오늘날 사회주의의 국가들의 잇따른 붕괴와 위기는 곧 그들의 사상적 지주였던 맑스주의 철학 및 과학의 위기로 이어진다. 이런 상황에서 "맑스주의 교의는 진리이기때문에 전능하다"는 레닌의말은 하나의 지나친 독단에 불과하다. 누구나 절감하는 바이지만 맑스주의의 재반성과 갱신의 노력이 요구되는 시기이다. 사회주의의 위기를 낳았던 원인들에 대해서는 다양한 관점에서 다양한 이해가 있을 수 있다. 그러나 필자는 마르크스주의의 위기가 마르크스주의가 드러내는 역사이해의 불명료함과 애매성에서 그 뿌리를 찾을 수 있다는 문제의식에서 출발하고자 한다

Exposure of organic solvent mixtures and subjective symptoms to nail-shop workers

산업보건학과/석사[한글] 네일샵(nail shop)에서 근무하는 근로자는 하루 중 10시간 이상을 각종 유기용제에 노출되고 있다. 그러나 근로자뿐 아니라 자신의 개성을 위해 네일샵을 찾는 손님들은 이러한 유기용제에 대해 크게 인식하지 못하고 있으며, 만성적인 노출에 의한 건강문제에 대해서도 인식하지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 네일샵에서 발생되는 유기용제 농도와 이로 인한 근로자들의 자각증상에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하기 위하여 수행되었다. 본 연구는 네일샵의 유기용제의 노출정도와 근로자들의 자각증상을 2008년 1월 18～3월 18일까지 대도시에 위치한 10개 네일샵의 근로자 31명을 대상으로 작업환경 중 유기용제 농도를 개인시료포집기로 측정하였고, 근로자들의 자각증상정도를 자기기입식 설문지로 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 종사자는 대부분 여성이었으며, 평균연령은 25.6세, 평균적으로 2.6년을 근무하였고, 1일 평균 근로시간은 9.8시간이었다. 둘째, 네일샵 내의 공기 중 유해물질 기하평균농도는 아세톤 7.48ppm, 에틸아세테이트 0.18ppm, 에틸벤젠 0.10ppm, 톨루엔 0.08ppm, 테트라하이드로퓨란 0.01ppm 순이었다. 셋째, 혼합유기용제 노출농도의 수치가 1을 초과하는 것은 없었다. 넷째, 최근 1개월 내에 자각증상으로 인한 근무시간 단축과 작업강도 단축의 경우로 보아 최근 업무환경이 크게 변경되지 않은 것으로 보여 졌다. 직업과 관련한 과거 질병력의 조사 결과 알러지, 피부병, 천식, 가족의 호흡기질환 및 암의 유경험자는 2～6명으로 조사되었다. 다섯째, 네일샵 근로자들이 작업 시 느끼는 자각증상으로 ‘무기력 및 피로’의 경우 31명(100%)으로 가장 높은 증상호소율을 나타냈고, ‘두통’은 거의 없음이 3명(9.7%)으로 가장 낮은 빈도를 보였으며, 모든 항목에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.00). 여섯째, 작업량에 따른 공기 중 유기용제의 농도는 테트라하이드로퓨란과 톨루엔의 경우 일 근무시간에 영향을 받고 있었고, 이 외 다른 물질과 변수 간에는 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 일곱째, 네일샵 내의 공기 중 각각의 물질들의 농도 간에 실시한 상관성 분석은 양(+)의 상관관계와 음(-)의 상관관계를 모두 나타내고 있었다 . 이 중 아세톤, 톨루엔, 테트라하이드로퓨란, 에틸아세테이트의 농도와 근무시간은 높은 상관관계를 보였지만, 상대적으로 에틸벤젠은 낮은 상관관계를 보였다. [영문] Along with changes in modern society, much attention is paid to manicure; however, it cannot be denied that nail shop workers are exposed to relatively harsh working environments. Especially, as nail shop workers overuse harmful materials to a certain part of the body, work irregularly, and are exposed to various chemicals such as cosmetics and acetone, their health conditions are affected directly and indirectly by their working environments, which can lead to vocational disorder. Therefore, in this study, from January 18 to March 18, 2008, along with their sex, smoking habits, drinking habits, and work experience, 31 workers at 10 nail shops in large cities are surveyed for subjective symptoms and past clinical history. The result of this study is summarized as follows. First, most of the nail shop workers are female, their average age is 25.61; they have worked for 2.6 years; and their average daily working hours are 9.8 hours. Second, the geometrical mean concentrations of harmful materials in the air of nail shops are 7.48ppm of acetone, 0.18ppm of acetoacetate, 0.10ppm of ethylbenzene, 0.08ppm of toluene, and 0.01ppm of tetrahydrofurane. Third, there is no one whose exposure index to mixed organic solvents is over 1. Fourth, their working environments haven't been changed much considering their working hours or work intensity decreased by their subjective symptoms in recent one month. There are 2~6 workers who have or whose family members have allergy, skin diseases, asthma, respiratory diseases or cancer. Fifth, the most common subjective systems are lethargy and fatigue with 31 nail shop workers (100%). A headache is the least felt symptom with 3 nail shop workers (9.7%). They show a statistically meaningful difference in every item (p<0.00). Sixth, the concentrations of tetrahydrofurane and toluene are affected by daily working hours and the concentrations of other materials don't have meaningful differences. Seventh, correlation analyses on concentrations in the air of the nail shops show both positive and negative correlations. The concentrations of acetone, toluene, tetrahydrofurane have high correlations with working hours, but the concentration of ethylbenzene has a relatively low correlation with working hours.ope
