    This research study was conducted in order to explore the Iphone market. The main aim of this study was to find out whether or not the heads at the Apple Company were wholly responsible for the hype created for the phone. Conducting this research interests me because from my understanding Apple Iphone is the only product that could create such a massive hype, a hype that persists even today. My study is ‘for’ the topic and it further goes into talking about what marketing strategies were adopted and how they worked benefiting Apple. The overall aim of this research study is to understand the main objectives of this project. The marketing strategies adopted were branding, segmentation, innovative strategy and relationship marketing. The further details as to how these worked for hyping I phone have been discussed in the essay. To achieve my objectives primary data was collected through interviews, observing websites, and Apple store visits where as secondary data was collected.     Quantifying the Risk of Hospital Readmissions: A Data Analysis and Predictive Modeling Approach

    Despite several improvements in various domains of healthcare systems, the inability to reduce patients’ readmission rates is still a major problem faced by healthcare providers. It is extremely important to reduce the probability of readmissions because these not only increase the burden of healthcare costs on the patient but also expose them to prolonged psychological stress (e.g., trauma, pain, and discomfort due to altered physical functions) and healthcare-associated infections. Readmissions basically lead to the use of healthcare resources by the same person twice instead of being utilized by another patient. Furthermore, the readmission rate is used as a potential measure of healthcare quality. The high readmission rates may be due to a poor quality of care provided and could tarnish the reputation of the healthcare facilities. It could also reduce hospitals’ reimbursements from the insurance companies. The goal of this research is to quantify the risk of hospital readmissions by analyzing significant factors in patients undergoing skin procedures and to also identify the best time-frame and the corresponding predictors that could be used for predicting future readmissions related to skin procedures. Specifically, data analysis and predictive modeling approach will be adopted to identify the predictors of readmissions using a dataset of over 22,000 hospitalizations. The proposed the methodology will concentrate on patients’ demographics such as their age and gender along with the type of service, place of service, and others in order to predict if readmissions could be explained by these factors. Our study will analyze the significance of the above-mentioned factors for readmissions occurring over six different time intervals. The time-intervals being considered under this study are within 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, 45 days, 90 days and 1 year of initial admission. After analyzing the predictors over different time intervals, we found that although the significant factors differ for different time intervals, readmissions for the selected group of patients can be correlated to specific predicting variables for each of the time-interval. One of the predictors that seemed to be consistent over five different time intervals is the patient’s age. The care provider is another predictor, which was identified as statistically significant for more than one of the time intervals. Utilizing the training, validation, and testing data split, we were able to predict a probable outcome of whether or not it would be a case of readmission. By employing the confusion matrix to compare this predicted outcome against the actual outcome, the study checked the authenticity and accuracy of the models developed for each of the time intervals. Based on the performance measures developed using the confusion matrix, the best time-intervals to predict the readmissions are 7 days and 90 days with the F-1 score of 0.53, whereas the worst-time interval is 15 days

    Hiding Text in Audio Using LSB Based Steganography

    A Steganographic method for embedding  textual information in WAV audio  is discussed here. In the proposed method each audio sample is converted into bits and then the textual information is embedded in it. In embedding process , first the message character is converted into its equivalent binary. The last 4 bits of this binary is taken into consideration and applying redundancy of the binary code the prefix either 0 or 1 is used. To identify the uppercase, lower case, space ,and number the control symbols in the form of binary is used. By using proposed LSB based algorithm, the capacity of stego system to hide the text increases. The performance evaluation is done on the basis of MOS by taking 20 samples and comparison of  SNR values with some known and proposed algorithm.     Difusi Norma Kesetaraan Gender oleh UN Women dalam Kasus Kekerasan terhadap Perempuan di Indonesia

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penyebaran norma kesetaraan gender yang dilakukan oleh UN Women dalam mengatasi peningkatan kekerasan terhadap perempuan di Indonesia. Angka isu kekerasan perempuan Indonesia sebanyak 83% dan berada di peringkat ke-101 dari 156 negara. Meningkatnya isu kekerasan terhadap perempuan dilatarbelakangi saat mulai terjadinya penyebaran Covid-19. Namun, Pemerintah Indonesia hanya memberlakukan satuan tugas khusus penanganan dampak Covid-19 pada biomedis dan ekonomi. UN Women berperan dalam menyebarkan norma kesetaraan gender mengenai isu kekerasan terhadap perempuan. Penelitian menggunakan konsep norm diffusion oleh Martha Finnemore dan Kathryn Sikkink. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian metode analisis deskriptif berdasarkan data sekunder. Berdasarkan konsep Finnemore, hasil penyebaran norma kesetaraan gender oleh UN Women dapat melalui kontribusi sosialisasi UN Women sebagai agen kepada jaringan masyarakat, dalam mempertahankan komitmen Indonesia mengenai usaha pengesahan Undang-Undang baru tentang tindak pidana kekerasan seksual. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga melalui berbagai aktivitas yang melibatkan multi aktor, seperti perusahaan swasta, OI, komunitas mahasiswa, dan banyak lagi, sehingga timbulnya perubahan perilaku dan awareness setiap aktor

