The Association Between Sanitation, Hygiene, and Stunting in Children Under Two-Years (an Analysis of Indonesia's Basic Health Research, 2013)

Background: This study aims to identify the relationship between sanitation, hygiene, and stunting in children under two-years in Indonesia. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study that examined 9,688 children under the age of two. We obtained data from Indonesia's Basic Health Research paper that was released in 2013 and applied multiple logistic regression analysis. The prevalence of stunting amongst children under two-years in 2013 was 33.3%. Results: Our analysis showed that stunting is closely related to low birth weight, age, gender, exclusive breastfeeding, socioeconomic status, garbage removal, and waste management. Appropriate sanitation and hygiene had a significant impact on stunting amongst children under two-years in Indonesia, with waste management and low birth weight being the most important indicators. Conclusions: Nutrition, socioeconomic status, and a healthy environment are key to ensure children under two-years meet the recommended growth standards

Pelaksanaan Program Jaminan Persalinan (Jampersal) di Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Buol

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of maternity insurance at district health office in Buol regency in 2012. This study was a qualitative study using case study approach. The samples in this study were the parties involved in the implementation of maternity insurance at district health office in Buol regency and at the health center. The sampling was conducted by purposive sampling technique with a sample size of 23 people.The results showed that during the phase of funding: the distribution of funds were lately paid i.e. at the end of 2012; the amount of service rates was 25% deductions for service providers; and for fund management, it was found that the process of verification of the claimed file was very difficult. During the phase of care benefits package in terms of availability of health care, providers became an obstacle in the implementation of the maternity insurance. During the phase of indicator of success in terms of supervision, there was a lack of supervision from the program manager of maternity insurance that opened some problems in the implementation of maternity insurance in Buol district. From this study it can be concluded that the phase of funding, benefits package services, and indicators of success still need attention. This study suggests the District Government of Buol to re-visit the policy decisions regarding the amount of fees that had been set for the implementation of the maternity insurance. To make maternity insurance to be implemented optimally, the midwives need to perform additional services that can be implemented well. Buols district health offices is expected to optimize the implementation of maternity insurance by improving the mechanism of disbursement of verification process and increasing the supervision by the program manager of maternity insurance. And for service providers in order to implement the procedures of maternity insurance proccess, they should take into account the condition of the community served.Keywords: Maternity Insurance (Jampersal), Public Health Service, Qualitativ

Probing the gateway to superheavy nuclei in cranked relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory

The cranked relativistic Hartree+Bogoliubov theory has been applied for a systematic study of the nuclei around 254No, the heaviest nuclei for which detailed spectroscopic data are available. The deformation, rotational response, pairing correlations, quasi-particle and other properties of these nuclei have been studied with different relativistic mean field (RMF) parametrizations. For the first time, the quasi-particle spectra of odd deformed nuclei have been calculated in a fully self-consistent way within the framework of the RMF theory. The energies of the spherical subshells, from which active deformed states of these nuclei emerge, are described with an accuracy better than 0.5 MeV for most of the subshells with the NL1 and NL3 parametrizations. However, for a few subshells the discrepancy reach 0.7-1.0 MeV. Model Pelaksanaan Mediasi Melalui Pranata Tutur Pada Masyarakat Batak Muslim Tapanuli Selatan

This article examines the contribution of local culture or costum (adat) in family conflict management among Batak Muslims in Southern Tapanuli. It is very common that marital conflicts ended up in the court. To avoid engaging court to judge a marital conflict within a family, Batak Muslim in Southern Tapanuli utilized Dalihan Na Tolu custom to resolve the problem. Batak Muslims in Southern Tapanuli often mediated the conflicting couples through a process, which is referred to as Tutur. By utilizing anthropological and socio-legal approach, the authors analyze the effectiveness in utilizing Tutur tradition among Batak Muslim family and argue that local costum such as Tutur has still played an effec- tive role in preventing divorce as well as in reconciling conflicting family mem- bers

Upaya Meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematika Melalui Model Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (Tps)

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa kelas VII E SMP N 2 Pajangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 2 Pajangan, dengan subyek penelitian kelas VII E yang berjumlah 28 siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif antara guru matematika kelas VII E SMP N 2 Pajangan dengan peneliti. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ialah observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan dan tes. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran matematika dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) pada materi sifat-sifat bangun segiempat dan keliling serta luas bangun segiempat, siswa mengalami peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematika
