    Sentiment Analysis for e-Payment Service Providers Using Evolutionary eXtreme Gradient Boosting

    Online services depend primarily on customer feedback and communications. When this kind of input is lacking, the overall approach of the service provider can shift in unintended ways. These services rely on feedback to maintain consumer satisfaction. Online social networks are a rich source of consumer data related to services and products. Well developed methods like sentiment analysis can offer insightful analyses and aid service providers in predicting outcomes based on their reviews—which, in turn, enables decision-makers to develop effective strategic plans. However, gathering this data is more challenging on Arabic online social networks, due to the complexity of the Arabic language and its dialects. In this study, we propose an approach to sentiment analysis that combines a neutrality detector model with eXtreme Gradient Boosting and a genetic algorithm to effectively predict and analyze customers’ opinions of an e-Payment service through an Arabic social network. The proposed approach yields excellent results compared to other approaches.     Persistent Hiccups After Cervical Epidural Steroid Injection.

    BACKGROUND Hiccup is a rare complication after a cervical epidural steroid injection used in the treatment of chronic pain. A few studies have reported on the physiological and pharmacological aspects of hiccups after epidural steroid injection and there have been some case reports published. Our presented case report provides insight into the side effect of hiccups that can occur in association with cervical epidural analgesia, and will help inform anesthesiologist about this unpleasant complication. CASE REPORT We present a rare case of persistent hiccups after a cervical epidural steroid injection in a 60-year-old male patient with chronic pain due to disc protrusion in C3-C7. CONCLUSIONS Persistent hiccups after epidural injection is a serious complication. As the exact mechanism of hiccups is not yet known, regardless the level of epidural or the mixture of drugs used, and the incident of hiccups after epidural injection is not well-reported, we think that the etiology and the incident rate must be further evaluated

    The Impact of Social Media on Unethical Behaviors from the Perspective of the Ninth and Tenth Grade Students in Jordan

    The present study aimed to explore the impact of social media on unethical behaviors from the perspective of ninth and tenth grade students in Jordan. The researchers adopted descriptive and quantitative approaches. They used a questionnaire to identify the social media platform used the most by ninth and tenth grade students in Amman and Balqa, Jordan. Through using the questionnaire, they aimed to explore the impact of social media on unethical behaviors in family and society.It was found that YouTube is the social media platform used the most by ninth and tenth grade students in Jordan.  Electronic games- e.g. Pubg, Fortnite, Sims and etc..- are ranked second in this regard. Facebook is ranked third. Instagram is ranked third too. Snapchat is ranked fourth and Twitter is ranked fifth. Twitter is ranked last.It was found that social media significantly affects family and society. It was found that social media has been playing a significant role in promoting unfamiliar values in society. Social media has been promoting the use of bad words among young people.  In terms of family, it was found that the prevalence of social media led to reducing the extent of interaction between family members. It was found that social media led to reducing the degree to which children interact with their family member. It was found that social media negatively affects family relationships.It was found that there are statistically significant differences –at the statistical significance level of (a=0.05)- between the respondents’ attitudes which can be attributed to city and family income. The latter difference are for the favor of the respondents living in the city and the respondents whose family income is high.The researchers recommend holding lectures for students and parents to promote awareness about the advantages and disadvantages of using social media. Such lectures must include information about the way of using social media and organizing one’s time to use it.     A review of pediatric femoral fracture patterns, surgical managements, and outcomes