    Explicit Reconstruction of Polarization Ellipse using Rotating Polarizer

    This paper describes a method for the explicit reconstruction and visualization of various polarization ellipses from the intensities measured after a rotating polarizer. The state of polarization of a light beam is represented by the variation of the electric field amplitude vector with polar angle in the laboratory coordinate system defined by the experimental set-up. The intensity of the light beam measured after passing through a rotating polarizer gives the estimate of the wave electric field component parallel to the polarizer pass axis averaged over a time period. The formulae for the estimation of orthogonal field component and polar angle, in the polarizer coordinate system have been derived. Both the orthogonally polarized components and the polar angle are functions of ellipse parameters that have been deduced from the intensity measurements. Finally, the resultant electric field and the polar angle are mapped to the laboratory coordinate system and compared with the representation of the polarization ellipse obtained from the Stokes vectors

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbandingan pemikiran keislaman Haji Abdul Karim Amrullah Dan Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah mengenai praktek beragama orang Minangkabau. Penelitian ini menggunakan tahap metode sejarah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi pustaka. Studi pustaka dilakukan untuk mendapatkan sumber primer dan sekunder. Dari studi pustaka didapat buku-buku karangan Haji Abdul Karim Amrullah dan Haji Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah serta tulisan lainnya terkait kedua tokoh yang berkaitan dengan tema penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang yang mempengaruhi pemikiran keislaman kedua tokoh adalah pendidikan yang didapat sejak kecil. Berdasarkan nasab ulama, keduanya sama-sama mendapat pembelajaran Islam. HAKA melihat bahwa Islam dan adat Minangkabau berada pada fase jahiliyah (kebodohan) karena banyak praktek beragama orang Minang yang telah menyimpang dari ajaran yang kaffah. Sedangkan HAMKA, melihat bahwa antara Islam dan adat Minangkabau berada pada kemorosotan karena masih bergantung kepada sistem matrilineal. Islam harus dijadikan petunjuk untuk keluar dari lingkaran tersebut. Praktek beragama orang Minangkabau menurut HAKA terjerat pada praktek beragama yang kolot. Menurut HAKA, ulama Kaum Tua Minangkabau dalam menjalankan syariat Islam salah tangkap atau salah tafsir dalam memahami agama. HAMKA memandang orang Minangkabau secara lebih moderat, sehingga ia tidak melakukan kontroversial dalam karya-karyanya. Meskipun HAMKA tidak setuju dengan cara beragama orang Minangkabau yang tidak sesuai dengan Al Quran dan as Sunnah tetapi ia menyampaikan dengan bahasa yang santun

    ANALISIS PERBAIKAN KUALITAS TEGANGAN DAN RUGI-RUGI DAYA MENGGUNAKAN TAP CHANGER TRANSFORMATOR

    Penelitian ini berlokasi di PT. PLN (Persero) Distribusi Jawa Barat dan Banten Area Bandung dengan subjek yang diangkat mengenai perbaikan kualitas tegangan dan rugi-rugi daya menggunakan Tap Changer Transformator pada saluran distribusi 20 kV di penyulang WBK (West Braga Kuning). Alasan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tegangan dan rugi-rugi daya di penyulang WBK dengan menggunakan pendekatan aliran daya. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas tegangan dan rugi-rugi daya pada sistem dengan menggunakan pendekatan aliran daya yang dengan software ETAP PowerStation 12.6.0 dengan metode Energy Load Flow. Hasil tegangan dengan menggunakan metode Energi Load Flow sebelum dilakukan perbaikan menggunakan Tap Changer Transformator didapatkan nilai tegangan yang tidak memenuhi standar pada trafo distribusinya dan rugi – rugi dayanya besar. Kemudian dilakukan perbaikan menggunakan Tap Changer Transformator dengan menaikan tegangan pada trafo Gardu Induk dan menghasilkan nilai tegangan yang masih belum maksimal. Setelah tegangan pada trafo Gardu Induk dinaikan kemudian dinaikan juga tegangan pada trafo gardu distribusinya sehinga menghasilkan nilai keluaran tegangan yang memenuhi standar dan rugi – rugi daya yang kecil. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa jika nilai tegangan di trafo Gardu Induk dan trafo gardu distribusi diatur hingga mendekati nilai yang dibutuhkan maka akan menghasilkan nilai keluaran tegangan yang maksimal. Perbaikan tegangan juga mempengaruhi rugi – rugi dayanya, jika tegangan mendekati nilai maksimal maka rugi – rugi dayanya akan menjadi kecil. Nilai tegangan yang konstan akan mengoptimalkan kerja dari peralatan listrik yang digunakan oleh konsumen. Sedangkan rugi-rugi daya yang kecil akan menjaga pasokan daya listrik sesuai dengan kebutuhan konsumen, serta dapat mengurangi kerugian finansial yang terjadi selama proses transmisi dan distribusi.;--- This research was located at PT. PLN (Persero) Distribution of West Java and Banten Area Bandung with topic the improvement of voltage quality and losses using tap-changer transformer of electrical energy on 20 kV distribution system in WBK (West Braga Kuning) feeder. The reason of this research was to know voltage and losses in WBK feeder using load flow approach. The purpose of this research is to know improvement of voltage quality and losses by using the load flow approach that is done by software ETAP PowerStation 12.6.0 with Energy Load Flow method. The result of voltage using Energy Load Flow before any improvement with Tap Changer Transformator was bad because voltage quality and losses does not fit the standard. After the improvement with Tap Changer Transformator in substation’s transformator, voltage using Energy Load Flow still bad. For the best result the transformator voltage in relay station must be arranged with Tap Changer Transformator too. Constant voltage will optimize performance of electrical tools which used by consumer. Little loss will keep electrical supply appropriate with consumers necessity, and can decrease financial loss that happened during transmission and distribution process
