Do the Environmental Approval Conditions Enable the Best Practice EIA Follow-up and Hence Strengthen the EIA System? An Indian Case Study Analysis
The environmental approval for a project is generally granted with a set of terms and conditions to the project proponent. The environmental clearance (EC) letters for 33 infrastructure projects were examined for the relevance, adequacy, and enforceability of the EC conditions. Using the basic tenets of the EIA process, it is found that the long list of irrelevant, inadequate, and unenforceable conditions is greenwash and unsuited for best practice EIA follow-up, hence meeting the EIA objectives. The conditions should be directed at measuring the environmental performance of the project to catalyze achieving sustainability targets. The conditions for stringent supervision and frequent inspection of the site activities in the construction phase could help ensure the implementation of the proposed mitigation measures for infrastructure projects. A comprehensive environmental impact assessment framework may use the principles of the ABC analysis to prioritize the properly specified EC conditions, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement for the best practice EIA follow-up and hence strengthen the EIA system

A microcomputer based traffic evacuation modeling system for emergency planning application
Vehicular evacuation is one of the major and often preferred protective action options available for emergency management in a real or anticipated disaster. We present the case of a 45-year-old female patient who harbored two
synchronous primary malignant neoplasms-an anaplastic oligodendroglioma
of the right frontal lobe and a squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue.
Both neoplasms were in advanced stage and carried a dismal prognosis.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first documentation in the

In the high speed optical communication, the requirement of designing the new optical transceivers is quite challenging due to the bandwidth, noise and environmental conditions for designing the optical transceivers. The optical transceivers design is also challenging because of weak optical signal at the frond-end amplifier. In this paper, the optical transceivers via an optical preamplifier for optical wireless communication is designed. The designed system offers the improved performance in terms of bandwidth and gain compared to existing optical transceivers. It is defined that using the designed system, a high bandwidth of 2.114GHz at 29.72dB gain is achieved. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance of the charcoal heart
We report a case of malignant melanoma metastasis to the heart presenting as complete heart block. The highlight of the case is to demonstrate that silent cardiac metastasis is not uncommon and CMR has the potential to characterize these cardiac metastases and should be used routinely as a screening tool for those cancers with a high chance of cardiac involvement