    Background: Femoral fractures are the most common pediatric orthopedic fractures that require hospitalization. The non-accidental injury should be suspected in early infancy and non-ambulatory children. Treatment of pediatric femoral fractures is widely variable and depends on intrinsic and extrinsic factors. This study presents pediatric femoral fracture epidemiology and outcomes and reviews the literature regarding best practices in pediatric femoral fractures.Methods: This retrospective study reviewed the clinical and radiological records of forty-sevens femur fractures in the pediatric age group from September 2020 until June 2021 in Prince Rashid bin AL Hassan Military Hospital in Jordan.Results: Males form 80.9% of patients. The mean age for the patients was equal to 6.70 years (±3.91). Falling is responsible for the majority of the injury. The middle femur shaft was fractured in 46.8%, and the pathological fracture was found in 17% of patients. Non-operative treatment by cast represents 42.6%. All fractures were healed at 7.90 weeks (±2.37).Conclusions: Pediatric femur fracture lacks standardized treatment. Nevertheless, most fractures healed with satisfactory results. Younger age groups are more likely to be treated non-operatively. Non-surgical treatment is more prone to shortening, angulation, and later return to weight-bearing and activity. Children older than eight years treated by plating demonstrated faster healing, return to full weight-bearing, and lower complication rate. 

    Pharmacokinetic profile and partitioning in red blood cells of romifidine after single intravenous administration in the horse

    The aims of this study were to assess the plasma concentrations of romifidine in horses after intravenous injection, to evaluate the red blood cell (RBC) partitioning of the anaesthetic drug, and to improve knowledge regarding its sedative effect in horses describing the pharmacokinetic model. Eight adult Standardbred horses received a single bolus of romifidine at a dosage of 100\ua0\u3bcg/kg. Blood samples (5\ua0mL) were collected immediately before romifidine administration (t0), and at 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, 90, 105, 120, 150 and 180\ua0min after injection. A sedation score was recorded at the same time. The romifidine concentrations in plasma and red blood cells were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The plasma and red blood cell concentrations were correlated with the sedation at each time point. Romifidine produced a satisfactory level of sedation in all animals. The sedation was detectable in all horses for up to 105\ua0min. All the animals returned to normal without any behavioural changes at 180\ua0min. The romifidine concentrations in the red blood cells were significantly higher (P\ua0<\ua00.01) at all time points than those in the plasma. The T1/2\u3b2 was 148.67\ua0\ub1\ua061.59\ua0min and body clearance was 22.55\ua0\ub1\ua06.67\ua0mL/kg per min. The results showed that after a single bolus administration of romifidine, a partitioning in the RBCs was detected

    Treatment of psychological morbidity secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia: a comparative study

    Background: Authors tend to compare the medical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia with the surgical option regarding lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and related psychological morbidity.Methods: A retrospective study of (1614) patients who were managed by either transurethral resection of prostate (TURP) or medical treatment for lower urinary tract symptoms secondary to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) over a period of 5 years between (Sep. 2013 and Sep. 2018) carried out in Prince Hussein Urology Center at Jordanian Royal Medical Services. Patients were classified into two groups, group1 (807 patients) who get a medical option and group 2 (807 patients who underwent TURPs. A comparison between both groups according to the effect of minimizing the psychological morbidities was done over a period of 1-year follow-up after reviewing the patient’s medical records.Results: Ages of the patients for group1 and 2 were (47-68 years), (49-73 years), respectively. There were significant differences at the level of depression, anxiety and psychiatric morbidity pre-treatment between both groups p-value 0.05, but significant differences in the level of improvement after treatment between both groups and in group 2 were found, p-value <0.05.Conclusions: The severity of LUTS and psychological morbidity have a positive relationship and were higher in the pretreatment surgical group, but the effect of TURP was superior to the medical group in the management of this morbidity and its causative (LUTS)

    GC/MS and LC-MS/MS phytochemical evaluation of the essential oil and selected secondary metabolites of Ajuga orientalis from Jordan and its antioxidant activity

