Reconfiguration of Distribution Networks with Presence of DGs to Improving the Reliability

In this paper, the network reconfiguration in the presence of distributed generation units with the aim of improving the reliability of the network is studied. For this purpose four reliability parameters in the objective function are considered, which is average energy not supplied system average interruption frequency index, system average interruption duration index and momentary average interruption frequency index. The new method will be normalized objective function. Another suggestion of this paper are considering the different fault rates, locating time of faults type and prioritization of customers based on their importance. This nonlinear problem has optimized by particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm

Nature of the 5f states in actinide metals

Actinide elements produce a plethora of interesting physical behaviors due to the 5f states. This review compiles and analyzes progress in understanding of the electronic and magnetic structure of the 5f states in actinide metals. Particular interest is given to electron energy-loss spectroscopy and many-electron atomic spectral calculations, since there is now an appreciable library of core d -> valence f transitions for Th, U, Np, Pu, Am, and Cm. These results are interwoven and discussed against published experimental data, such as x-ray photoemission and absorption spectroscopy, transport measurements, and electron, x-ray, and neutron diffraction, as well as theoretical results, such as density-functional theory and dynamical mean-field theory.Comment: 136 pages in Word format, 29 Figures; Accepted to Reviews of Modern Physic

The effect of obesity on self-esteem among pre university Iranian students in Kashan city of Iran april 2009

Overweight is one of the most frequent phenomena, which poses serious health risks, emotional disturbances and esthetic and social problems in the world. (Malekzadeh and Mohamad Nejad, 2005), Ayatollahi's (2010) study found that the prevalence of obesity is growing dramatically both in developed and in developing countries. This study has conducted to evaluate the effect of juvenile obesity on self-esteem The participants to this study have been selected from all pre university schools in Kashan (a city near to capital city of Iran), for a total of 450 students. The population is constituted of 255 females and 195 males. Each student received a consent form, which had to be signed by the parent or legal guardian before the actual participation to this study. This information was used in order to select a random cluster of children. We calculated the BMI for each student included in our sample, and we used CDC growth chart 2008 for evaluating the amount of obesity or lost weight among our sample. The Rosenberg' Self-esteem Scale is completed during students homeroom class. This study had two hypotheses: the relationship between self-esteem and BMI. And. the effect of obesity impacts on self-esteem regarding to gender. Correlation formula is used as analysis method for the first hypothesis and Mann- Whitney formula for the second hypothesis. Study proved that there is no significant correlation between self-esteem and obesity; furthermore, obesity in the female population has no more significant effect on their self-esteem than on the male population

The alexithymia, cognitive emotion regulation, and physical symptoms in Iranian asthmatic patients

The aims of this study were to evaluate alexithymia subscales and cognitive emotion regulation strategies (CERS) of asthmatic patients and to clarify the relations of alexithymia subscales and cognitive emotion regulation strategies (CERS) to physical symptoms (PS) and other clinical variables. 300 patients with asthma and 100 normal controls completed the Demographic Questionnaire, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ), Persian version of the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (FTAS-20), and Powell and Enright Physical Symptoms Inventory (PSI). Asthmatic patients had significantly higher scores on all three alexithymia subscales including difficulty in identifying feelings (DIF), difficulty in describing feelings (DDF), and externally oriented thinking (EOT) and non-adaptive CERS than normal controls. Asthmatic patients with alexithymia showed higher scores on asthma severity, non-adaptive CERS, and PS. The partial correlation revealed that PS was significantly correlated with DIF, DDF, EOT, and non-adaptive CERS. DIF, EOT, and non-adaptive CERS were significant predictors of PS. It is concluded that alexithymia subscales and non-adaptive CERS were related to PS. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved

Ranking the Components of Emotional Intelligence Affecting the Performance of Human Resources of the Ministry of Cooperatives

Emotional Intelligence is one of the tools that by which it will be possible to taking benefit of positive emotions and also delete or adjust negative emissions, so by concentrating on the most effective elements you will reach the best result in minimum time and by less expenses. The goal of present research is to identify and classify the elements of emotional intelligence that affect the Ministry of Cooperative’s human resources performance. As Daniel Goleman Emotional Intelligence Model is one of the most comprehensive ones, it is used to review the most effective elements of emotional intelligence. The main question in this research is: what is the priority of elements of emotional intelligence that affect employee’s performance? The questions of the questionnaire which is the main data gathering tool of this study, have been formed by operating abstract meaning of emotional intelligence and then 175 samples including employees of Ministry of Cooperatives were chosen. After performing correlation and regression test and Friedman Scoring Test on gathered data from sample group, 4 main hypotheses were formed that 3 of them accepted and one of them rejected. This means that among emotional intelligence elements, three of them that are self management, relations management and EI self-awareness affect ministry of cooperatives human resources. At next level, sub elements of these elements have been scored and after concluding the results of the hypotheses, suggestions submitted to Ministry of Cooperatives

Alexithymia, empathy, negative affect and physical symptoms in patients with asthma

Although alexithymia has been found to be associated with physical symptoms in psychosomatic disorders such as asthma, mechanisms linking this association are unknown. However, affective alexithymic features may be associated with physical symptoms in the presence of deficits in affective characteristics such as low empathy and high negative affect. This study aimed to assess direct effects of alexithymic traits on physical symptoms and indirect effects of these subscales through empathy and negative affect (e.g. depressive, anxious and stress symptoms) by controlling for asthma severity in patients with asthma. Three hundred patients with asthma completed the Toronto Alexithymia Scale-20 (TAS-20), the Basic Empathy Scale (BES), the Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-21 (DASS-21) and the Physical Symptoms Inventory (PSI). After controlling for asthma severity, the results showed that alexithymia subscales of the TAS-20 had no direct effects on physical symptoms, but the difficulty in identifying feelings (DIF) subscale of the TAS-20 was associated with affective empathy and negative affect. Affective empathy was significantly related to negative affect. Affective empathy and negative affect were associated with physical symptoms. The affective subscale of alexithymia on the TAS-20, that is DIF, indirectly affected physical symptoms through affective empathy and negative affect. Findings suggest that patients with asthma who have high levels of DIF may show high physical symptoms in the presence of low affective empathy and high negative affect
