The Loss Causation Requirement for Rule 10B-5 Causes of Action: The Implications of Dura Pharmaceuticals v. Broudo
In order to have recoverable damages in a Rule 10b-5 action, plaintiffs must establish loss causation, i.e. that the actionable misconduct was the cause of economic losses to the plaintiffs. The requirement of loss causation has come to the fore as the result of the Supreme Court's landmark decision in Dura Pharmaceuticals v. Broudo. We address in this paper a number of loss causation issues in light of the Dura decision, including issues surrounding the proper use of event studies to establish recoverable damages, the requirement that there be a corrective disclosure, what types of disclosure should count as a corrective disclosure, post-corrective disclosure stock price movements, the distinction between the class period and the damage period, collateral damage caused by a corrective disclosure, and forward-casting estimates of recoverable damages

An icon of Gothic literature and forerunner of vampire lore, Dracula is credited as being inspired by Stoker’s nightmare after eating a particularly rich crab dinner. It’s also evident that he was influenced by other British invasion tales, LeFanu’s tale “Carmilla,” and The Woman in White. However, no work is evident as of yet about the possibility of Dracula being influenced by fairy tales, specifically “Little Red Riding Hood” in structure, themes, and characters.
This essay will be considering Dracula’s background, why Stoker wrote it and its Victorian influences. Then I will examine Bettelheim’s fairy tale structure as it applies to Dracula; how the themes of both pieces compare, and lastly, compare the characters between the two pieces. Using both primary texts and other researchers who have approached these two novels utilizing a socio-historical aspect, I will synthesize and prove how “Little Red Riding Hood” was a forerunner and influence to Dracula. This will be the first of its kind and potentially start a new scholarly conversation for Dracula

Investigation of the Gravitational Potential Dependence of the Fine-Structure Constant Using Atomic Dysprosium
Radio-frequency E1 transitions between nearly degenerate, opposite parity
levels of atomic dysprosium were monitored over an eight month period to search
for a variation in the fine-structure constant. During this time period, data
were taken at different points in the gravitational potential of the Sun. The
data are fitted to the variation in the gravitational potential yielding a
value of for the fit parameter . This
value gives the current best laboratory limit. In addition, our value of
combined with other experimental constraints is used to extract
the first limits on k_e and k_q. These coefficients characterize the variation
of m_e/m_p and m_q/m_p in a changing gravitational potential, where m_e, m_p,

Conceptual designs of V/STOL lift fan commercial short haul transport aircraft for the 1980-85 time period were studied to determine their technical and economic feasibility. The engine concepts included both integral and remote fans. The scope of the study included definition of the hover control concept for each propulsion system, aircraft design, aircraft mass properties, cruise performance, noise and ride qualities evaluation. Quantum Scattering in Two Black Hole Moduli Space
We discuss the quantum scattering process in the moduli space consisting of
two maximally charged dilaton black holes. The black hole moduli space geometry
has different structures for arbitrary dimensions and various values of dilaton
coupling. We study the quantum effects of the different moduli space geometries
with scattering process. Then, it is found that there is a resonance state on

Choreography, controversy and child sex abuse: Theoretical reflections on a cultural criminological analysis of dance in a pop music video
This article was inspired by the controversy over claims of ‘pedophilia!!!!’ undertones and the ‘triggering’ of memories of childhood sexual abuse in some viewers by the dance performance featured in the music video for Sia’s ‘Elastic Heart’ (2015). The case is presented for acknowledging the hidden and/or overlooked presence of dance in social scientific theory and cultural studies and how these can enhance and advance cultural criminological research. Examples of how these insights have been used within other disciplinary frameworks to analyse and address child sex crime and sexual trauma are provided, and the argument is made that popular cultural texts such as dance in pop music videos should be regarded as significant in analysing and tracing public perceptions and epistemologies of crimes such as child sex abuse
