This study aims to determine the amount of erosion in oil palm plantations in various slopes and determine the extent of erosion in oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in oil palm plantations PT. Chemical Tirta Utama, conducted over four months from December 2015 to March 2106. The study was conducted by two methods, namely the methods of measurement and prediction of erosion. Measurements of erosion are conducted by placing small plots in the area gawangan dead plant oil palm on land slope of 9%, 19% and 31%. Estimation of erosion performed using USLE method. The results showed that the amount of soil erosion in oil palm plantations using small plots highest on the slope of 9%, amounting to 5.38 tonnes / ha, whereas the lowest on slopes of 31% amounting to 2.83 tonnes / ha. For the method of soil erosion USLE highest on the slope 31% ie 431.98 tons / ha, whereas the lowest on the slope of 9% is 386.55 tons / ha. The degree of erosion in oil palm plantations by estimating method USLE at an inclination of 9%, 19% and 31%, respectively, are 11.64, 12.53 and 14.04 which are all included in the very high category. The level of erosion in oil palm plantations with small terraced plots measuring method at an inclination of 9%, 19% and 31%, respectively 0.16, 0.12 and 0.09 which are all included in the low category

Research on effects of some dose of palm oil mill effluentand media on the growth of oil palm Seedlings( Elaeisguineensis Jacq .) fase main nursery, plantation experiment have been conducted in garden experiment of the Agriculture Faculty, Riau University was startedon march until june 2015. with the aim to get the dose of palm oil mill effluent and media works best for seedlings growth palm oil. A field experiment was conducted by using split plot design, in which three levels of media ie; Ultisol ,Histosol , and mixure, were assigned to main plot and four levels of palm oil mill effluentie; control , 0.8 l , 1.6 l , and 2.4 l. The Parameters observed were plant height, leavesnumber, the increase in diameter stump, root volume, root crown ratio, dry seedling weight.Based on research results that palm oil mill effluent 2.4 l in a media mixure show results in best than other treatment to increase plant height, diameter stump, root crown ratioon palm oil in main nursery

Percutaneous mitral valve plasty in secondary mitral regurgitation: pathophysiological insights and implications for technical success

The thesis focuses on gaining new understanding about functional mitral regurgitation and evaluating the impact of percutaneous transcatheter mitral valve therapies. Chapter 1 provides an overview of the transcatheter mitral repair technologies and the key points in patient selection and procedural guidance. Chapter 2 uses 3D transesophageal echocardiography to evaluate leaflet remodeling in functional mitral regurgitation and finds significant remodeling and decreased coaptation area in patients with worse functional mitral regurgitation. Chapter 3 evaluates changes in mitral valve geometry in the presence of significant aortic regurgitation and finds that severe mitral regurgitation can arise when adaptive mechanisms of the mitral valve fail. Chapter 4 evaluates the relationship between global and regional myocardial function and the recurrence of functional mitral regurgitation in patients with ischemic mitral regurgitation who underwent surgery. Chapter 5 investigates the eligibility for transcatheter mitral valve therapy in high surgical risk patients with mitral regurgitation recurrence after initial surgery. Chapter six evaluates the effects of the transatheter-based mitral valve edge-to-edge repair technique using the MitraClip device on mitral valve geometry in patients with functional mitral regurgitation. Transesophageal echocardiography is crucial for guiding implantation and assessing acute procedural success. The findings show that the technique directly affects mitral valve geometry by increasing the coaptation length and area of the mitral leaflets, leading to a larger contribution of the anterior mitral leaflet to coaptation.LUMC / Geneeskund

The objective of the research is to seek the influence of the type of compound fertilizer which can be used for different types of soil on palm oil seedling in the pre- nursery. This research was conducted in the experimental field and Laboratory of Production Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in Campus Binawidya Km 12.5 Simpang BaruPekanbaru. The research was lasted 4 month from March 2016 until Juny 2016. Completely Rendomized Design (CRD) was used in this research, with two factors. first factor is three types of compound fertilizer and the second factor is planting medium that consists three level. Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, leaf area. Data obtained from the research results were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance followed by a further test of Duncan\u27s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. Based on factor analysis of variance that soil type sigmificantly affected plant height, number of leaves, core diameter, and leaf area of oil palm seedlings. Whereas factor and the interaction type of compound fertilizer and growing media influence the amount is not significantly affected plant height, number of leaves, core diameter, and leaf area of oil palm seedlings age of four months in Pre-nursery. This research aimed to determine species of macrofauna and calculate population density of soil macrofauna understands of rubber plant in pet land in different ages. The research was conducted on 1 hectare area of peat land. It is divided in to two parts with ½ hectare 4 years rubber plant and ½ hectare 6 years rubber plant. The method that used is a survey method. Data was collected by purposive sampling. 9 plants samples were taken to each ages, and it get 18 plant samples. Soil sampling and soil macrofauna carried out in area 50 x 50 cm with depth 15 cm. The samples were taken around the plant samples (1 meter from the base of plant) and between plants (at rows). The method to collect of soil macrofauna by hand sortir method. Rubber plantations aged 6 years and 4 years have the same kind that are braid (Geophilomorpha), ants (Hymenoptera) and ground beetles (Coleoptera). Rubber plantations aged 6 years found 381 soil macrofauna more than rubber plantations aged 4 years found 289 soil macrofauna

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of Neem and the application of Nitrogen to nitrogen leaching and sweet corn growth on peat soil. This research has been conducted in gauze house of Technical Implementation Unit (TIU) experimental station and analysis of leachate water has been conducted in Laboratory of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The research was held from October 2014 until January 2015. This research is factorial experiment and prepared in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) that consisted of 2 factors, which are nitrogen (N) application which is without nitrogen and with nitrogen 3,75g/column, and the second factor is Neem (M), which is without neem, 0,37g/column, 0,56g/column, 0,75g/column. The data that were obtained from research results were analyze statistically by analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result of ANOVA further were tested using Duncan's multiple range test 5% significant level. The results of this research show that the application of neem until 0,75g/column dosage is not effective in decreasing nitrogen leaching on peat soil. The application of nitrogen on peat soil increases ammonium on leachate water on fourth week, but not on second and sixth week, while, on nitrat of leachate is significantly different compare to without application of nitrogen. The application of neem until 0,75g/column dosage and nitrogen 3,75g/column does not increase the growth of plant
