    Suplementasi Kolin Klorida Dalam Ransum Untuk Meningkatkan Pertumbuhan Ayam Broiler

    Cholin (B-hydroxyethyl-trimethylammonium hydroxide) is a constituent of phospholipids, can interfere the metabolism process that affects the growth. Sometimes cholin in a diet does not meet the animal requirement because of its low availability. The objective of the research was to study the effect of cholin chloride supplementation in the diets on broiler performance. A completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 4 replications were used in the experiment on broiler chicks reared up to 6 weeks of age. The treatment diets were R1 (control), R2 (R1 + 750 mg cholin chloride/kg diet), R3 (R1+ 1,500 mg cholin chloride/kg diet), R4 (R1+ 2,250 mg cholin chloride/kg diet). All of the prestarter diets (0-2 weeks of age) contained isocaloric (3,000 kcal ME/kg) and isoprotein (24.8% crude protein). The starter-finisher diet (2-6 weeks of age) contained 3,000 kcal ME/kg and 20% crude protein. Supplementation of 750 mg cholin chloride/kg diet (R2) increased (P < 0.01) body weight gain and final body weight. Supplementation of 1,500 mg cholin chloride/kg diet (R3) and 2,250 mg cholin chloride/kg diet decreased (P < 0.01) body weight gain, final body weight, as well as feed efficiency. It was concluded that supplementation of 750 mg cholin chloride/kg diet (containing 1,956 mg cholin/kg in prestarter diet and 1,791.3 mg cholin/kg in starter-finisher diet) yielded the best performance of the broilers

    Ikan lele sangkuriang termasuk dalam kelas Pisces dari filum Chordata yang tidak mempunyai sisik, berbentuk memanjang serta licin. Probiotik berasal dari bahasa Yunani pro dan bios yang berarti “untuk kehidupan”. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kualitas air dan pengaruh penggunaan probiotik terhadap ikan lele sangkuriang antara kolam yang menggunakan probiotik dan tanpa probiotik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli 2015 di Desa Kertasura dengan Kelompok Tani Kersa Mulya Bakti dan Desa Dukuh dengan Kelompok Tani Mina Mulya Kecamatan Kapetakan Cirebon, Jawa Barat. Metode pengambilan sampel air pada setiap kolam penelitian bersifat metode stratifikasi, yaitu dengan menganggap bahwa perairan memiliki beberapa lapisan atau karakteristik berbeda yang terdiri dari 3 stasiun dengan 2 pengulangan untuk setiap stasiun. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian kualitas air meliputi uji oksigen terlarut, amoniak dan asam sulfida. Kemudian pengukuran pertumbuhan ikan lele dengan mengukur panjang dan berat ikan lele. Kolam probiotik memiliki kualitas air yang lebih baik yaitu konsentrasi awal amoniak 0,07 ppm, dengan konsentrasi akhir 0,04 ppm dan konsentrasi H2S awal 0,003 ppm, dengan konsentrasi akhir 0,002 ppm. Pada kolam tanpa probiotik memiliki konsentrasi awal amoniak 0,11 ppm, dengan konsentrasi akhir 0,08 ppm dan konsentrasi awal H2S 0,004 ppm, konsentrasi akhir 0,004 ppm. Pada kolam probiotik pertambahan panjang total ikan (L) 3,2 cm/2 minggu dan pertambahan berat total ikan (W) 16,3/2 minggu gr sedangkan pada kolam tanpa probiotik pertambahan panjang total ikan (L) 1,4 cm/2 minggu dan pertambahan berat total ikan (W) 11,6 gr/2 minggu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kualitas air kolam probiotik lebih baik dari kolam tanpa probiotik. Pengaruh penggunaan probiotik berdampak positif pada ikan lele ditinjau dari pertambahan panjang dan berat.The sangkuriang catfish belongs to class Pisces of the Chordata phylum. The fish has an elongated body without scales. The word probiotic comes from Greek words pro and bios, meaning “for life”. The objective of this study is to investigate the difference of water quality between probiotic pond and non-probiotic pond, and their effect on sangkuriang catfish. The research was conducted on July, 2015 at Kertasura Village with Tani Kersa Mulya Bakti Group and at Dukuh Village with Tani Mina Mulya Grup, Kapetakan District, Cirebon-West Java. The sampling method is the stratification method, which assumes that the waters have multiple layers or different characteristics. The samples were taken on 3 stations with 2 repetition for each station. Hereafter, the water quality analysis includes testing dissolved oxygen, ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, by catfish growth measured from it's legth and weight. Probiotic pond has a better water quality with the initial ammonia concentration of 0.07 ppm and final ammonia concentration of 0.04 ppm. This pond also has an initial H2S concentration of 0.003 ppm and final H2S concentration of 0.002 ppm. In the non-probiotic pond, the initial ammonia concentration was 0.11 ppm, with final ammonia concentration of 0.08 ppm, and the initial H2S concentration of 0.004 ppm, with final H2S concentration of 0.004 ppm. Growth measured as the total length of fish in probiotic pond (L) was 3.2 cm/2 week and the total weight of fish (W) was 16.3 gr/2 week while on the non-probiotic pond, the total length of fish (L) was 1.4 cm/2 week and the total weight of fish (W) was 11.6 gr/2 week. Thus, the implementation of probiotic has a positive effect to the growth of catfish, as can be seen from the length and weight of the catfish during this study

