A Best evidence synthesis on the link between budgetary participation and managerial performance

By using the best evidence synthesis (Slavin, 1995), we want to find out an accurate synthesis on the budgetary participation -BP- and managerial performance-PM- link. The use of criteria of selection has allowed to decrease the heterogeneity. The results explain the presence of the heterogeneity by cultural and industrial contengencies. The best evidence synthesis based on an homogeneous subgroup (managers in publicly traded firms in Taiwan Stock Exchange) shows a time dependency of BP-MP link and some recommandations for further research: 1/to continue the study of the traded firms in Taiwan Stock Exchange to analyse the causal BP-PM link with a Granger test, 2/to study the evolution of this link over time in other countries.best evidence synthesis, subgroup analysis, managerial performance, budgetary participation, management control

RISQUE ASSOCIE A L'UTILISATION DE LA LOI DE BENFORD POUR DETECTER DES VENTES FRAUDULEUSES DE BIENS INNOVANTS A LA MODE

En principe, une non-adéquation à la loi de Benford serait synonyme de fraudes. Le présent papier montre qu'il n'est pas toujours possible de détecter des fraudes sur les volumes de ventes à l'aide de cette loi. Pour ce faire, nous utilisons les ventes de consoles, en volume, au Japon (depuis 1989), aux États-Unis, en France, en Allemagne et au Royaume-Uni (depuis 2000). Après une brève revue de littérature et une présentation de notre méthode, nous testons l'adéquation à la loi de Benford de nos 56 séries de ventes en volume via des statistiques du chi-deux, puis à une analyse des biais et de leur significativité. Malgré l'absence de fraude, il en ressort une non-adéquation à la loi de Benford de nos séries de vente de biens à la mode. Ainsi, pour des ventes de consoles, il est possible que l'utilisation de la loi de Benford ne soit pas efficace pour repérer d'éventuelles fraudes sur les volumes vendus.Loi de Benford, ventes de biens à la mode, détection de fraudes, audit, système dynamique non-linéaire

Audits and management control separability to control organization identity.

Objective. The aim of this article is to show that the audits aren't perfect substitute but additional of management control. Study design. We make out from a literature review and well-known cases some propositions and we search to give credit to our principal proposition with one exploratory case study: the internal audit insufficiency to control alone the organization. L'objectif de cet article est de proposer un cadre conceptuel expliquant le rôle des médias en tant que mécanisme de gouvernance partenarial. Leur rôle est analysé à travers une étude de cas basée sur le conflit opposant le groupe Danone à certaines de ses parties prenantes, lors de la restructuration de sa branche biscuit, en 2001. Nous montrons que la presse est un mécanisme de gouvernance d'entreprise partenarial efficient.
