Noise in Genotype Selection Model
We study the steady state properties of a genotype selection model in
presence of correlated Gaussian white noise. The effect of the noise on the
genotype selection model is discussed. It is found that correlated noise can
break the balance of gene selection and induce the phase transition which can
makes us select one type gene haploid from a gene group.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figure
Ethyl 2-isopropylamino-5-methyl-4-oxo-3-phenyl-3,4-dihydrothieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylate
The title compound, C19H21N3O3S, was synthesized via an aza-Wittig reaction of a functionalized iminophosphorane with phenyl isocyanate under mild conditions. In the molecule, the fused thienopyrimidine ring system makes a dihedral angle of 66.30 (11)° with the phenyl ring. An intramolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bond occurs. The terminal –OCH2CH3 group is disordered over two sites with refined occupancies of 0.537 (13) and 0.463 (13). The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds
Current Reversals in a inhomogeneous system with asymmetric unbiased fluctuations
We present a study of transport of a Brownian particle moving in periodic
symmetric potential in the presence of asymmetric unbiased fluctuations. The
particle is considered to move in a medium with periodic space dependent
friction. By tuning the parameters of the system, the direction of current
exhibit reversals, both as a function of temperature as well as the amplitude
of rocking force. We found that the mutual interplay between the opposite
driving factors is the necessary term for current reversals.Comment: 9 pages, 7 figure
Cavernous Transformation of the Portal Vein Might Increase the Risk of Liver Abscess
Cavernous transformation of the portal vein (CTPV) is not quite common in adults, and cases with CTPV and acute liver abscess are lacking. We report a patient with CTPV inducing extrahepatic and intrahepatic obstruction, finally leading to acute liver abscess due to bile duct infection. We aim to find out the possible relationship between CTPV and acute liver abscess. A 45-year-old female patient was admitted to our hospital for recurrent upper abdominal pain and distension for one year, aggravated with fever for three years. A diagnosis of CTPV and liver abscess was made by 16-slice computed tomography. Effective antibiotics and drainage were used for this patients, and she was eventually cured. When treating patients with CTPV, extrahepatic and intrahepatic obstruction, one should be aware of the presence of acute liver abscess, and empirical antibiotics might be valuable
Diagnosis and microecological characteristics of aerobic vaginitis in outpatients based on preformed enzymes
AbstractObjectiveAerobic vaginitis (AV) is a recently proposed term for genital tract infection in women. The diagnosis of AV is mainly based on descriptive diagnostic criteria proposed by Donders and co-workers. The objective of this study is to report AV prevalence in southwest China using an objective assay kit based on preformed enzymes and also to determine its characteristics.Materials and methodsA total of 1948 outpatients were enrolled and tested by a commercial diagnostic kit to investigate the AV prevalence and characteristics in southwestern China. The study mainly examined the vaginal ecosystem, age distribution, Lactobacillus amount, and changes in pH. Differences within groups were analyzed by Wilcoxon two-sample test.ResultsThe AV detection rate is 15.40%. The AV patients were usually seen in the sexually active age group of 20–30 years, followed by those in the age group of 30–40 years. The vaginal ecosystems of all the patients studied were absolutely abnormal, and diagnosed to have a combined infection [aerobic vaginitis (AV) + bacterial vaginitis (BV) 61.33%; 184/300]. Aerobic bacteria, especially Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, were predominantly found in the vaginal samples of these women.ConclusionAV is a common type of genital infection in southwestern China and is characterized by sexually active age and combined infection predominated by the AV and BV type
Efficiency optimization in a correlation ratchet with asymmetric unbiased fluctuations
The efficiency of a Brownian particle moving in periodic potential in the
presence of asymmetric unbiased fluctuations is investigated. We found that
there is a regime where the efficiency can be a peaked function of temperature,
which proves that thermal fluctuations facilitate the efficiency of energy
transformation, contradicting the earlier findings (H. kamegawa et al. Phys.
Rev. Lett. 80 (1998) 5251). It is also found that the mutual interplay between
asymmetry of fluctuation and asymmetry of the potential may induce optimized
efficiency at finite temperature. The ratchet is not most efficiency when it

Intermolecular C—H⋯F, O—H⋯O and C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds stabilize the crystal structure
