Development of an Intelligent System for IoT using Web Services and Cyber Physical Approaches
The Internet of Things (IoT) is changing the way we perceive information. It has inspired solutions for a variety of everyday problems. With the advent of IoT, the internet will house several ldquointelligent ldquoobjects capable of making their own decisions and communicate with each other in an efficient manner. Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) represent a new paradigm of future intelligent systems. They consist of loosely coupled subsystems which interact with mechanisms of Service oriented Architecture (SoA). One of the most important goals for many organizations is to satisfy their clientsrsquo service level agreements with respect to the response time and throughput. Web services are one of the popular technologies to achieve SOA solutions.Web service is a very important candidate technology to achieve SOA requirements that allows the service providers to publish their services to many service consumers.

Pedestrian Trajectory Prediction with Structured Memory Hierarchies
This paper presents a novel framework for human trajectory prediction based
on multimodal data (video and radar). Motivated by recent neuroscience
discoveries, we propose incorporating a structured memory component in the
human trajectory prediction pipeline to capture historical information to
improve performance. We introduce structured LSTM cells for modelling the
memory content hierarchically, preserving the spatiotemporal structure of the
information and enabling us to capture both short-term and long-term context.
We demonstrate how this architecture can be extended to integrate salient
information from multiple modalities to automatically store and retrieve
important information for decision making without any supervision. We evaluate
the effectiveness of the proposed models on a novel multimodal dataset that we
introduce, consisting of 40,000 pedestrian trajectories, acquired jointly from
a radar system and a CCTV camera system installed in a public place. The
performance is also evaluated on the publicly available New York Grand Central
pedestrian database. In both settings, the proposed models demonstrate their
capability to better anticipate future pedestrian motion compared to existing

Predicting pilot error on the flight deck: Validation of a new methodology and a multiple methods and analysts approach to enhancing error prediction sensitivity
The Human Error Template (HET) is a recently developed methodology for predicting designed induced pilot error. This article describes a validation study undertaken to compare the performance of HET against three contemporary Human Error Identification (HEI) approaches when used to predict pilot errors for an approach and landing task and also to compare individual analyst error predictions to an approach to enhancing error prediction sensitivity: the multiple analysts and methods approach, whereby multiple analyst predictions using a range of HEI technique are pooled. The findings indicate that, of the four methodologies used in isolation, analysts using the HET methodology offered the most accurate error predictions, and also that the multiple analysts and methods approach was more successful overall in terms of error prediction sensitivity than the three other methods but not the HET approach. The results suggest that when predicting design induced error, it is appropriate to use domain specific approaches and also a toolkit of different HEI approaches and multiple analysts in order to heighten error prediction sensitivity

We study whether a multivariate Lévy-driven moving average process can shadow arbitrarily closely any continuous path, starting from the present value of the process, with positive conditional probability, which we call the conditional small ball property. Our main results establish the conditional small ball property for Lévy-driven moving average processes under natural non-degeneracy conditions on the kernel function of the process and on the driving Lévy process. We discuss in depth how to verify these conditions in practice. As concrete examples, to which our results apply, we consider fractional Lévy processes and multivariate Lévy-driven Ornstein–Uhlenbeck processes

The VoIP-enabled speech server can also include a VoIP compliant call control interface to the VoIP telephony gate server, the VoIP-compliant call control interface establishing the VoIP communications path. In operation, the speech application can receive VoIP-compliant packets from the VoIP telephony gate Way server over the VoIP communications path. Subsequently, digitized audio data can be reconstructed from the VoIP-compliant packets, and the digitized audio data can be speech-to-text converted. Additionally, text can be synthesized into digitized audio data and the digitized audio data can be encapsulated in VoIP-compliant packets which can be transmitted over the VoIP communications path to the telephony gate Way server.
