In this paper, we consider a general random censorship model and prove asymptotic properties of modified empirical Kac processes. This model includes such important special cases as random censorship on the right and competing risks model. Our results use strong approximation method. Cumulative hazard processes also investigated in a similar manner in the general setting
The use of dry hopping technique in brewing
Currently, the application of the dry hopping process is a new technology. This method of introducing hops allows you to preserve unstable aromatic oils. The dry hopping process means the addition of hop products at the fermentation stage of the fermentation chine or kegs after the fermentation process is completed. The dry hopping technology does not give the beer a bitter taste, but as a result of its use, it allows you to preserve volatile unstable aromatic oils that evaporate during cooking: monoterpenes-myrcene , diterpenes-dimircene, sexwiterpenes-Ξ²-corpofyllene, etc. Beer prepared using this technology is characterized by a rich aroma of hops, which is not present in traditional brewing technology. Based on the production tasting quality assessment, sensory profiles and physico-chemical parameters of drinks with different concentrations of Goldings hops were determined, in particular, the content of the extract, pH, the content of bitter substances, color, diacetyl content, alcohol content, the degree of fermentation, and according to the results of the profilogram analysis, the optimal dose of hops administration was 29 g/dal
Modeling the registration efficiency of thermal neutrons by gadolinium foils
In the paper we present the results of mathematical modeling of the
registration efficiency of thermal neutrons for the converters made of natural
Gd and its 157 isotope plane-parallel foils. In the performed calculations four
fixed energies of neutrons with the corresponding wavelengths of 1, 1.8, 3 and
4 are taken into account. We calculate the efficiencies of the converter
for electron escapes to frontward and backward hemispheres and their sum,
depending on thickness of converting foils. Results of comparison of our
calculations with the experimental data are presented.Comment: 19 pages, 8 figure

On the Geochemistry of Major and Trace Elements Distribution in Sediments and Soils of Zarafshon River Valley, Western Tajikistan
To assess the geochemical features of sedimentary material of Zarafshon river, (Western Tajikistan) catchment basin, the mass fractions of 38 major and trace elements were determined by Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) in 2 × 116 paired samples of sediments and soils collected along the Zarafshon River and its main tributaries from the sources to Tajik—Uzbek border. At each collecting location, the distance between sediments and soils’ sampling was no greater than 10 m allowing the studying of the interrelation between sediments and soils. This evidenced a significant similarity between paired soils and sediments’ samples, including the potentially contaminating elements As, Sb and Hg, whose mass fractions in some places were significantly higher than for the Upper Continental Crust (UCC) and North American Shale Composite (NASC), suggesting a common provenience. At the same time, the distribution of major, as well as of incompatible trace elements, Sc, Zr, REE, Th, and U, in spite of geological diversity of the Zarafshon river catchment basin, suggest a possible felsic origin of investigated material
