Directions to Explore the Principles of Service Innovation: With Various Companies’ Case Study

    Get PDF
Service innovation is a new or significantly improved concept that is taken into practice based on new customer interaction channel, a distribution system or a technological concept or a combination of them. Here authors provide nine principles of service innovation and various case studies. The principles are designed by keeping the view of their applicability to all variety of businesses seeking to be successful in the turbulent times facing different industries. Collectively, these principles are the key major factors about making a break with the way innovation has been done in the past and developing compelling products, services and value propositions for existing and new customers supported by a range of business models

Citation analysis of the state owned commercial banks research field based on Histcite

    Get PDF
Multiple of empirical researchers have found that State-owned commercial banks in various countries have positive effect on the economic growth and financial stability. This paper studies the research literature related to the state owned banks using an online subscription based scientific citation indexing. Wed of Science database is explored for the core data collection for the state-owned banks research literatures and its historical context, using bibliometric analysis software "Histcite" to converts bibliographic collections into generate sequences, transforming the non-numerical data into a graphic format, pointing out the important achievements and development trend of the related fields of state-owned banks

Platform Enterprise Business Model: Their Essence and Particularity

    Get PDF
Purpose: The purpose of this is present research to explore the essence and particularity of platform enterprise business model. Design/Methodology/Approach: Grounded theory are used to abstract the elements of platform by two step coding, and then social network relation analysis are used for the core modules and their relation of platform enterprise business model. Findings: The present study abstracted four core modules and constructed the platform model structure, and analyzed its essence and particularity. Originality/Value: In most research of business model, the value creation and capture are seen as the core of value logic, while this study found that the value delivery and creation are more important for a platform enterprise business model

Game chromatic number of Cartesian and corona product graphs

    Get PDF
    The game chromatic number χg\chi_g is investigated for Cartesian product GHG\square H and corona product GHG\circ H of two graphs GG and HH. The exact values for the game chromatic number of Cartesian product graph of S3SnS_{3}\square S_{n} is found, where SnS_n is a star graph of order n+1n+1. This extends previous results of Bartnicki et al. [1] and Sia [5] on the game chromatic number of Cartesian product graphs. Let PmP_m be the path graph on mm vertices and CnC_n be the cycle graph on nn vertices. We have determined the exact values for the game chromatic number of corona product graphs PmK1P_{m}\circ K_{1} and PmCnP_{m}\circ C_{n}

Influence of Type of Product on Brand and Cause Images in a Cause-Related Marketing Campaign: Evidence from Pakistan

Luxury brands and non-profit organizations (NPOs) are increasingly involved in cause-related marketing (CRM) programs. This research aims to explain how product’s nature (hedonic vs. utilitarian) may influence consumer’s decisions to purchase cause-related products. Prior and post attitude of brands analyze with repeated measure ANOVA. The results show that brand attitude increased both in case of ahedonic and utilitarian partnership. However, partnering with a luxury brand ismore efficient to raise theimage of thebrand ascompared to apartnership with non-luxury brands. In general, these results provide clear insights to marketing managers for planning and positioning of their CRM campaigns

Energy Transition, Sustainable Development Opportunities, and Carbon Emissions Mitigation: Is the Developed World Converging Toward SDGs-2030?

    Get PDF
The success of sustainable development heavily depends on successful energy transition toward renewable or carbon-free energy sources. This study attempted to analyze the impact of sustainable development and environmental initiatives on sustainable energy transition in selected OECD economies. For this purpose, the study generated the dataset of environment air and GHG emission, environmental-related technologies, development (gross domestic product, trade openness, and gross domestic spending on R&D) and sustainable environment (air and GHG emission and environmental-related technologies), and energy sources (renewable energy consumption, nonrenewable energy consumption, and sum of total energy consumption) of selected economies of OECD between 2000 and 2020. This study utilized dynamic panel GMM for regression analysis, and FMOLS and DOLS were applied as the robustness models. Empirical results indicated that sustainable development and a sustainable environment contribute positively to the energy transition process in OECD economies. However, these factors also negatively contribute to non-renewable energy consumption in OECD. Thus, the study’s outcomes confirmed the sustainable energy transition in OECD. Therefore, this study suggested that the success of Sustainable Development Goals depends on successful energy transition

A revaluation of carbon intensity factors through the carbon decomposition approach in a developing economy

    Get PDF
The issue of climate change and its impact on every field of life has increased manifold during the 4.0 industrial revolution. We explore the driving factors of a sector-level carbon intensity which is essential to determine the targeted emissions reduction strategy in the developing economy. To execute this purpose, the study has been integrated by joining production and index decomposition with a spatial-temporal decomposition analysis to estimate the comparative performance of a sector. We cover nine significant factors for this purpose: the economic efficiency effect, the intensity effect, the gross domestic product gap effect, the structure effect, and the energy use efficiency effect. Moreover, this study utilized an updated set of data from three economic sectors, including the agriculture, services, and industrial sectors during 2006–2019 to estimate the energy-related carbon dioxide emission. According to our results based on the above classification, the performances of all these sectors are relatively either above, average, or below level. The economic and energy usage efficiency effects have a high association with one another, and both have above-average performance; however, the GDP gap effect has a lower performance. The service sector shows mixed results, whereas the performance of the agriculture sector remained unsatisfactory in this perspective

Efficiency of domestic institutional arrangements for environmental sustainability along the way to participate in global value chains: evidence from Asia

    Get PDF
The well-functioning domestic institutions are very important for the global value chains to have its positive impact on environment. This article provides an empirical assessment of the impact of domestic institutional arrangements along the way to participate in global value chains on environmental performance index for sustainability goals for 41 Asian countries over 2001–2018 period. Most recent empirical studies assumes that causality runs to environmental measures through trade and governance but inverse relationship is also feasible and none of the previous studies have discussed about it. Using instrumental variable strategy to closing these gaps, we analyse the mechanism of direct and indirect impact of participation in global value chains on environmental performance index. Our results show that environmental performance index is negatively affected by participation in global value chains and this relationship overturns when participation in global value chains is accompanied by governance facilitation. Further, the findings suggest that governance-augmented participation in global value chains is a tool of environmental sustainability

Environmentalists are more concerned with the environment in this age of industrialization, and they are continually interested in researching factors that can facilitate the transition towards sustainability. This study applies an econometric technique called the panel Generalized Method of Moments generalized moments to analyze green finance and renewable energy’s impact on CO2 emissions from 2010 to 2019. According to the findings, green finance has a significant negative and positive impact on carbon emissions and green economic recovery. In addition, the results showed that logistics operations use energy and fossil fuel, and the findings also showed that the amount of fossil fuel and non-green energy sources creates a significant harmful effect on the environmental sustainability, in addition to having a negative impact on economic growth. Inadequate transportation-related infrastructure and logistics services are other significant contributors to CO2 and overall emissions of greenhouse gases. According to the findings, sustainable energy development can be advanced by fostering the growth of green finance. This can be accomplished by employing a variety of metrics that pertain to the three dimensions of economic development, financial development, and environmental development
