Background: Nowadays, change in the pattern of diseases to chronic has been with increasing use of medical imaging services. People with physical disability require continuous diagnostic and therapeutic services. Objectives: This study aimed to measure the waiting time for receiving medical imaging services and to examine sociodemographic factors associated with the poor experience of these people. Patients and Methods: In a cross-sectional study to assess the responsiveness of comprehensive rehabilitation centers in Tehran in 2016-2017, 610 people with physical disabilities who were referred to 10 comprehensive physical rehabilitation centers for rehabilitation services were asked whether they had used medical imaging services during their rehabilitation. The 477 participants (218 women) with positive response consisted the sample of this study. A checklist was used for data collection. T test, Chi-Square and Multiple Logistic Regression Model were used for analytical reports. Results: Poor experience in prompt attention of centers was reported by 26 of public diagnostic service users while 16 of private sector users and 21.2 by total sample. Waiting time for appointment and waiting time at the center were significantly longer in public medical imaging centers compared to the private sector (P < 0.05). Overall experience of public service users about prompt attention was poorer than the private sector (P < 0.05). Physical status (odd ratio OR = 3.2; 95% confidence interval CI = 1.3-7.8) and duration of disability (OR = 0.28; 95% CI = 0.09-0.9) were the predictors of poor experience of respondents about prompt attention in public and private centers respectively. Conclusion: From the service users viewpoint, private centers had better performance in prompt attention than public centers. Attention to physical condition and duration of disability in scheduling diagnostic services is recommended. © 2018, Author(s)

Atmospheric Neutrinos Can Make Beauty Strange

The large observed mixing angle in atmospheric neutrinos, coupled with Grand Unification, motivates the search for a large mixing between right-handed strange and bottom squarks. Such mixing does not appear in the standard CKM phenomenology, but may induce significant b to s transitions through gluino diagrams. Working in the mass eigenbasis, we show quantitatively that an order one effect on CP violation in B_d to phi+K_S is possible due to a large mixing between right-handed b and s squarks, while still satisfying constraints from b to s + gamma. We also include the effect of right- and left-handed bottom squark mixing proportional to m_b*mu*tan(beta). For small mu*tan(beta) there may also be a large effect in B_s mixing correlated with a large effect in B_d to phi+K_S, typically mixing effects are greater than 100 ps^{-1}, an unambiguous signal of new physics at Tevatron Run II.Comment: 32 pages, LaTeX. Corrected a factor of two mistake in the code; the possible impact on B -> phi K_s became larger. Figures and discussion updated, a reference adde

Bounds on the Unitarity Triangle, sin2β\sin 2\beta and KπννˉK\to\pi\nu\bar\nu Decays in Models with Minimal Flavour Violation

We present a general discussion of the unitarity triangle from ϵK\epsilon_K, ΔMd,s\Delta M_{d,s} and KπννK \to \pi\nu\overline{\nu} in models with minimal flavour violation (MFV), allowing for arbitrary signs of the generalized Inami--Lim functions FttF_{tt} and XX relevant for (ϵK,ΔMd,s)(\epsilon_K,\Delta M_{d,s}) and KπννK \to \pi\nu\overline{\nu}, respectively. In the models in which FttF_{tt} has a sign opposite to the one in the Standard Model, i.e. Ftt<0F_{tt}<0, the data for (ϵK,ΔMd,s)(\epsilon_K, \Delta M_{d,s}) imply an absolute lower bound on the BdψKSB_d\to\psi K_{S} CP asymmetry aψKSa_{\psi K_S} of 0.69, which is substantially stronger than 0.42 arising in the case of Ftt>0F_{tt}>0. An important finding of this paper is the observation that for given Br(K+π+νν)Br(K^+\to\pi^+\nu\overline{\nu}) and aψKSa_{\psi K_S} only two values for Br(KLπ0νν)Br(K_{L}\to\pi^0\nu\overline{\nu}), corresponding to the two signs of XX, are possible in the full class of MFV models, independently of any new parameters arising in these models. This provides a powerful test for this class of models. Moreover, we derive absolute lower and upper bounds on Br(KLπ0νν)Br(K_{L}\to\pi^0\nu\overline{\nu}) as functions of Br(K+π+νν)Br(K^+\to\pi^+\nu\overline{\nu}). Using the present experimental upper bounds on Br(K+π+νν)Br(K^+\to\pi^+\nu\overline{\nu}) and Vub/Vcb|V_{ub}/V_{cb}|, we obtain the absolute upper bound Br(KLπ0νν)<7.11010Br(K_{L}\to\pi^0\nu\overline{\nu})< 7.1 \cdot 10^{-10} (90% C.L.).Comment: 25 pages, LaTeX, 4 figures. The aim of this study was to evaluate student’s knowledge on solid waste management in Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT).A questionnaire was designed and 200 undergraduate students of 6 specified Faculties were asked to fill it. The SPSS software was applied for analyzing the collected data of filled questionnaire. The results showed that highest (5.53out of 10)and the lowest(3.66 out of 10)average of knowledge belong to the students of Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Faculty of Industrial Engineering ,respectively. With reference to the results obtained and in order to improve level of public knowledge of undergraduate students of universities on solid waste management as well as environmental issues, a course of “environmental Science and technology” as a part of every academic curriculum is suggested to be set
