ABSTRACT: Public opinion polls would have less value in a democracy if the public - the very people whose views are represented by the polls didn’t have confidence in the results. This confidence does not come easily. The process of polling is often mysterious, particularly to those who don’t see how the views of 1,000 people can represent those of hundreds of millions.RESUMEN: Los sondeos de opinión pública podrían tener mayor confiabilidad y validez para el ciudadano común si se les explicasen acertadamente el porqué mil personas entrevistadas pueden representar la opinión de miles de ellos

Debate electoral a través de los sondeos electorales

ABSTRACT: This article reflects more than on the different research strategies of electoral behavior, in some dimensions of analysis of the phenomena of electoral behavior and the impact of public opinion on the conduct of elections. It exemplifies the analysis of this size with data from the last election polls. These dimensions are related to different analytical controversy about political manipulation that make the candidates on the war situation in the country, the impact of advertising and debates about the nature of rational choice and the nature of public opinion.RESUMEN: En este artículo se reflexiona más que sobre las distintas estrategias de investigación del comportamiento electoral, en algunas dimensiones del análisis de los fenómenos del comportamiento electoral y, el impacto de la opinión pública en ese comportamiento electoral. Se ejemplifica el análisis de estas dimensiones con datos de los últimos sondeos electorales. Estas dimensiones analíticas están relacionadas con distintas polémicas acerca del manejo político que hacen los candidatos de la coyuntura bélica que vive el país, el impacto de la publicidad y los debates en torno a la naturaleza de la elección racional y la naturaleza de la opinión pública

Técnicas de medición por medio de escalas

ABSTRACT: The attitude scales are technical of measurement of the amount of a property, call attitude towards something, owned by a set of persons.” In operative terms, in the applied research in Social Sciences, one generally accepts that an attitude is a relatively lasting organization of beliefs around an object or a situation, which predispose to react preferably of a certain way” (Milton Rokeach). The attitudes logically are constructos hypothetical (they are inferred but not objectively observable), are manifestations of the conscious experience, information of the verbal conduct, the daily conduct, etc.RESUMEN: Las escalas de actitud son técnicas de medida de la cantidad de una propiedad, llamada actitud hacia algo, poseída por un conjunto de personas. En términos operativos, en la investigación aplicada en Ciencias Sociales, generalmente se acepta que una actitud es una organización relativamente duradera de creencias en torno a un objeto o una situación, las cuales predisponen a reaccionar preferentemente de una manera determinada" (Milton Rokeach). Las actitudes lógicamente son constructos hipotéticos (son inferidos pero no objetivamente observables), son manifestaciones de la experiencia consciente, informes de la conducta verbal, de la conducta diaria, etc..

ABSTRACT: The sexuality in the young people of marginal sectors. The problem is the sexuality of the adolescents in a poverty world and inequidad. This study must like general mission describe to the crude sexual products of the misery and the myths that they poison to marginal youth. It is an attempt to portray those adolescents who know sex in the school the underworld which they hide cords of extreme poverty of the Medellín of today. The mentioned results correspond to concrete realities product of an opinion poll in some marginal districts of the city of Medellín.RESUMEN: La sexualidad en los jovenes de sectores marginales. El problema es la sexualidad de los adolescentes en un mundo de pobreza e inequidad. Este estudio tiene como objetivo general describir los crudos productos sexuales de la miseria y los mitos que envenenan a la juventud marginal. Es un intento de retratar a aquellos adolescentes que conocen el sexo en la escuela del submundo que esconden los cordones de extrema pobreza del Medellín de hoy. Reflexiones a partir del terremoto de febrero de 2010 en Chile

ABSTRACT: The Chilean’s political elite has worried to say one and thousand times that “the institutions work and have responded before the earthquake”, but nobody indicates the quality nor the competitions of those institutions. Without doubts, the recent earthquake that shook the country showed the fact that in Chile although organisms exist public were not able nor to prepare opportune answers to the catastrophe, nor to respond of effective way after to take place one like which we finished being present at 27 of February to the 03:34 am an earthquake of measured degree 8.8 in the scale of Richter took place, in the South center of the country. At the same time a series of errors and irresponsibility’s on the part of the organisms that demonstrated that the country still is a cat with desire of being jaguar. Only six minutes later the epicenter was known (to about 90 kilometers to the northwest of the city of Conception, that is to say in the Pacific Ocean), nevertheless the Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service of the Navy of Chile (SHOA), organism that had to position the technical instruments to evaluate if there is or not a tidal wave, not only did not work, but also that did not give warning nor followed the protocol existing. The other organism of State, denominates ONEMI, the National Office of Emergencies, at any moment indicated that there was no tidal wave. Today, by voices of the survivors, we know that to the 3:52 the first wave takes place, of a total of three. The last wave takes place to the 06:32 hrs. Around one hour later the undersecretary of the Interior discarded the possibility of tsunami.RESUMEN: El epilogo que deja el terremoto del 27 de febrero de 2010 es el de un estado inoperante, errático e ineficiente. Por ejemplo, el terremoto dejó al descubierto el rostro de una educación para una vida totalmente mercantilizada. 2 La sociedad chilena está fracturada, no respondió como en ocasiones anteriores y más dramáticas con solidaridad social sino con pillaje, no de “lumpen o delincuentes” barriales” como se quiso decir sino que las mismas clases medias se dedicaron al saqueo y pillaje, no de productos de la canasta familiar sino a robar electrodomésticos y artículos suntuarios de las grandes tiendas y supermercados.
