D+D fusion products yield in torsatron Large Helical Device
In the present paper we study the possibility to obtain fusion products and control of fusion products amount in operating torsatron device, particularly Large Helical Device. The study is carried out on the base of the particle and power balance equations where the evolution of plasma parameters in time is being followed also. Access of the ignition and the steady operation for different fueling schemes is studied. There were developed the fueling scenarios which provide the amount of fusion products distinguished two orders magnitude amount. It is shown that varying the fueling rates (the source term in the balance equations) makes it possible to control the fusion product amounts two orders of the magnitude.
Effect of cold alpha-particle removal and fueling scenarios on power and particle balance in fusion plasma
Evolution in time of the plasma density, temperature and thermal alpha-particle density is considered under modeling of the helium ash removal. It is shown that slow changing in time of the helium ash density can be used for the operation path changing in fusion DT plasma. There is considered also the effect of different scenarios of fueling rates on the plasma operation path and steady state parameters. The temporal evolutions of the operating point during the ignition access and ignited operation phases are analyzed analytically and numerically. The main target of the study is the optimization of the plasma operation scenario in future fusion reactors including ITER.
Network patterns and strength of orbital currents in layered cuprates
In a frame of the model we derive the microscopical expression for
the circulating orbital currents in layered cuprates using the anomalous
correlation functions. In agreement with -on spin relaxation (SR),
nuclear quadrupolar resonance (NQR) and inelastic neutron scattering(INS)
experiments in YBaCuO we successfully explain the order of
magnitude and the monotonous increase of the {\it internal} magnetic fields
resulting from these currents upon cooling. However, the jump in the intensity
of the magnetic fields at T reported recently seems to indicate a
non-mean-field feature in the coexistence of current and superconducting states
and the deviation of the extended charge density wave vector instability from
its commensurate value {\bf Q}) in accordance with the
reported topology of the Fermi surface

Effect of nodes, ellipticity and impurities on the spin resonance in Iron-based superconductors
We analyze doping dependence of the spin resonance of an s+- superconductor
and its sensitivity to the ellipticity of electron pockets, to magnetic and
non-magnetic impurities, and to the angle dependence of the superconducting gap
along electron Fermi surfaces. We show that the maximum intensity of the
resonance shifts from commensurate to incommensurate momentum above some
critical doping which decreases with increasing ellipticity. Angle dependence
of the gap and particularly the presence of accidental nodes lowers the overall
intensity of the resonance peak and shifts its position towards the onset of
the particle-hole continuum. Still, however, the resonance remains a true
\delta-function in the clean limit. When non-magnetic or magnetic impurities
are present, the resonance broadens and its position shifts. The shift depends
on the type of impurities and on the ratio of intraband and interband
scattering components. The ratio Omega_{res}/T_c increases almost linearly with
the strength of the interband impurity scattering, in agreement with the
experimental data. We also compare spin response of s+- and s++
superconductors. We show that there is no resonance for s++ gap, even when
there is a finite mismatch between electron and hole Fermi surfaces shifted by
the antiferromagnetic momentum.Comment: 12 pages, 10 figures, submitted to PR
Computer-aided design of novel HIV-1 entry inhibitors blocking the virus envelope gp120 V3 loop
Aim. The object of this study was to implement computer-aided design of the water-soluble analog of glycolipid β -galactosylceramide (β-GalCer), which presents a potential HIV-1 entry inhibitor, by the analysis of intermolecular interactions of β-GalCer with the central region of the virus envelope gp120 V3 loop followed by synthesis of this glycolipid derivative and testing for antiviral activity. Methods. To reach the object of view, computer modeling procedures, such as quantum chemical calculations, molecular docking, molecular dynamics and free energy simulations, were involved in the studies in conjunction with chemical synthesis and anti-HIV-1 assay methods. Results. As a result, the high probability of exhibiting of antiviral activity was predicted for the designed β-GalCer analog. The data of molecular modeling were confirmed by those of primary medical trials of the synthesized compound. Conclusions. In the light of the findings obtained, the designed analog of β-GalCer may be considered as the basic structure for simulation of its more potent structural forms and for posterior selection of drug candidates most promising for synthesis and anti-HIV-1 assays.

Low temperature electronic properties of Sr_2RuO_4 I: Microscopic model and normal state properties
Starting from the quasi one-dimensional kinetic energy of the d_{yz} and
d_{zx} bands we derive a bosonized description of the correlated electron
system in Sr_2RuO_4. At intermediate coupling the magnetic correlations have a
quasi one-dimensional component along the diagonals of the basal plane of the
tetragonal unit cell that accounts for the observed neutron scattering results.
Together with two-dimensional correlations the model consistently accounts for
the normal phase specific heat, cyclotron mass enhancement, static
susceptibility, and Wilson ratio and implies an anomalous high temperature
resistivity.Comment: 12 pages REVTEX, 6 figure
