Lifelong education scholars have observed learning process of adult learners in a specific environment. Especially, they have revealed that individuals and communities have grown through lost Communality in a village community. This study has started that learning is the phenomenon of interaction with others beyond individual cognitive level in specific situation and environment. Precedent studies have focused on the government system to activate community in a broad level of village. I call these types of government-centered, top down community model Meaning-Model. However, this study has paid attention to voluntary and bottom-up model, Co-housing, which is a Fun-Model. Co-housing has been begun as an alternative to overcome individualized housing culture in a capitalistic society. It was one of the community movements like education, ecosystem, economy and medical system. While seventy-seven percent of the Korean population has lived in an apartment house, many people have suffered from human alienation and social solitary which came from the growth of single elderly households, single-person household and nuclear family. This study has emphasized on the importance of Communality by concentrating on the concept of Co-housing with a critical mind to Korean housing culture. The case of this study is a Warm-Hearted Place(WHP, tentative name) which is the 8th Happy Together House(HTH, tentative name) located in Sungmisan Village Community in Mapogu, Seoul. The residents of WHP have lived in the co-housing since October, 2021. WHP has 7 households. And, there are 13 adults and 10 children in the building. Research questions have been raised. First, what is the meaning of Communality which have naturally learned from living together in co-housing? This study has dealt with not ubiquitous and timeless communality but historical and locational Communality. Second, how the residents of co-housing have learned their own Communality? They have learned Communality, not from formal and intentional education but from living of co-housing, itself. Then what is the detailed process of learning which spends time and shares space? Since this study has dealt with informal learning in everyday life, I used qualitative research methodology, ethnographical case study. I participated and observed official meeting, informal events and community activities. I interviewed members with the questions from participatory observation. Because this study focused on the adult learners, study participants are 13 members except for the minors. With the focus on the official community rule which members have made by themselves, I collected local materials of personal social network service and HTH on-line community. 4th and 5th chapter of this study are the answers of the first question which has asked the meaning of Communality. In the 4th chapter, I have made the readers understand special co-housing living culture by describing everyday life of co-housing in detail. In the 5th chapter, I have explained Communality which clearly revealed through double-sidedness and contradiction in living together. This study has defined the meaning of Communality of WHP residents. It is Never give up and Together or Separate, or loose community. Community members have chosen co-housing because they wanted to live together but they wanted to be respected about their own individuality at the same time. I defined the process of mediating and finding balance between Individuality and Collectivity as Communality. 6th chapter of this study is the answer for the second research question, which is the learning process of Communality of WHP residents. Above all, I have described how members learn together by interacting each other. Firstly, they take non-formal classes when they have some problems which is related to their life. Secondly, with their community works, each member plays their own part spontaneously with responsibility. Thirdly, they learn from seniors experience. They ask Sungmisan village community or senior members of 1th~7th HTH for help. Lastly, they learn each other directly by experiencing different way of life. Also, I analyzed the aspects of community learning in WHP through Cultural Historical Activity Theory(CHAT). First of all, I have described four symptoms of contradiction and revealed that residents have experienced the contradictions which are suitable for each symptom. And, based on the meaning of four dimensions of contradictions, they have suffered from each dimension of contradiction. Most of all, I have explained that the residents have confronted the fundamental contradiction which is a primary contradiction. Since they wanted to live together, they chose to live in co-housing, but they wanted to live alone at the same time. Secondly, on the basis of clash with objects, I have explained how activity elements have changed in a activity system. Two objects, Living together and Together or Separate collide in the activity system. To overcome this contradiction, Subject, Mediating Artifacts, Rules, Community and Divison of Labor are restructured. Through this process, residents can learn Communality. I call this Expansive Learning which is important in this study. Thirdly, as a result of this expansive learning, Growth of Community Culture is made. As the elements of activity system are restructured and changed, community culture is grown to achieve new object, Together or Separate. It is not from intentional effort that subject try to achieve object but from unintentional learning that meet Mediating Artifacts, Rules, Community and Division of Labor meet and contradiction in the activity system. Most importantly, these human and inhuman elements continually change, extend and recreate. This is the evidence that community is a living and learning creature. Fourth, I have explained that since WHP is a fun-model, it cannot be analyzed through the epistemological circulation process of expansive learning. In the lifelong education field, case studies analyzed by expansive learning are mainly top-down meaning model, which is a government-centered. The members of WHP had gathered life itself, to live more fun and romantic life, so it is a bottom-up and fun model. Therefore, WHP does not properly respond to circulation process of expansive learning because it is rhizomic and connected horizontally. The significance of this study is as follows. First, by analyzing mutual learning channels and aspects in the specific community movement, Co-housing, I have contributed to develop and expand the concept of Community learning. Also, I have discovered that Together or separate of their object is double-bind, which is the primary contradiction of Activity Theory. Second, since WHP is fun-model which is different from meaning-model, I have explained that it does not perfectly respond to circulation process of expansive learning. As community is fundamentally fun-model, we should take a look at this types of community and study learning process microscopically.์ „ํ†ต์ ์ธ ๊ต์œกํ•™์€ ํ•™๋ น๊ธฐ์˜ ํ•™์ƒ๋“ค์ด ํ•™๊ต๋ผ๋Š”
