    Anatomical causes of Costen’s syndrome

    Get PDF
On 108 skulls specimens with malocclusion and 30 skulls specimens with complete edentulism a comprehensive study of the morphometric characteristics of the articular surfaces of TMD joint was carried out. The peculiarities of petrotympanic fissure topography in various forms of the brain skull were also evaluated to establish the possible anatomical causes of Costen’s syndrom

Estimation of stabilometric indicators with a decrease in the interalveolar distance

    Get PDF
This paper presents the data of the estimation of stabilometric indicator in 293 patients with major dental diseases accompanied by a decrease in the interalveolar distance and 102 patients without signs of decreased occlusal vertical dimension. The cases with the habitual occlusion with signs of decreased occlusal vertical dimension show significant (P < 0.001) deterioration of the main indicators of the balance function. Optimization of the jaw relation has led to significant improvement of the coefficient of the equilibrium function and the area of the statokinesigram ellip

Software debugging methods of the multiprocessor computing system

The paper represents issues in creation and debugging of software for multiprocessor systems. The method of automatic error detection in systems with distributed memory is examined. The debugging method using JTAG is described. The paper also deals with the complex debugging technique of the two types of errors in multiprocessor control systems

Cytomorphometric indicators of the gingiva epitheliocytes of patients with ischemic heart disease on the background of taking acetylsalicylic acid

    Get PDF
The aim is to study the cytological and morphometric characteristics of gingiva epitheliocytes in patients with IHD who are constantly taking ASA drugs. To determine the dental status, 92 patients aged 40-60 years who are on outpatient treatment of IHD were examined. An in-depth scientific study was conducted and the results of cytomorphometric indicators of the gingiva epitheliocytes of patients with ischemic heart disease, constantly taking acetylsalicylic acid drugs, were presente

DYNAMIC EFFECTS IN THE BEAM ON AN ELASTIC FOUNDATION CAUSED BY THE SUDDEN TRANSFORMATION OF SUPPORTING CONDITIONS

    Get PDF
A mathematical model of a dynamic process in a loaded beam on an elastic Winkler base with the sudden formation of a defect in the form of a change in the boundary conditions is constructed. The solution of the static problem of bending of the beam fixed at the ends serves as the initial condition for the process of forced vibrations hinged supported at the ends of the beam, which arose after a sudden break in the bonds that prevented the rotation of the end sections. Dynamic increments of stresses in the beam for various combinations of beam and foundation parameters are determined. determined

Experimental study of direct photon emission in K- --> pi- pi0 gamma decay using ISTRA+ detector

The branching ratio in the charged-pion kinetic energy region of 55 to 90 MeV for the direct photon emission in the K- --> pi- pi0 gamma decay has been measured using in-flight decays detected with the ISTRA+ setup operating in the 25 GeV/c negative secondary beam of the U-70 PS. The value Br(DE)=[0.37+-0.39(stat)+-0.10(syst)]*10^(-5) obtained from the analysis of 930 completely reconstructed events is consistent with the average value of two stopped-kaon experiments, but it differs by 2.5 standard deviations from the average value of three in-flight-kaon experiments. The result is also compared with recent theoretical predictions.Comment: 13 pages, 8 figure

Transforming teacher education, an activity theory analysis

    Get PDF
This paper explores the work of teacher education in England and Scotland. It seeks to locate this work within conflicting socio-cultural views of professional practice and academic work. Drawing on an activity theory framework that integrates the analysis of these contradictory discourses with a study of teacher educators’ practical activities, including the material artefacts that mediate the work, the paper offers a critical perspective on the social organisation of university-based teacher education. Informed by Engeström’s activity theory concept of transformation, the paper extends the discussion of contradictions in teacher education to consider the wider socio-cultural relations of the work. The findings raise important questions about the way in which teacher education work within universities is organised and the division of labour between schools and universities
