An ontological model of experience-based knowledge management in agile software development environment

    Get PDF
Agile software development (ASD) involves more in discussion and communication between team members compared to documentation; it is difficult for team members to share knowledge among them. In this matter, knowledge management (KM) plays critical role in managing and capturing the knowledge especially experience-based knowledge. This research main purpose is to create ontology to represent the knowledge that has been stored in knowledge repository after capturing the experience knowledge from the development team in ASD. This ontology model will help by describing a relationship that will later on help in sharing the experience knowledge easily among Community of Practice (CoP). A literature review of the common things in the ASD been conducted, we then creating ontology model by using a tools called Protégé. This ontology called as Experience-Based Knowledge Management (EBKM) Ontology Model. The model is deployed to apply to the reality as a prototype to demonstrate its real value

The objective of the study was to predict students’ decision to enroll for a doctoral program at the Faculty of Educational Studies. A discriminant analysis was conducted to investigate the predictors that influence a student’s decision to enroll for a doctoral program. The predictors investigated were job factors, personal factors, program factors, social factors, satisfaction, and academic performance. The overall Wilk’s Lambda was significant, Λ = 0.87, Chi-Square (6, n = 117) = 15.99, p = 0.014. This indicated that the predictors were significantly different among groups of student who plan to enroll for a doctoral program (Group 1) and those who do not (Group 2). Of the total 117 students, 90 (76%) were classified correctly

The logos are purposely and properly crop into partial design that rids-off the original design. The results that have been captured showed positively that every famous logo come with specific characteristic that make it easily recognizable although it’s not been fully exposed. Therefore, this study starts with 20 famous logos among design students. The result can be acquired for reference by industry for commercial use. This study also directly contributes to the improvement of knowledge, especially in graphic design log

Data were collected via self administered survey questionnaire. The respondents consist of 100 executives and managers of the company, and all the questionnaires distributed were filled and returned back for data analysis. Findings indicate that all three factors significantly influence the level of knowledge sharing with the manager’s compensation system has the strongest impact.MNC therefore should clearly define the manager’s role in knowledge sharing and provide attractive rewards and remunerations to encourage knowledge sharing. At the same time, cultural differences should not be considered as a barrier to knowledge sharing as this study indicates that it can be a driver for effective knowledge sharing between headquarters and subsidiaries
