With the special attention to the effects of Non-cognitive abilities, the research model was set up with other explanatory variables such as socioeconomic status, friend relationships, the extent of employment-oriented private tutoring, SAT score and so on. The results show that Non-cognitive abilities have a positive influence on labor market outcome, together with variables like SAT score and overseas language course experience. On the other hand, family background has indirect effect on the labor market outcome through the mediation effects from other variables, although it does not have direct effect. These findings highlight the importance of non-cognitive abilities in the successful working life. They also imply that higher education institutions need to offer various employment supporting programs enhancing non-cognitive abilities
