    Super edge-magic deficiency of join-product graphs

    A graph GG is called \textit{super edge-magic} if there exists a bijective function ff from V(G)∪E(G)V(G) \cup E(G) to {1,2,…,∣V(G)∪E(G)∣}\{1, 2, \ldots, |V(G) \cup E(G)|\} such that f(V(G))={1,2,…,∣V(G)∣}f(V(G)) = \{1, 2, \ldots, |V(G)|\} and f(x)+f(xy)+f(y)f(x) + f(xy) + f(y) is a constant kk for every edge xyxy of GG. Furthermore, the \textit{super edge-magic deficiency} of a graph GG is either the minimum nonnegative integer nn such that G∪nK1G \cup nK_1 is super edge-magic or +∞+\infty if there exists no such integer. \emph{Join product} of two graphs is their graph union with additional edges that connect all vertices of the first graph to each vertex of the second graph. In this paper, we study the super edge-magic deficiencies of a wheel minus an edge and join products of a path, a star, and a cycle, respectively, with isolated vertices.Comment: 11 page

    This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of transformational leadership and job satisfaction on organizational commitment. Data was collected through questionnaires to 70 employees spread hotel. This study used a sample saturated with spread questionnaires to 70 employees as a respondent. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the path (path analysis). The results showed that transformational leadership is directly significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Transformational leadership has a significant positive direct effect on organizational commitment. Neither job satisfaction has a significant positive direct effect on organizational commitment

    Pelatihan Double Leg Bound 10 Repetisi 5 Set Meningkatkan Daya Ledak Otot Tungkai Siswa Putra Kelas VIII D SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016

    Pelatihan olahraga merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan kondisi kesehatan fisik, disiplin dan sportivitas. Kemampuan yang perlu ditingkatkan dalam olahraga salah satunya adalah daya ledak otot tungkai. Peningkatan daya ledak otot tungkai dapat terjadi dengan melakukan latihan double leg bound. Double leg bound adalah latihan yang dilakukan dengan cara meloncat kedepan dengan 2 tungkai diangkat sampai setinggi dada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pelatihan double leg bound dapat meningkatkan daya ledak otot tungkai siswa putra kelas VIII D SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan experimental randomized pretestand post-test groups design. Populasi diambil dari keseluruhan siswa putra kelas VIII D SMP PGRI 5 Denpasar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 62 orang siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian didapatkan rata-rata tes awal daya ledak otot tungkai pada kelompok perlakuan yaitu, 32,660 dan rata-rata tes akhir yaitu 39,087. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol rata-rata tes awal yaitu 32,927 dan rata-rata tes akhir yaitu 38,193. Bersadarkan uji t-test independent didapat bahwa beda rerata hasil pre test antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,267 dengan hasil p lebih besar dari 0,05 (p > 0.05) yang menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang bermakna dari hasil pre test antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol, sedangkan beda rerata hasil post test antara pelatihan double leg bound pada kelompok perlakuan dengan pelatihan alternate leg bound pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 0,894 dengan hasil p lebih besar dari 0,05 (p > 0.05) yang menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna dari hasil post test antara kelompok perlakuan dengan kelompok kontrol. Berdasarkan penelitian diatas disarankan agar latihan double leg bound dan alternate leg bound sebagai salah satu latihan untuk meningkatkan daya ledah otot tungkai

    AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF PURPLE SWEET POTATO INCREASED SOD-2, AND SOD-3 EXPRESSION ON HUMAN UMBILICAL VEIN ENDOTHELIAL CELLS IN VITRO

