this study. The implementation is carried out with Java script and Mysql in order to develop the functions of RTG system. The result of usability testing shows that 65% of the participants found the system usable

Evaluating Mobile Telecom Apps: An Integrated Fuzzy MCDM Model Using Marketing Mix
App-based marketing has been widely used in the telecommunications industry to both serve and draw in new customers. Typically, telecom providers must invest an amount of company resources to develop and maintain the operations mechanism of information technology platforms (e.g., mobile apps); therefore, it is important to take the issue of marketing effectiveness into account. For example, the mismatch between what telecom providers offer in their mobile apps and customers’ marketing requirements plays a significant role in determining unmet knowledge and presentation gaps that are related to the marketing domain. This research intends to propose an integrated Fuzzy MCDM model based on 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) and 4Cs (Customer Needs, Cost, Convenience, Communication) models for evaluating mobile telecom applications (MTAs). Therefore, the 4Ps and 4Cs models are extended to develop a hierarchy model for evaluating MTAs. Next, fuzzy theory is applied to handle the subjectiveness of qualitative evaluation criteria while the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to synthesize the weight and score of the evaluation criteria. The proposed model is applied to evaluate, rank, and analyze the MTA of three telecom providers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) (e.g., STC, Zain, and Mobily). The conducted case study ensures the usability and applicability of the proposed model. The evaluation results offer several managerial actions for achieving ideal app-based marketing
Application of Exercise-Correlated Knowledge Proficiency Tracing Model based on Multiple Learning Objectives in English Teaching Curriculum Resources
The advanced invention of information technology overcomes the limitations of traditional teaching methods. The English-oriented online teaching system not only has rich course resources, but also provides technical support for students’ personalized learning. Therefore, using big data mining techniques may help to analyze students deeply and develop personalized study plans and content. Aiming at the deficiencies of online English teaching platform in the task of knowledge level diagnosis, an Exercise-correlated Knowledge Proficiency Tracing (EKPT) model that integrates multi-objective learning factors is proposed. The learning model maps students and practice information into meaningful knowledge space through practice and knowledge-related information, and quantifies students’ knowledge learning process through forgetting curve theory and learning curve theory. The experimental test results show that the EKPT model has the best performance in knowledge ability prediction and learning performance prediction. The mean absolute error (MAE) values of the EKPT model in the English1 dataset, English2 dataset, written auxiliary dataset and adaptive dataset are 0.32, 0.25, 0.39 and 0.34, respectively, with the smallest error. Therefore, the proposed EKPT model meets the requirements of English online learning. The research content has important reference value for the construction of online English teaching platform
