Convection naturelle thermique et solutale entre enceintes parallélépipédiques avec transvasement

Une étude numérique de la convection naturelle thermique et massique avec transvasement entre deux enceintes est présentée. Ce transvasement s'effectue dès que les régimes permanents des écoulements aux seins des enceintes considérées confinées sont établis. Les équations qui régissent les transferts au sein des enceintes contenant les air 1 et 2 sont couplées à celles des transferts par conduction, radiatifs et convectifs avec le milieu extérieur et celles régissant la diffusion de vapeur d'eau et du flux de densité uniforme appliquée à la base de la paroi inférieure de l'enceinte contenant l'air 1. Le transvasement s'effectue dès lors que les régimes permanents des écoulements des air 1 et 2 au sein d'espace considérés confinés sont établis.La discrétisation des équations est basée sur la méthode des volumes finis et le couplage vitesse-pression est effectué à l'aide de l'algorithme SIMPLER Mots clés : Convection naturelle, Transfert de chaleur et de masse, Volumes fini

Coupling FEM and symmetric BEM for dynamic interaction of dam-reservoir systems

International audienceA numerical model coupling boundary and finite elements suitable for dynamic dam-reservoir interaction is presented herein. This model involves standard finite element idealization of the dam structure displacements and a new symmetric boundary element formulation of the unbounded reservoir domain leading to an equivalent symmetric stiffness matrix for the discretized pressure field. These two basic parts of the computation are directly coupled by imposing an equilibrium condition at the fluid-structure interface, then the resulting algebraic system is reduced by localizing the coupled terms in the global mass matrix such as usually achieved in the added-mass formulation. Finally, the performance and the accuracy of this model are examined by comparing its results to those obtained from three other numerical models
