In the present study, the results of investigation of physical properties of heterofullerides A3−xMxC60 (A=K, Rb, Cs, M=Be, Mg, Ca, Al, Fe, Tl, x=1,2); as well as RbCsTlC60, KCsTlC60, and KMg2C60 are described. All of the fullerides were synthesized by the exchange reactions of alkaline fullerides with anhydrous metal halides. Superconductivity was found in RbCsTlC60 and KCsTlC60

Computing Nash Equilibrium in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks: A Simulation-Based Approach

This paper studies the problem of computing Nash equilibrium in wireless networks modeled by Weighted Timed Automata. Such formalism comes together with a logic that can be used to describe complex features such as timed energy constraints. Our contribution is a method for solving this problem using Statistical Model Checking. The method has been implemented in UPPAAL model checker and has been applied to the analysis of Aloha CSMA/CD and IEEE 802.15.4 CSMA/CA protocols.Comment: In Proceedings IWIGP 2012, arXiv:1202.422

Mightyl: A compositional translation from mitl to timed automata

Metric Interval Temporal Logic (MITL) was first proposed in the early 1990s as a specification formalism for real-time systems. Apart from its appealing intuitive syntax, there are also theoretical evidences that make MITL a prime real-time counterpart of Linear Temporal Logic (LTL). Unfortunately, the tool support for MITL verification is still lacking to this day. In this paper, we propose a new construction from MITL to timed automata via very-weak one-clock alternating timed automata. Our construction subsumes the well-known construction from LTL to Büchi automata by Gastin and Oddoux and yet has the additional benefits of being compositional and integrating easily with existing tools. We implement the construction in our new tool MightyL and report on experiments using Uppaal and LTSmin as back-ends

Global Guidance for Local Generalization in Model Checking

SMT-based model checkers, especially IC3-style ones, are currently the most effective techniques for verification of infinite state systems. They infer global inductive invariants via local reasoning about a single step of the transition relation of a system, while employing SMT-based procedures, such as interpolation, to mitigate the limitations of local reasoning and allow for better generalization. Unfortunately, these mitigations intertwine model checking with heuristics of the underlying SMT-solver, negatively affecting stability of model checking. In this paper, we propose to tackle the limitations of locality in a systematic manner. We introduce explicit global guidance into the local reasoning performed by IC3-style algorithms. To this end, we extend the SMT-IC3 paradigm with three novel rules, designed to mitigate fundamental sources of failure that stem from locality. We instantiate these rules for the theory of Linear Integer Arithmetic and implement them on top of SPACER solver in Z3. Our empirical results show that GSPACER, SPACER extended with global guidance, is significantly more effective than both SPACER and sole global reasoning, and, furthermore, is insensitive to interpolation.Comment: Published in CAV 202

Immunological and biochemical parameters such as: Interleukin 1 and 2 (IL-1, IL-2), prostaglandin E and F2alfa levels, subpopulations of T-lymphocytes, the activity of elastase and collagenase were studied in patients with cryptogenic fibrosing alveolitis and pulmonary sarcoidosis. It was found that the immunoreactivity of the patients is characterized by high levels of the IL-1 and IL-2 activity and the T-lymphocyte subpopulation disbalance. High levels of elastase and collagenase in bronchoalveolar fluid in these patients were detected.

We studied the phagocytic activity of alveolar macrophages and neutrophils in the peripheric blood and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) in 37 patients affected with chronic obstructive bronchitis (COB) and healthy persons to determine the activity of elastase and collagenase in BALF cells and their supernate. The peripheric blood of COB patients revealed normal neutrophilic and monocytic phagocytosis, while the monocytes of complementary pulmonary emphysematous patients revealed an increased absorbing activity.BALF demonstrated an acute depression of alveolar macrophagal phagocytosis, which a remission of the inflammatory process raised close to normal only with persons not affected with pulmonary emphysema. COB patients revealed increased activities of elastase and collagenase both in an acute inflammatory process and during remissions. COB patients not affected with pulmonary emphysema displayed the greatest activity increase of elastase.