    The current investigation aimed to shed light in the volatile and non-volatile secondary metabolites of Ajuga orientalis L. from Jordan. GC/MS and GC/FID analysis of the hydrodistilled essential oil obtained from aerial parts of the plant revealed tiglic acid (18.90 %) as main constituent. Each of the methanol and butanol fractions of A. orientalis were screened for their total phenol content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and antioxidant activity determined by DDPH and ABTS methods. The extracts were then analyzed by LC-ESI-MS/MS to unveil their chemical constituents, especially phenols and flavonoids. Results showed that the AO-B extract had the highest TPC (217.63 ± 2.65 mg gallic acid/g dry extract), TFC (944.41 ± 4.77 mg quercetin /g dry extract), highest DPPH and ABTS antioxidant activity ((4.00 ± 0.20) × 10-2; (3.00 ± 0.20) × 10-2 mg/mL, respectively) as compared to the AO-M extract. LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis of both extracts revealed the presence of several phenolics, flavonoids and nonphenolic acids

    Ballota saxatilis from Jordan: Evaluation of Essential Oil Composition and Phytochemical Profiling of Crude Extracts and Their In-Vitro Antioxidant Activity

    The chemical composition of essential oil extracted from the aerial parts of Ballota saxatilis Sieber ex C.Presl from Jordan has been elucidated by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Additionally, aqueous methanol (BsA), Butanol (BsB) and water (BsW) extracts were screened for their total phenol content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC), and antioxidant activities using the 2,2 Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2-Azino-bis (3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulphonic acid) diammonium salt (ABTS) methods. The most potent extracts were screened for their phenolic acids and flavonoid content using liquid the chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technique. The results indicated that the essential oil predominantly contained cis-pinane (14.76%), ÎČ-caryophyllene (8.91%) and allo-aromadendrene epoxide (6.39%). Among the different extracts investigated, the BsB fraction had the most TPC and TFC (455.79 ± 1.03 ”g gallic acid/g dry extract; 272.62 ± 8.28 ”g quercetin/g dry extract, respectively) and had the best radical and radical cation scavenging activities, as determined using the DPPH and ABTS methods. Quantitative and qualitative LC-MS analyses of BsA and BsB using LC-MS revealed each of the kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside (30.29%), chrysoeriol-7-glucoside (7.93%) and luteolin 7-o-glucoside (7.76%) as the main constituents of the BsA fraction. The BsB fraction was rich in 7,4â€Č-dimethoxy-3-hydroxyflavone (34.68%), kaempferol-3,7,4â€Č-trimethyl ether (29.17%) and corymbosin (9.66%) and lower concentration levels of kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside (1.63%) and chrysoeriol-7-glucoside (0.51%)

    Protective Intestinal Effects of Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase Activating Polypeptide

    Pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) is an endogenous neuropeptide widely distributed throughout the body, including the gastrointestinal tract. Several effects have been described in human and animal intestines. Among others, PACAP infl uences secretion of intestinal glands, blood fl ow, and smooth muscle contraction. PACAP is a well-known cytoprotective peptide with strong anti-apoptotic, anti-infl ammatory, and antioxidant effects. The present review gives an overview of the intestinal protective actions of this neuropeptide. Exogenous PACAP treatment was protective in a rat model of small bowel autotransplantation. Radioimmunoassay (RIA) analysis of the intestinal tissue showed that endogenous PACAP levels gradually decreased with longer-lasting ischemic periods, prevented by PACAP addition. PACAP counteracted deleterious effects of ischemia on oxidative stress markers and cytokines. Another series of experiments investigated the role of endogenous PACAP in intestines in PACAP knockout (KO) mice. Warm ischemia–reperfusion injury and cold preservation models showed that the lack of PACAP caused a higher vulnerability against ischemic periods. Changes were more severe in PACAP KO mice at all examined time points. This fi nding was supported by increased levels of oxidative stress markers and decreased expression of antioxidant molecules. PACAP was proven to be protective not only in ischemic but also in infl ammatory bowel diseases. A recent study showed that PACAP treatment prolonged survival of Toxoplasma gondii infected mice suffering from acute ileitis and was able to reduce the ileal expression of proinfl ammatory cytokines. We completed the present review with recent clinical results obtained in patients suffering from infl ammatory bowel diseases. It was found that PACAP levels were altered depending on the activity, type of the disease, and antibiotic therapy, suggesting its probable role in infl ammatory events of the intestine
