We include short and elementary proofs of two theorems characterizing reductive group schemes over a discrete valuation ring, in a slightly more general context.Comment: 10 pages. To appear in C. E. J.

Awareness, values and attitudes of user generated content website users and non-users towards privacy in Denmark : a qualitative study

    Get PDF
This document presents the Danish results of a qualitative study undertaken as part of the CONSENT project (work package 8). The analyses and results are based on a set of ten semi-structured in-depth interviews regarding the awareness, values and attitudes of user generated content (UGC) website users towards privacy. The respective interview guideline consisted of 27 questions and sub-questions. The selection of interviewees was aiming at a 8:2 split between UGC users and non-users (including two UGC (non-SNS) users), an even gender distribution, and a further split by location (urban/sub-urban/rural) and age group to ensure as wide a representation as possible. However, the data did not reveal any links between the respondents’ attitudes and their different gender, age or location, confirming the result from a quantitative study (CONSENT work package 7).CONSENT Consumer Sentiment regarding privacy on user generated content (UGC) services in the digital economy (G.A. 244643). The project was co-financed by the European Union within the Seventh Framework Programme (2007-2013).peer-reviewe

The integral monodromy of hyperelliptic and trielliptic curves

We compute the \integ/\ell and \integ_\ell monodromy of every irreducible component of the moduli spaces of hyperelliptic and trielliptic curves. In particular, we provide a proof that the \integ/\ell monodromy of the moduli space of hyperelliptic curves of genus gg is the symplectic group \sp_{2g}(\integ/\ell). We prove that the \integ/\ell monodromy of the moduli space of trielliptic curves with signature (r,s)(r,s) is the special unitary group \su_{(r,s)}(\integ/\ell\tensor\integ[\zeta_3])

The management of Phomopsis viticola in Tarnave vineyards

    Get PDF
Phomopsis viticola, in poorly managed vineyards, can produce a lot of damage due to its year-to-year infection pattern. In combination with a high spore reserve from the previous year, this causes reduced grape yields. This study aims to assess the Phomopsis viticola attack in Tarnave vineyards during May-July 2020. The data (frequency and intensity of the attack) was collected from Craciunelu de Jos, and the attack degree (AD) was calculated before and after the treatments applied to 'Saugvinon blanc', 'Riesling italian', 'Fetească regală' and 'Traminer roz' grapevine cultivars. The AD before the treatment with contact and systemic products had values between 27.80% and 4.10%, after the treatments of the first period (MayJune 2020) the AD was reduced at values between 3.40% and 0.83% and after the treatments of the second period (June-July 2020) the AD had the values between 9.00% and 12.40%. In Tarnave vineyards, 'Fetească regală', 'Sauvignion blanc' and Riesling italian cultivars have shown a higher susceptibility to the Phomopsis viticola attack and Traminer roz' a lower one. The fungicide treatments administrated were efficient in managing Phomopsis viticola in vineyards from Transylvania

HomeNet: a grid type system for home networking

    No full text
Moores law has meant that most households in the west countries own at least two perfectly functional computers. At the same time personal area networks are beginning to emerge, linking up mobile phones, PDAs,mp3/ogg,Vobis players, etc. These two types of small, local, single owner/administrator networks need an appropriate model of functionality and management to provide the users with the highest degree of functionality. This paper describes an effort to create a heterogamous networked system using Java and t JXTA project, model witch is based on clusters and grids concepts. The main function of the system is to allow central control of all peers from any peer and sharing of data resource. Another requirement is robustness and resilience to peer failure. The implementation and the test carried proved that a grid type model for home networking is a valid model
