Properties of hadron and quark matter studied with a molecular dynamics
We study the hadron-quark phase transition in a molecular dynamics (MD) of
quark degrees of freedom. The hadron state at low density and temperature, and
the deconfined quark state at high density and temperature are observed in our
model. We investigate the equations of state and draw the phase-diagram at wide
baryon density and temperature range. We also discuss the transport property,
e.g. viscosity, of matter. It is found that the ratio of the shear
viscosity to the entropy density is less than one for quark matter.Comment: Poster presentation at Quark Matter 200
The runway markings is an essential element for aerodromes operations. It provides the information and guidance in approach of an aircraft for landing, and also in takeoff run. The goal of this study is to develop and apply a new system to automate the procedure to make runway markings projects. A survey was conducted about the Brazilian technical specifications, which were the basis for the development a computational tool. An application of this tool was made with some existing aerodromes data and a subsequent comparison of the generated projects on Google Earth's satellite images. The result of the application allowed the check if the Brazilian airports follow the technical standard. This tool show a great potential for application in runway markings projects, making the develop automatically
Collimation Effect of Water Collimator to D-D and D-T Neutrons
A study of a water collimator is performed for 5-cm and 10-cm diam. cylindrical collimators located in a 100-cm water shield. A point neutron source of D-D or D-T reactions is located at the entrance to the collimator. Results of the Monte Carlo simulation are analyzed as reference data. Two parameters are proposed to measure the collimation effects, i.e. scattered neutron flux on the axis of the collimator and the width of the plateau observed in the scattered flux profile. The flux on the axis is analyzed by a single-albedo-scattering model, while the width of the plateau is represented by a single-scattering model in the shied. The flux on the axis is nearly proportional to the collimator radius. The axial profile of the on-axis flux is closely approximated with an imaginary source assumed at the center of the collimator. The imaginary source reproduces the width of the plateau in the radial profile of the scattered flux

Molecular dynamics simulation for baryon-quark phase transition at finite temperature and density
We study the baryon-quark phase transition in a molecular dynamics (MD) of
quark degrees of freedom at finite temperature and density. The baryon state at
low density and temperature, and the deconfined quark state at high density and
temperature are reproduced. We investigate the equations of state of matters
with different -- compositions. Then we draw phase diagrams in the
temperature-density plane by this simulation. It is found that the baryon-quark
transition is sensitive to the quark width.Comment: submitted to EPJ
