    We study the anyon statistics of a 2+12 + 1 dimensional Maxwell-Chern-Simons (MCS) gauge theory by using a systemmetic metheod, the Breit Hamiltonian formalism.Comment: 25 pages, LATE

    Two-electron bond-orbital model, 2

    Get PDF
    The two-electron bond-orbital model of tetrahedrally-coordinated solids is generalized and its application extended. All intrabond matrix elements entering the formalism are explicitly retained, including the direct overlap S between the anion and cation sp3 hybrid wavefunctions. Complete analytic results are obtained for the six two-electron eigenvalues and eigenstates of the anion-cation bond in terms of S, one-electron parameters V2 and V3, and two-electron correlation parameters V4, V5 and V6. Refined formulas for the dielectric constant and the nuclear exchange and pseudodipolar coefficients, as well as new expressions for the valence electron density, polarity of the bond and the cohesive energy, are then derived. The theory gives a good account of the experimentally observed trends in all properties considered and approximate quantitative agreement is achieved for the pseudodipolar coefficient

    This document defines an RTP Control Protocol (RTCP) Extended Report (XR) block that allows the reporting of burst/gap discard metrics independently of the burst/gap loss metrics for use in a range of RTP applications

    The Shape and Dimensionality of Phylogenetic Tree-Space Based on Mitochondrial Genomes

    Get PDF
    Phylogenetic analyses of large and diverse data sets generally result in large sets of competing phylogenetic trees. Consensus tree methods used to summarize sets of competing trees discard important information regarding the similarity and distribution of competing trees. A more fine grain approach is to use a dimensionality reduction method to project tree-to-tree distances in 2D or 3D space. In this study, we systematically evaluate the performance of several nonlinear dimensionality reduction (NLDR) methods on tree-to-tree distances obtained from independent nonparametric bootstrap analyses of genes from three mid- to large-sized mitochondrial genome alignments.

    CP violation in Bd,sl+lB_{d,s} \to l^+l^- in the model III 2HDM

    Full text link
    We have calculated the Wilson coefficients C10,CQiC_{10}, C_{Q_i} (i=1,2) in the MSˉ\bar{MS} renormalization scheme in the model III 2HDM. Using the obtained Wilson coefficients, we have analyzed the CP violation in decays Bq0l+lB^0_q\to l^+l^- (q=d,s) in the model. The CP asymmetry, ACPA_{CP}, depends on the parameters of models and ACPA_{CP} in Bdl+lB_d\to l^+l^- can be as large as 40% and 35% for l=τl=\tau and l=μl=\mu respectively. It can reach 4% for Bs0B^0_s decays. Because in SM CP violation is smaller than or equal to O(10310^{-3}) which is unobservably small, an observation of CP asymmetry in the decays Bq0l+l(q=d,s)B^0_q \to l^+l^- (q=d,s) would unambiguously signal the existence of new physics.Comment: revtex4, 16 pages, 7 figure

    Localization Transition in Incommensurate non-Hermitian Systems

    Full text link
    A class of one-dimensional lattice models with incommensurate complex potential V(θ)=2[λrcos(θ)+iλisin(θ)]V(\theta)=2[\lambda_r cos(\theta)+i \lambda_i sin(\theta)] is found to exhibit localization transition at λr+λi=1|\lambda_r|+|\lambda_i|=1. This transition from extended to localized states manifests in the behavior of the complex eigenspectum. In the extended phase, states with real eigenenergies have finite measure and this measure goes to zero in the localized phase. Furthermore, all extended states exhibit real spectrum provided λrλi|\lambda_r| \ge |\lambda_i|. Another novel feature of the system is the fact that the imaginary part of the spectrum is sensitive to the boundary conditions {\it only at the onset to localization}
