The paper aims to illuminate the peculiar characteristics of the Occupy Wall Street (2011) within the context of the New Social Movement. At first, the Occupy Wall Street is a 21st-century self-limiting revolutionary movement. The Occupy Wall Street finds the problem matter with the cronyism between the politics and the corporations—which endangers the public representation and even the livelihood of the general public. Therefore, the revolution of the Occupy Wall Street implies the reconfiguration of the system-public space relations in a more liable mode. In an objective to reconfigure the alternative, the Occupy Wall Street attempts to prefigure the new society in the manner of managing the movement in participatory democracy. The movement forms a network of the networks that allows the engagement of the various organizations, and more importantly, the general public.
The research question divides into two stages: First, the research studies the similarities and differences between the previous new social movements and the 21st-century Occupy Wall Street. Then, the research unearths the peculiarities with the Occupy Wall Street. Primarily, the Occupy Wall Street arose at the time of the Economic Recessionin contrary, the 1960s new social movements in the West occurred in the period of a relative economic prosperity. As the social condition differs, the Occupy Wall Street demands manifest the newness with the hybrid of the post-material and the material values. As a non-class new social movement, the Occupy Wall Street stems from the governing norm of, mutual respect, love, and acceptance. The movement emphasizes the diversity of the public demands. On such a basic agreement, the movement let inflow of the demands, which represents the critical mind of the Occupy Wall Street. The material values ergo transformed to prioritize on the mission to exposing the corruption of the 1%, while the classical notion of the material values foregrounds the guarantee of the labor rights.
The paper bases in the research methodology of historical institutionalism with critical juncture analysis. Overall research divides into two levels of analysis. At a macro-historical level of analysis, the paper examines the 2007-08 Great Recession, the 2010 Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United v. FEC (2010), and the 15-M Movement as the critical junctures to the rise of the Occupy Wall Street. Also, at a micro-historical level of analysis, the paper studies the institutional development of the Occupy Wall Streets arrangements through the agent-centered approach.Chapter 1. Introduction 1

Incidence, Diagnosis and Prognosis of Cardiac Amyloidosis
Introduction: Cardiac involvement is frequent in systemic amyloidosis and is the most important determinant of clinical outcome. The aims of this study were to assess the incidence and prognosis of cardiac amyloidosis and discuss diagnostic issues related to cardiac amyloidosis.
Methods: We retrospectively studied all patients diagnosed with systemic amyloidosis who presented to our institution from January 1999 to December 2011.
Results: Of the 129 patients with systemic amyloidosis, cardiac amyloidosis was diagnosed in 62 patients. At a mean of 3 years follow-up of the patients with systemic amyloidosis, there was statisticallysignificant difference in mortality between patients with cardiac amyloidosis and the rest of the patients (38.3% vs. 14.2%, log rank p = 0.014). And decreased LV function was theonly factor independently associated withsurvivalin cardiac amyloidosis patients in both univariate and multivariate analysis(HR3.936, 95% CI1.247-12.425, p = 0.020). In the diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathy, serum or urine PEPis not sensitive enough to be used clinically compared to serum FLC assay (35.8%vs. 96.4%).
Conclusions: In systemic amyloidosis, cardiac involvement is the most important determinant ofprognosis and decreased LV function was independently associated withsurvivalin cardiac amyloidosis patients.Introduction 1

Dept. of Biomedical Laboratory Science/석사Parkin is known to be a tumor suppressor protein. It was reported that Parkin was mutated or its expression reduced in a variety of cancer cells and reintroduction of Parkin into cancer cells suppressed cancer cell growth. There are several reports proposed the mechanism of Parkin acting as a tumor suppressor, nevertheless, it still remains to be fully elucidated. Malignant tumors usually possesses resistance toward tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α). Previously, our laboratory determined that parkin expression restores susceptibility to TNF-α-induced death of HeLa cells, a human cervical cancer cell line resistant to TNF-α-induced cell death. However, tumor suppressors often act in a multiple mechanisms. In this study, I investigated the role of Parkin in growth of cancer cells. I found that Parkin expression inhibits cell division cycle 2 (CDC2) activity via phosphorylation of CDC2 at Tyr15, thereby inducing G2/M cell cycle arrest. This seems to be due to the Parkin induced phosphorylation of cell division cycle 25C (CDC25C) and increased Myt1 protein level both of which are associated with the CDC2 phosphorylation. Furthermore, Parkin expression resulted in the dephosphorylation of histone H3 which may hinder the chromatin condensation that is essential for cell division. These results suggest that Parkin acts as a tumor suppressor not only by inducing apoptotic cancer cell death but also by regulating cell cycle progression via novel molecular mechanism I proposed.ope
This study presents a novel ideation aid termed technologically-related products from other domains (TeRPODs) for addressing technology-push product concept generation problems. A technology-push product concept generation problem is specified in terms of a new technology and a target product/industry/business domain for which the technology is to be utilized to create novel products/applications. TeRPODs are example applications of the technology collected from domains other than the target domain and serve as brainstorming stimuli during the new product concept generation. An experiment was conducted to empirically evaluate the utility of TeRPODs. The technology-push product concept generation problem considered was that of developing new applications of the augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD) technology for the automotive domain. Two groups of participants, one utilizing a relevant set of TeRPODs the TeRPODs group) for ideation and the other (the control group) without any ideation aids, performed individual brainstorming to generate new automotive AR HUD application concepts. The TeRPODs group produced a significantly better ideation outcome than the control group in the quantity and diversity of ideation outcome. Also, the use of TeRPODs significantly improved usefulness, novelty, preference and profitability ratings of generated ideas. TeRPODs may serve as a useful ideation tool for technology-push inventions. TeRPODs (Technologically-Related Products from Other Domains)를 개발했다. Chapter 1 Introduction 1
