Employee perfonnance is an important principle for the successfulness of local governments. It is important as local governments cover up 70% of the population and an important institution in Malaysia. The extent of employee perfonnance in local government will indicates the perfonnance of the employees. In addition, motivation is one of the factors that can enhance the employee perfonnance in local governments. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between motivational factors which include recognition, working environment, training and communication. A survey was conducted at Majlis Perbandaran Sungai Petani Kedah (MPSPK). TI1e data were collected using a self-administrated questionnaire from 165 respondents using a systematic sampling technique. However, only 148 responses with 89.7% response rate were deemed suitable for further analysis. The result of this study indicates that there is high extent of employee perfonnance at MPSPK and communication is the most dominant factor that influences employee perfonnance at MPSPK. This study also shows that all hypothesis on motivational factors listed were accepted

We had conducted a survey on Mean Glandular Dose (MGD) from Full-Field Digital Mammography systems (FFDM) operate using Molybdenum/Molybdenum (Mo/Mo) and Tungsten/Rhodium (W/Rh) target/filter combinations. A survey was carried out at two randomly selected mammography centres in Malaysia, namely National Cancer Society and International Islamic University of Malaysia. The first centre operates using a W/Rh, while the second centre operates using an Mo/Mo target/filter combinations. On the basis of recorded information, data on mammographic views, MGD, age and Compressed Breast Thickness (CBT) were recorded for 100 patients, for each mammographic centre respectively. The MGD data were analyzed for variation with age group, with 5 years increment. The MGD data were also analyzed for variation with CBT, with 5 mm increment. We found that for both CC and MLO views, FFDM systems operated using Mo/Mo and W/Rh target/filter combinations present the same trend on MGD. The average MGD decreases as age increases. While average MGD increases with the increasing of CBT. However, FFDM system operates using Mo/Mo gives higher MGD as compared with FFDM system operates using W/R

Purpose: The primary objective of this study was to determine the breast densitv from screening mammography procedure in Malaysia. The secondary objective was to determine breast density among three major ethnic groups and the effect towards age on breast density among the three major ethnic groups of women in Malaysia. Methods: The study was conducted at two randomly selected mammography centres in Malavsia, namely National Cancer Society and International lslamic University of Malaysia. This was a retrospective study of 1086 women(481 Malays, 478 Chinese and I27 Indian). The Tabar classification (Pattern l-V) was used to evaluate breast density on digital mammograms. The SPSS package was used for statistical analysis. Results: We found that majority of Malaysian women had dense breast of Tabar pattern I and lV. Chinese women had the highest percentage of dense breast. followed bv Indian and Malay. There was no statistically significant difference in breast densitv in the three major ethnic groups. The breast density reduces with age. Conclusion: We found that majority of Malaysian women had dense breast of Tabar pattern I and lV. Chinese women had the highest percentage of dense breast, followed by Indian and Malay. There was no statistically significant difference in breast density in the three major ethnic groups' The breast density reduces with age
