© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. The paper describes a high power supply for Argon and Nitrogen plasma torches. A high frequency was used in order to drive the pulse width modulation circuit. The average output current consumption (AOCC) was modified from 20A up to 80A by increasing the pulse width from 2μsec up to 3μsec for Argon gas plasma torches. The (AOCC) was reduced from 70A down to 25A by increasing the pulse width from 6μsec up to 8μsec in the case of Nitrogen gas plasma torches

The effect of electrically conductive additives on the plasma pyrolysis of heavy hydrocarbons

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. It's shown that the electric discharge initiation of in-situ combustion can be executed by entering conductive additives to hydrocarbon raw materials. It is observed, that the most of all the soot is formed from aromatic hydrocarbons during the plasma pyrolysis. Cracking of hydrocarbons by electric discharge, with conducting additives and precursors of catalysts, leads to formation of carbon and metal nanoparticles

Is dermatoglyphics an object of scientific research or not?

The versatility of human nature implies a great difficulty in its comprehending and determines many methods and approaches to its study. Dermatoglyphics is one of such methods, that studies the structure of the skin patterns of palmar and plantar surfaces of the hands and feet. This article reviews data related to finger dermatoglyphics informativity in various scientific disciplines. Dermatoglyphic patterns are formed under the influence of environmental factors and polygenic hereditary factors. Signs of papillary patterns are also determined by polygenic factors that are inherited from parents. Like any hereditary traits, they can mutate. Mutations and hereditary diseases accompanied by damaging of the genetic code, as a rule, manifest in the phenotype and in the characteristics of dermatoglyphs. Informativity and lability of dermatoglyphic pattern allows to use it as a factor – indicator of susceptibility to a particular disease with hereditary component. Currently, in sports genetics, dermatological markers of the fingers are also widely used to determine individual predisposition to a certain motor activity and sports talent. Study of combinations of types of patterns of dermatoglyphic characteristics of the toes, as well as the analysis of finger and plantar lines, types of dermatological patterns of the foot, allows using the foot dermatoglyphics as the additional marker of a genetic predisposition to a particular sport. As a constitutional marker the dermatoglyphics has prerequisites for predicting manifestations of a person’s individuality in all its diversity of physical, physiological and mental properties. Attempts to identify the informativity of finger dermatoglyphics in the field of professional selection were made earlier by representatives of various sports

Buck circuit with a high frequency pulse width modulation control and very fast MOSFET transistor were used for switching. For Argon (Ar) gas Plasma Torches, and by increasing the pulse width, the average output voltage has modified from 80 V up to 100 V. The frequency of the designed step down converter was steady at 20 KHz

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.Low-temperature plasma modification of LiYF4 crystal surface in Helium atmosphere caused microhardness decreasing and increasing of roughness of crystal surface. The change of microhardness and morphology is a possible result of Fluorine outgoing from material structure due to heating of surface and plasma chemical reactions and ingoing of Oxygen. As a result of exchange and diffusion processes crystal surface structure become more crumbly, its morphology and mechanical properties change

© 2018 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved. At present, known methods of direct conversion of the chemical energy of gaseous fuels to electrical energy are not so effective. This work is directed to developing the setup for experimental study of the gas ionization processes in the pulsating mode of combustion. This problem being solve for the first time. As result, schematic diagram and methodological recommendations will be developed which will be subsequently used for experimental studies

Impaired carbohydrate tolerance as a risk factor for ischemic heart disease among the population of the Fergana Valley of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In the Fergana Valley of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where about 70% of the population is engaged in agriculture, epidemiological studies on IHD in connection with the combination of risk factors among rural men and women of working age have not been carried out, which makes it impossible to fully assess the epidemiological situation in our region. The aim of the research was to study the epidemiological conditions in relation to IHD in connection with ICT and other risk factors. To identify IHD and risk factors, we chose a continuous method of epidemiological examination using the Rose questionnaire, blood pressure measurements, ECG decoding according to the Minnesota code, glucose tolerance test, anthropometric and biochemical studies. When analyzing the prevalence of IHD in the quintile distribution of risk factors among men and women, a high correlation was found with an increase in blood glucose levels on an empty stomach and 2 hours after exercise. To determine the group for the prevention of IHD, we used a logistic model that allows us to calculate the individual risk, considering the presence and potential of risk factors. Evaluation of the informativeness of each risk factor showed that both in men and women, ICT has the highest prognostic value for IHD. In a mass survey of the rural population of the Fergana Valley, to identify IHD and the contingent “threatened” in relation to IHD, it is necessary to widely conduct a carbohydrates tolerance test

Assessment of the efficiency of the local application of hemostatic drug Geprocel in the treatment of patients with deep burns

The work is based on the analysis of the treatment results of 35 patients with burn trauma (10 women and 25 men) aged 15 to 55 years who were treated in the burn department of Republican Scientific Centre of Urgent Medical Aid (RSCUMA) between 2017 and 2018. In this study, we report on the use of the hemostatic preparation Geprocel with an autodermoplasty on a wound after necroectomy with subsequent autodermoplasty in all cases contributed to the complete healing of donor sites for 7 days, and the complete engraftment of the skin autotransplant with full recovery of the defect by 12 days after surgery. This preliminary data suggests the potential role of Geprocel in the clinical management of burn treatment. The work is based on the analysis of the treatment results of 35 patients with burn trauma (10 women and 25 men) aged 15 to 55 years who were treated in the burn department of Republican Scientific Centre of Urgent Medical Aid (RSCUMA) between 2017 and 2018.