    Oxidative stress is thought to be one of the causes of impaired function of vascular endothelial cells, causing a variety of cardiovascular disorders. Studies in various animal experiments proved the aqueous extract of purple sweet potato tuber has antioxidant potential, through the mechanism of enhancement of endogenous antioxidants such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), that protects endothelial cells from oxidative stress. Effect of aqueous extract of purple sweet potato tuber in  increasing SOD has not been proven in human vascular endothelial cells. This study aims to prove whether aqueous extract of purple sweet potato tuber may increase the expression of SOD-2 and SOD-3 in human vascular endothelium. This research was an experimental study on umbilical vein endothelial cells experiencing oxidative stress created by administering H2O2 in vitro, and protected with aqueous extract of purple sweet potato tuber at various concentrations. Observation of the SOD-2 and SOD-3 on endothelial cells was done by using immunohystochemestry with monoclonal antibodies. The results showed a significant (p < 0.05) increase  in SOD-2 and SOD-3 on endothelial protected with   aqueous extract of purple sweet potato tuber at concentration of 1.5625- 3.125 µg/ml for SOD-2 and at concentration of 1.5625- 25µg/ml for SOD-3. From these results it can be concluded that the aqueous extract of purple sweet potato tuber could protect endothelial cells from oxidative stress through increasing  expression of SOD-2 and SOD-3.     The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of corn fodder on intake and fiber digestibility, volatile fatty acid and blood glucose concentration  of weaned Ongole x Brahman calves. This experiment followed a 4x4 latin square design with four treatments, i.e. G : 100% nature grass silage, GCF1 : 35% nature grass silage, 35% corn fodder silage and 30% concentrate, GCF2 : 17,5% nature grass silage, 52,5% corn fodder and 30% concentrate, GCF3 : 70% corn fodder and 30% concentrate. The measured variables included fiber intake and digestibility, volatile fatty acid and blood glucose concentration. Data were subjected to Analysis of Variance (Anova) followed by Duncan Multiple Range Test to separate between means with SPSS 21. Result showed that fiber intake was significantly (P<0,05) lower in GCF3 (299,88 g.d-1) compared to the other treatments which varied between 661,55 to 1293,95 g.d-1. Fiber digestibility, however, did not differ (P>0,05) between treatments, i.e. varied between 55,95 to 72,65%. Volatile Fatty Acid concentration increased (P<0,05) with the increasing  levels substitutions of corn fodder in feed. The treatments did not affect (P>0,05) blood glucose concentration of Ongole calves. It can be concluded that substitution of corn fodder for native grass silage has significant effect on fiber intake and Volatile Fatty Acid concentration but not on fiber digestibility and blood glucose  concentration of weaned cross Ongole calves

Various kinds of payment methods can be integrated into the system making it easier for customers to make payments according to orders made. The tourism village of Tri Eka Buana Sidemen Karangasem Bali, can take advantage of this online payment system to help tourism village operations in the future. The development of this online payment system can be developed by building a tourism village website, adding ecommerce facilities to the website that has been built, registering and activating one of the payment gateway services, and integrating the Tri Eka Buana tourism village website with a payment gateway service

    SUPPLEMENTATION WITH 2:1 RATIO OF N-6:N-3 POLYUNSATURATED FATTY ACID IMPROVES LIVER STEATOSIS AND SERUM CYTOKINE LEVELS IN YOUNG OBESE BALINESE WOMEN: A RANDOMIZED CLINICAL TRIAL

      Objectives: In addition to the rise in obesity prevalence globally, morbidity due to nonalcoholic fatty liver disease is increasing. Primary modalities for preventing and managing this problem include dietary modification and improved physical activities. A daily diet with a low n-6:n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) ratio is suspected to contribute to ameliorating liver steatosis (LS). The present study was conducted to elucidate the effects of an n-6:n-3 PUFA ratio of 2:1 in alleviating LS.Methods: Twenty-four young obese women with LS were recruited from Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. They were randomly allocated to an intervention or control group. Both groups were given linoleic acid:α-linolenic acid at ratios of 2035:970 and 240:100 g, respectively, for 12 weeks. Baseline and end-line data were obtained. All patients were advised to maintain their daily energy intake no more than 1500 kcal and to perform structured physical exercises once a week.Results: The intervention significantly decreased the body fat (body mass index, p=0.040; triglyceride, p=0.008) and serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) levels (p=0.002) and increased serum interleukin-10 (IL-10) levels (p=0.004). The severity of LS was reduced through the intervention (odds ratio=0.064; 95% confidence interval=0.013-0.310; p=0.001).Conclusion: An increased intake of 2:1 n-6:n-3 PUFA ratio alleviated LS, decreased body fat composition and serum TNF-α levels, and increased serum IL-10 levels
