    The nucleon and the nuclear force in the context of effective theory and path-integral methods

    The nucleon structure and the nuclear force are investigated in the context of the non-perturbative path-integral method of hadronization. Starting from a microscopic quark-diquark model, the nucleon is generated as a relativistic bound state and an effective chiral meson-nucleon Lagrangian is derived.     Quasifree processes from nuclei: Meson photoproduction and electron scattering

    We have developed a relativistic formalism for studying quasi-free processes from nuclei. The formalism can be applied with ease to a variety of processes and renders transparent analytical expressions for all observables. We have applied it to kaon photoproduction and to electron scattering. For the case of the kaon, we compute the recoil polarization of the lambda-hyperon and the photon asymmetry. Our results indicate that polarization observables are insensitive to relativistic, nuclear target, and distortion effects. Yet, they are sensitive to the reactive content, making them ideal tools for the study of modifications to the elementary amplitude -- such as in the production, propagation, and decay of nucleon resonances -- in the nuclear medium. For the case of the electron, we have calculated the spectral function of He-4. An observable is identified for the clean and model-independent extraction of the spectral function. Our calculations provide baseline predictions for the recently measured, but not yet fully analyzed, momentum distribution of He-4 by the A1-collaboration from Mainz.     Understanding Critical Variables for Customer Relationship Management in Higher Education Institution from Employees Perspective

    The aim of this paper is to evaluate the critical success factors and investigate the benefits that might be gained once implementing Electronic Customer Relationship Management at HEI from employee perspective. The study conducted at Al Quds Open University in Palestine and data collected from (300) employee through a questionnaire which consist of four variables. A number of statistical tools were intended for hypotheses testing and data analysis, including Spearman correlation coefficient for Validity, reliability correlation using Cronbach’s alpha, and Frequency and Descriptive analysis. The overall findings of the current study show that all the features were important for staff and it was critical success factors, at the same time, websites were providing all the features discussed by the theory whereas staff showed their willingness to use those features if provided. It is also discovered that implementing Electronic Customer Relationship Management can cause staff retention, were provided efficiently and needed to be improved. Research limitations: The survey findings were based on QOU employee in Palestine, UAE and KSA branches not included in the study

    Strategic and Operational Planning As Approach for Crises Management Field Study on UNRWA

    The research aims to study the role of strategic and operational planning as approach for crises management in UNRWA - Gaza Strip field- Palestine. Several descriptive analytical methods were used for this purpose and a survey as a tool for data collection. Community size was (881), and the study sample was stratified random (268). The overall findings of the current study show that strategic and operational planning is performed in UNRWA. The results of static analysis show that there are a relation between strategic and operational planning and crises management. In spite this relation existence, it need more improvement and expanding. Also there are shortcomings in the way that organization manages the crises before and after they occur. A crisis management is only practicing during the crisis. The study suggests that UNRWA must invest in more resources to enhance strategic and operational palming and improve other methods to face potential crises in the future

    This paper aims to measure Knowledge Management Maturity (KMM) in the universities to determine the impact of knowledge management on high performance. This study was applied on Al-Quds Open University in Gaza strip, Palestine. Asian productivity organization model was applied to measure KMM. Second dimension which assess high performance was developed by the authors. The controlled sample was (306). Several statistical tools were used for data analysis and hypotheses testing, including reliability Correlation using Cronbach’s alpha, “ANOVA”, Simple Linear Regression and Step Wise Regression.The overall findings of the current study suggest that KMM is suitable for measuring high performance. KMM assessment shows that maturity level is in level three. Findings also support the main hypothesis and it is sub- hypotheses. The most important factors effecting high performance are: Processes, KM leadership, People, KM Outcomes and Learning and Innovation. Furthermore the current study is unique by the virtue of its nature, scope and way of implied investigation, as it is the first comparative study in the universities of Palestine explores the status of KMM using the Asian productivity Model

    Using the Asian Knowledge Model “APO” as a Determinant for Performance Excellence in Universities- Empirical Study at Al -Azhar University- Gaza

    This study aims to use the Asian knowledge model “APO” as a determinant for performance excellence in universities and identifying the most effecting factors on it. This study was applied on Al-Azhar University in Gaza strip. The result of the study showed that (APO) model is valid as a measure and there are four dimensions in the model affecting significantly more than the others (university processes, KM leadership, personnel, KM outputs). Furthermore, performance excellence produced though modernizing the means of education, curriculum development, technology and flexibility in the organizational structure. The study recommends expanding the usage of (APO) model, enhancing the role of knowledge leadership, technology, organizational flexibility, sharing culture and incentive systems that encouraging innovation
