Eccrine spiradenoma: A rare adnexal tumour with atypical presentation: A case report
First described in 1934, eccrine spiradenoma (ES) is a rare, benign adnexal tumour arising from eccrine sweat glands. It commonly presents as a slow-growing nodule on the upper trunk, and head and neck region, mostly in the age bracket of 15-35 years, with no gender preference. While no established guidelines exist for optimal management of malignant ES, some therapies have been studied. The diagnosis of this entity is extremely important as it can harbour a malignant component with disastrous outcomes which may be missed due to its strong resemblance to benign lesions, such as a papilloma. Here, we present the case of a 35-year-old lady who presented with a papilloma-like growth on the upper medial aspect of the thigh which was diagnosed as eccrine spiradenoma upon excision
Spectrum of Fugitive Diagnosis of Neurological Disorders in Elderly
ABSTRACT BACKGROUND Fugitive diagnosis “escape from true diagnosis” of neurological disorders is very common in elderly patients. It’s not always an underlying disease symptom or progression in old age. Aim of this study is to determine the frequency and nature of fugitive diagnosis of neurodegenerative brain disorders in old age. MATERIAL AND METHODS STUDY DESIGN A study was conducted in private Neuro-clinic in Lahore. Study duration is 3 years from to 1st January, 2017 to 31th December, 2019. It was a prospective, cross sectional study. Inclusion criteria: 1) Age \u3e60years 2) Neurodegenerative brain disorders including vascular dementia 3) with or without associated co morbidities e.g., DM, HTN, IHD. Exclusion criteria: age \u3c60, all acquired other neurological disorder RESULTS Total number of patients (n=2570) visited to Neuro-clinic with various neurological disorders.950 patients had neurodegenerative diseases. A total of 241 patients(n=241) with neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Lewy body disease vascular dementia and fronto-temporal dementia having fugitive diagnosis during their course of treatment were included in the study. Study sample consisted of 134 males and 107 female patients. The patients included in study were aged equal to or more than 60 years. True diagnosis was as follows; refusal to take oral medications or keeping food in mouth 73/241, (30.29%), misdiagnosed as advanced dementia or early Alzheimer’s disease, Serotonin Syndrome 23/241, (09.54%), Subacute Encephalopathy 67/241, (27.80%) caused by infections e.g. urinary tract infection or pneumonia, hyponatremia, were taken as advanced widespread disease or deepening encephalopathy due to metabolic cause, Depression in 47/241, (19.50%), was taken as worsening of symptoms or polypharmacy. Impulse control disorders 31/241, (12.86%) were misdiagnosed as extremes of behavior with efforts leading to hospitalization in psychiatric institution. CONCLUSION Fugitive diagnosis in patients with neurologic symptoms and signs, especially in neurodegenerative disorders results in worsening of patient condition with no chance of benefit. The patient is subjected to inappropriate, ineffective and potentially harmful treatment. Fugitive diagnosis fails to address symptoms, delays appropriate therapy, and may lead to worst prognosis. Finally, it may lead to unnecessary higher cost of treatment for patient in particular and health care system in general. So clinical guidelines should be made to overcome these situations
Early Days of Sino-Pakistan Relations
Pakistan and China got independence one after another. China of Chiang-Kai-Shek had very little interest in Indo-Pakistan Subcontinent. However, they were hostile to the division of Subcontinent on religious ground. When Pakistan got independence, it did not receive any felicitations from China; on the other hand Pakistan took no interest in Chinese revolution. Pakistan only got activated when India became the floor-runner in recognition of China. After Indian recognition, Pakistan also recognized China. The real test of relationship was, when India stopped supply of coal for Pakistani trains and Chinese helped Pakistan, Pakistan on the other hand refused to condemn China in 1950s Korean War. The start of the relationship was neither warm nor cold. Pakistan had assumed that China was a neighbor and neighbor can not be changed. Moreover in case of Chinese assumption of Security Council seat, Pakistanis realized that Kashmir question would be discussed at UN, therefore, close and friendly relationship with China was necessary but Pakistan also needed economic and military assistance which could only come from Western block. However, maintaining normal relations with China was considered necessary. Therefore, Pakistan strongly supported Chinese‟ entry into UN Security Council and at Bandung Conference

Celebrity Endorsement and Consumer Purchase Intentions
Due to the cluttering of advertisements, it has become extremely difficult for marketers to get the attention of consumers. Marketers across the world are now relying on celebrity endorsements. Advertising messages endorsed by celebrities provide a higher degree of appeal, attention and recall than those endorsed by non-celebrities. Many earlier studies have measured the efiectiveness of celebrity endorsement and there is limited evidence on the effect of celebrity endorsement on purchase intention. Thus, the aim of this study is to measure the efiect of credibility, attractiveness and congruency on purchase intention. The sample size for this study was 150 and the sampling approach was purposive. The study found that the strongest predictor of purchase intention was congruency followed by credibility and attractiveness. Keywords: Celebrity endorsement, Celebrity attractiveness, Consumer purchase intention.
