    The present paper argues, in the line of Chornsky (1998), that the EPP(Extended Projection Principle)-feature of T may not be universally obligatory as the EPP-feature of phase heads v/C varies parametrically among languages and if available is optional. Accepting the idea of Fox (1998) and Chomsky (1999), we propose that optional operations can apply only if they have an effect on outcome and that the EPP position of T in Spanish can be optionally assigned interpretive complex INT(semantic interpretation such as topic). On the basis of Spanish data, we claim that T in Spanish can have EPP optional feature. As a result of this claim, we point out that (i) VSO orders lack an expletive pro, (ii) in the languages that dont have EPP feature obligatorily, there will not be a lexical expletive as it in English or il in French, (iii) in Spanish (XP)VS word order, the preverbal XP constituent(including subject) will occupy the [Spec, TP] position, checking the EPP optional feature of T and, as a result, showing the INT semantic effect such as a topic interpretation

    This paper tries to show the following. First, it aims to show that in the English there-construction, the expletive there can be considered as a locative external argument within the Feature Movement Analysis proposed on the basis of the Minimalist Program of Chomsky (1995) and Lasnik (1995). Second, it will be proposed that the verbs in Nominative Case System are all subject to Burzio's Generalization. There has been a number of analyses proposed on English there-construction in the generative grammar tradition. Especially with the launch of the Minimalist Program, its analysis has taken on a renewed theoretical significance. In particular, Chomsky (1995) proposes that there is a pure expletive that lacks Case and phi-features but contains D feature, which suffices to satisfy EPP (strong D feature of tense). For Lasnik (1995), the expletive there bears a Case of its own, while the inherent partitive Case is the only Case available for the associate NP. This paper, however, points out problems of the analysis of there as an pure expletive or as a preposed locative predicate (Moro (1991), Hoekstra & Mulder (990ยป. It is argued that the problems can be resolved if we consider the expletive there as a locative external argument, i.e. d-argument in the sense of Kratzer (1988). In addition to this, reconsidering the ideas of Belletti (1988), I argue that verbs in Nominative Case languages are all subject to Burzio's Generalization, because unaccusative verbs that assign inherent partitive Case to the internal argument NP do assign an external theta-role to there, the locative d-argument

Those were mainly for the adaptation of recruits to enterprise, these days are widely being introduced for the career development of existing employees. First of all, the main purpose of this study is to check if the menoring system bring about organizational commitment and what's the required mentor's competency to do it. With this in mind, we would like to review overseas research regarding the mentor's competency of mentor, the relation of mentor's competency and mentoring function and the relation of mentoring function and organizational commitment and so on. Besides we analysed whether the mentoring function mediates the relation between mentor's competency and organizational commitment. As a result, it proved that the mentoring function mediates the relation between mentor's competency and organizational commitment, therefore we confirmed the improtance of mentoring system as a means for the adaptation of recruits to enterprise
