This paper aims to explore how Kyrgyzstan's foreign relations have developed in the post-Soviet era according to its regimes by focusing on China which has recently been rapidly rising between the Russian federation and the US in the region of Central Asia. This paper also seeks to analyze several important bilateral issues between Kyrgyzstan and China. In a way of approach, the paper examines Kyrgyzstan's policy toward China by employing the perspectives of neighbouringborderline states' and foreign policy of small-states'. As has been well known, the importance of China for the foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan has been rapidly increasing. This indicates that China has become one of core states for Kyrgystan's policy among major powers including the US and the Russian federation under the new circumstances in the region of Central Asia. This clearly demonstrates that Kyrgyzstan has been seriously under new 'challenge' which might greatly affect its foreign policy direction in the future. Can Kyrgyzstan make this challenge into its new opportunity for its national interests? This paper has tried to emphasize the new level of geo-political importance of Kyrgyzstan in the region of Central Asia among the major powers. Simultaneously, the paper contends that Kyrgyzstan will not change its previous pro-Russian policy in the near future although the rising of China in the region has greatly challenged to the foreign policy direction of Kyrgyzstan. This paper might contribute to the study of small-states's foreign policy which has been under the competence of major powers, especially within the context of geo-strategic advantages

Since the late 2000s, due to the shale revolution, the export of shale energy by the U.S. and Canada have brought fundamental changes in the international energy market, which has now been transforming from a producer-centered to a consumer-centered market. Thus, it is necessary to examine and analyse the national strategies of traditional energy exporting countries in the Middle East, with regards to the international market, since both still have a tremendous influence in the international energy market. This will help better understand how the Shale revolution in North America affects the world energy market and international politics related to energy issues. This paper covers two countries in the Middle East -Saudia Arabia and Qatar- in examining and analysing national strategies of traditional energy exporters in the region with respect to the shale revolution: 1) Saudi Arabia as a main oil exporter in the Middle East; 2) Qatar as a main gas exporter in the Middle East. This paper begins by analysing some important factors how the Shale revolution has affected energy exporters of the Middle East in various ways
