Photoluminiscence of a quantum dot hybridized with a continuum
We calculate the intensity of photon emission from a trion in a single
quantum dot, as a function of energy and gate voltage, using the impurity
Anderson model and variational wave functions. Assuming a flat density of
conduction states and constant hybridization energy, the results agree with the
main features observed in recent experiments: non-monotonic dependence of the
energy on gate voltage, non-Lorentzian line shapes, and a line width that
increases near the regions of instability of the single electron final state to

Polariton-mediated Raman scattering in microcavities: A Green's function approach
We present calculations of the intensity of polariton-mediated inelastic
light scattering in semiconductor microcavities within a Green's function
framework. In addition to reproducing the strong coupling of light and matter,
this method also enables the inclusion of damping mechanisms in a consistent
way. Our results show excellent agreement with recent Raman scattering

Preventive plan hamstring in football kid
El propósito de nuestro estudio es trabajar en un programa de prevención de lesiones en isquiotibiales en jóvenes futbolistas de la etapa infantil (13-14 años), realizando un pretest a todos los sujetos (4 grupos), aplicando un entrenamiento de ADM isquiotibial diferente, y volviendo a hacer un posterior postest transcurridas 10 semanas de entrenamientos, para comprobar qué grupo mejora más trasladando esas mejoras al entrenamiento específico.
Para llevar a cabo nuestro estudio hemos requerido 44 jugadores de la categoría infantil. La muestra se clasificó por grupo trabajo por pareja (n1=13), trabajo en parejas + trabajo excéntrico (Hamstrings Nordics) (n2=10), trabajo SGA (n3=7) y trabajo SGA + trabajo excéntrico (Hamstrings Nordics) (n4=14), siendo cada grupo un equipo diferente. Los resultados obtenidos de este estudio son que con cualquier tipo de entrenamiento de ADM vamos a mejorar esta cualidad, sin grandes diferencias entre los diferentes grupos

On 11 January 2008, Team Captain & Director General of ICRISAT William D Dar came up with the memorable phrase ‘The Smart Revolution’ over a nice lunch in Quezon City with me and Special Consultant Santiago R Obien of the Department of Agriculture, Philippines. Below is Dar’s speech during the Annual Day celebration on 16 December 2008, at ICRISAT Patancheru campus in Andhra Pradesh, India, where the Distinguished Guest was American Consul General in Hyderabad Cornelis M Keur. The address gives a bird’s eye-view of the accomplishments of the Institute in 2008 and its plans for the coming years. It calls for Team ICRISAT to constantly reinvent itself even as it continues to wage The Smart Revolution for the small farmers and the poor in the semi-arid tropics
