The mechanics and physics of thin film decohesion and its measurement
The intent of this review is to utilize the mechanics of thin films in order to define quantitative procedures for predicting interface decohesion motivated by residual stress. The emphasis is on the role of the interface debond energy, especially methods for measuring this parameter in an accurate and reliable manner. Experimental results for metal films on dielectric substrates are reviewed and possible mechanisms are discussed
Dynamics of Logamediate and Intermediate Scenarios in the Dark Energy Filled Universe
We have considered a model of two component mixture i.e., mixture of
Chaplygin gas and barotropic fluid with tachyonic field. In the case, when they
have no interaction then both of them retain their own properties. Let us
consider an energy flow between barotropic and tachyonic fluids. In both the
cases we find the exact solutions for the tachyonic field and the tachyonic
potential and show that the tachyonic potential follows the asymptotic
behavior. We have considered an interaction between these two fluids by
introducing a coupling term. Finally, we have considered a model of three
component mixture i.e., mixture of tachyonic field, Chaplygin gas and
barotropic fluid with or without interaction. The coupling functions decays
with time indicating a strong energy flow at the initial period and weak stable
interaction at later stage. To keep the observational support of recent
acceleration we have considered two particular forms (i) Logamediate Scenario
and (ii) Intermediate Scenario, of evolution of the Universe. We have examined
the natures of the recent developed statefinder parameters and slow-roll
parameters in both scenarios with and without interactions in whole evolution
of the universe.Comment: 28 pages, 20 figure
A Planck-scale axion and SU(2) Yang-Mills dynamics: Present acceleration and the fate of the photon
From the time of CMB decoupling onwards we investigate cosmological evolution
subject to a strongly interacting SU(2) gauge theory of Yang-Mills scale
eV (masquerading as the factor of the SM at
present). The viability of this postulate is discussed in view of cosmological
and (astro)particle physics bounds. The gauge theory is coupled to a spatially
homogeneous and ultra-light (Planck-scale) axion field. As first pointed out by
Frieman et al., such an axion is a viable candidate for quintessence, i.e.
dynamical dark energy, being associated with today's cosmological acceleration.
A prediction of an upper limit for the duration of the
epoch stretching from the present to the point where the photon starts to be
Meissner massive is obtained: billion years.Comment: v3: consequences of an error in evolution equation for coupling

Anisotropic optical response of the diamond (111)-2x1 surface
The optical properties of the 21 reconstruction of the diamond (111)
surface are investigated. The electronic structure and optical properties of
the surface are studied using a microscopic tight-binding approach. We
calculate the dielectric response describing the surface region and investigate
the origin of the electronic transitions involving surface and bulk states. A
large anisotropy in the surface dielectric response appears as a consequence of
the asymmetric reconstruction on the surface plane, which gives rise to the
zigzag Pandey chains. The results are presented in terms of the reflectance
anisotropy and electron energy loss spectra. While our results are in good
agreement with available experimental data, additional experiments are proposed
in order to unambiguously determine the surface electronic structure of this
interesting surface.Comment: REVTEX manuscript with 6 postscript figures, all included in uu file.

Statefinder Description in Generalized Holographic and Ricci Dark Energy Models
We have considered the generalized holographic and generalized Ricci dark
energy models for acceleration of the universe. If the universe filled with
only GHDE/GRDE the corresponding decel- eration parameter, EOS parameter and
statefinder parameters have been calculated. Next we have considered that the
mixture of GHDE/GRDE and dark matter in interacting and non-interacting
situations. Also the mixture of GHDE/GRDE and generalized Chaplygin gas have
been analyzed during evolution of the universe. The natures of above mentioned
parameters have been investigated for interacting and non-interacting
situations. Finally, it follows that the prescribed models derive the
acceleration of the universe.Comment: 18 pages and 19 figure
Entropy-Corrected New Agegraphic Dark Energy Model in Horava-Lifshitz Gravity
In this work, we have considered the entropy-corrected new agegraphic dark
energy (ECNADE) model in Horava-Lifshitz gravity in FRW universe. We have
discussed the correspondence between ECNADE and other dark energy models such
as DBI-essence,Yang-Mills dark energy, Chameleon field, Non-linear
electrodynamics field and hessence dark energy in the context of
Horava-Lifshitz gravity and reconstructed the potentials and the dynamics of
the scalar field theory which describe the ECNADE.Comment: 12 page
Review of experimental methods to determine spontaneous combustion susceptibility of coal – Indian context
This paper presents a critical review of the different techniques developed to investigate the susceptibility of coal to spontaneous combustion and fire. These methods may be sub-classified into the two following areas: (1) Basic coal characterisation studies (chemical constituents) and their influence on spontaneous combustion susceptibility. (2) Test methods to assess the susceptibility of a coal sample to spontaneous combustion. This is followed by a critical literature review that summarises previous research with special emphasis given to Indian coals
The Behavioral Roots of Information Systems Security:Exploring Key Factors Related to Unethical IT Use
Unethical information technology (IT) use, related to activities such as hacking, software piracy, phishing, and spoofing, has become a major security concern for individuals, organizations, and society in terms of the threat to information systems (IS) security. While there is a growing body of work on this phenomenon, we notice several gaps, limitations, and inconsistencies in the literature. In order to further understand this complex phenomenon and reconcile past findings, we conduct an exploratory study to uncover the nomological network of key constructs salient to this phenomenon, and the nature of their interrelationships. Using a scenario-based study of young adult participants, and both linear and nonlinear analyses, we uncover key nuances of this phenomenon of unethical IT use. We find that unethical IT use is a complex phenomenon, often characterized by nonlinear and idiosyncratic relationships between the constructs that capture it. Overall, ethical beliefs held by the individuals, along with economic, social, and technological considerations are found to be relevant to this phenomenon. In terms of practical implications, these results suggest that multiple interventions at various levels may be required to combat this growing threat to IS security
Natures of Statefinder Parameters and Om Diagnostic for Cardassian Universe in Horava-Lifshitz Gravity
In this work, we have considered Cardassian Universe in Horava-Lifshitz
gravity. Four types of Cardassian Universe models i.e., polytropic/power law,
modified polytropic, exponential and modified exponential models have been
considered for accelerating models. The natures of statefinder parameters,
deceleration parameter, Om diagnostic and EoS parameters have been investigated
for all types of Cardassian models in Horava-Lifshitz gravity.Comment: 11 page
New measurement of the rare decay with CMD-2
A new measurement of the rare decay \phi \to \eta' \gamma performed with the
CMD-2 detector at Novosibirsk is described. Of the data sample corresponding to
the integrated luminosity of 14.5 pb^{-1}, twenty one events have been selected
in the mode \eta'\to\pi^+\pi^-\eta, \eta\to\gamma\gamma. The following
branching ratio was obtained: B(\phi \to \eta' \gamma) = (8.2^{+2.1}_{-1.9} \pm
1.1) 10^{-5}.Comment: 12 pages, 4 figures, LaTe