    Radio Republik Indonesia is the oldest radio in Indonesia and the only government-owned radio that had the vision to realize the public broadcasters Indonesia as the largest networked radio, the character development of the nation, world class. RRI has a very extensive network from Aceh to Papua, but not many people, especially young people who are interested in listening to Radio Republik Indonesia. The main reason is the image of RRI as radio news and radio for the elderly, making it less attractive to young people. One solution is to create a talk show programs Breakout and Kimchi on RRI Pro 2 Semarang and targeting young people as the target audience. So it is expected to increase the radio listeners again, especially RRI Pro 2 Semarang, which has a target audience among the young. During the implementation of this program, the author has a duty to execute the event that appropriate with run down and concept that was created by the creative director and has been approved by the producer. Promotion using social media such as twitter, instagram, Line, whatsapp is carried out before and during the event. The questionnaire result of post-production shows through the talk show programs “Breakout” and “Kimchi” our main target is to increase the listener number of PRO 2 RRI Semarang are fulfilled. "Kimchi" program is more increasing than "Breakout" program. Initially the "Kimchi" program only 8% of the initial data that we collect and then increased to 67%.     Trophic State Index (Tsi) Di Habitat Rajungan (Portunus Pelagicus Linnaeus, 1758) Pantai Betahwalang, Kabupaten Demak

    Perairan Betahwalang di desa Betahwalang, Kecamatan Bonang, Kabupaten Demak merupakan perairan habitat rajungan (Portunus pelagicus Linnaeus, 1758) dengan intensitas penangkapan sepanjang tahun. Sebagai habitat rajungan, perairan Betahwalang direncanakan menjadi kawasan lindungan laut daerah yang dikelola masyarakat sekitarnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dievaluasi status trofik perairannya dalam rangka pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan sumber daya hayatinya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui status kesuburan perairan di habitat rajungan berdasarkan metode Trophic State Index (TSI) Carlson (1977) dan Kepmen LH No. 115/ 2003 tentang Pedoman Penentuan Status Mutu Air dan Kepmen LH No. 51/2004 tentang Baku Mutu Air Laut untuk Biota Laut. TSI Carlson menggunakan 3 komponen utama, yaitu total fosfor, klorofil a, dan kecerahan air untuk menduga status trofik perairan. Metode deskriptif dengan teknik penentuan lokasi sampling bersifat purposive random digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis TSI Carlson (1977), berkisar antara 60-68, sementara skor status mutu air dari analisis Kepmen LH No.115/2003 tentang Pedoman Penentuan Status Mutu Air dan Kepmen LH No. 51/2004 tentang Baku Mutu Air Laut untuk Biota Laut adalah -20. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pantai Betahwalang berada pada status eutrofik sedang dan termasuk kategori perairan tercemar sedang untuk biota air laut. Betahwalang aquatic water in Betahwalang village, Bonang district, Demak Regency, is a blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus Linnaeus, 1758) habitat with fishing intensity throughout the year. Accordingly, trophic status of the water in Betahwalang needs to be evaluated for sustainable management of the crab. The purpose of this study is to determine the fertility status of the water in blue swimming crab habitat based on Trophic State Index (TSI) Carlson (1977) and Decree of the Minister of Environment of The Republic Indonesia (Kepmen LH) No.115/2003 regarding Guideline for the Determination of Water Quality Status and Decree of the Minister of Environment of The Republic Indonesia (Kepmen LH) No.51/2004 regarding the Standard Quality of Sea Water for Marine Biota. TSI by Carlson (1977, 2005) applying three main components, i.e. total phosphorus, chlorophyll-a, and water transparency to assess trophic status of the water. Descriptive method is used in this study, for which sampling location was determined by using purposive random. The result from the analysis of TSI Carlson (1977) is among 60-68, while the score of water quality status analysed using Decree of the Minister of Environment of The Republic Indonesia (Kepmen LH) No.115/2003 about Guideline for the Determination of Water Quality Status and Decree of the Minister of Environment of The Republic Indonesia (Kepmen LH) No.51/2004 about the Standard Quality of Sea Water for Marine Biota is -20.
