    We investigate a semilinear modification for the wave map problem proposed by Adkins and Nappi, and prove that in the equivariant case the solution remain continuous at the first possible singularity

    Reverend Raymond Adkins was born on May 15, 1910, in Louisa, Kentucky. His family moved to West Virginia in 1911. Rev. Adkins had many vocations including working in coal mining, teaching, school administration as a principal, participating in politics, and being a member of the clergy. In his interview, Rev. Adkins discusses the characteristics of Appalachia and Appalachian people and culture. He focuses on one room school houses, Marshall College, Kermit, West Virginia, and Mingo County, West Virginia. Mrs. Mabel Adkins, born September 2, 1909, began working at the Owens glass plant in the early 1930\u27s as a selector packing bottles. In this interview, Mrs. Adkins tells stories about how she was hired, working conditions in the 1930\u27s, the absences of blacks, discrimination against women, and the absence of a union for the workers. Furthermore, Mrs. Adkins talks about her life during the Great Depression and how the Owens factory was a great job opportunity at that time.     Ouachita to host cellist Christopher Adkins on Nov. 9 as part of Guest Artist Series

    Ouachita Baptist University will host cellist Christopher Adkins in concert Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in McBeth Recital Hall. Adkins’ performance is part of Ouachita’s Guest Artist Series and is funded through a gift from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Principal Chair Endowment Program. The recital is free and open to the public; masks are required inside the auditorium due to COVID-19. Adkins held positions with the Milwaukee, Denver and New Haven symphonies before joining the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as principal cellist and Fannie & Stephen S. Kahn Chair. As the longtime cellist and conductor of contemporary music group Voices of Change, Adkins was nominated for a Grammy award for the group’s “Voces Americanas.” He serves as an adjunct professor of cello in the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas

    Madeline Adkins, in September 2016, assumed her new post as Concertmaster of Utah Symphony under Maestro Thierry Fischer. She made her concerto debut with Utah Symphony in November 2016, performing Prokofiev\u27s Violin Concerto No. 2. Prior to this, Adkins was the Associate Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She was appointed by Maestro Yuri Temirkanov in 2005, after joining the orchestra as Assistant Concertmaster in 2000. Adkins appeared semi-annually as soloist with the BSO, and performed over 25 works with the orchestra including pieces by Beethoven, Sarasate, Vaughan Williams, Bach, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Prokofiev, Vivaldi, Bruch, Saint-Saens, and Arvo Part. She has served as guest concertmaster of the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Oregon Symphony, and the Grant Park Symphony Orchestra in Chicago, where she was featured in Beethoven\u27s Missa So/emnis. The daughter of noted musicologists, Adkins is the youngest of eight children, six of whom are professional musicians. The siblings, who include titled players in the National, Dallas, and Houston symphonies, joined together to form the Adkins String Ensemble. She performed on viola and violin with this unique chamber ensemble for over 15 years, and the group has made numerous recordings, including Schoenberg\u27s Verklorte Nacht. Adkins received her Bachelor\u27s summa cum laude from the University of North Texas and her Master\u27s degree from the New England Conservatory where she studied with James Buswell. Adkins performs on a 1753 Guadagnini graciously loaned to her by conductor Marin Alsop, as well as a violin crafted in 1987 by Brooklyn maker Samuel Zygmuntowicz.https://digitalcommons.usu.edu/music_programs/1087/thumbnail.jp
