    No full text
This article discusses the tensions and assumptions underlying the understanding and implementation of homoerotic practices. It refers to the historiographic developments of Critical Social Psychology to identify notions that are derived from the self and personal identity. It also presents the socioconstructionist approach to the social construction of sexuality. Additionally, it exposes some of the current tensions between LGBT Studies and Queer Theory. The article employs Potter and Wetherell's model of interpretive repertoiresto guidethe analysis of arguments presented by participants in the study to the disjunction between essentialism (being born homosexual) and constructionism (becoming homosexual). The findings show how participants used rhetorical resources such as deconstruction, with its potential for resistance, and reflexivity, which can triggerdiscursive changes in the culture. To conclude, the article proposes that contemporary narratives of homosexuality are characterized by erotic plasticity

La particular experiencia del Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Joaquín V. González” durante la última dictadura cívico-militar argentina (1976-1983). Un aporte para la discusión

    No full text
The Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Joaquín V. González” is a state teacher training institution, located in the City of Buenos Aires. In spite of its symbolic value and of the large number of students, the institution represented a rather secondary target for the repression executed by the last Argentinian military dictatorship. If we take into account the national educational community was one of the most attacked by the state terrorism, the experience of the Profesorado turns out to be remarkable. This article goes through the bibliography written about it and provides new elements to analyse the problem: the institutional identity of the Profesorado and the social representations related to being a teacher in Argentina

    No full text
The present article focuses on the study of UCD (Unión de Centro Democrático)’s decomposition and its interrelation with the genesis of the CDS (Centro Democrático y Social) in the province of Zamora, referring to the national dimension of both processes, within the context of the Spanish Transition. For this purpose, we will use documentary direct sources and articles of press. In order to interweave our argumentation, we will move on the theoretical frame developed by Jonathan R. Hopkin in his classic study on UCD’s crisis. We will value the weight of the fights of power and the ideological beliefs as reasons of UCD’s decomposition and later formation of the CDS

This article analyzes and typifies all production referring to the International Brigades and “Brigadistas” in the current context of recuperating the historical memory of the Spanish Civil War. This includes historical, literary, political, sociological, journalistic, film and museum outputs. We treat the historical sources with the same scientific rigor and objectivity as that of the experimental sciences, and we have come to diverse conclusions concerning the complexity of these sources such as the fact that the contents of the historical sources do not present any real difficulty in their internal coherence and relationships, despite the subjectivity that characterizes them. We propose another method of analysis that differs from the technical and systems analysis of other areas of knowledge such as psychology and mathematical statistics. We are constructing our own research methodology, designed specifically for historical sources. Our goal is to achieve complete accessibility for all sources through digital systems and the Web and thus guarantee research and teaching and, above all, ensure the recovery of the collective memory of the Spanish Civil War and its protagonists
